10 STEPS BACK! Tennessee Titans Lose to Las Vegas Raiders 20-10 in NFL Week 6 | Reaction

take everything that you saw last week and just throw it out the window. That was an ugly loss, a winnable game, a very winnable game. That was ugly because you played terrible. And Tennessee Titans now fall to one and five on the season. And um the season’s over. It it it it is over, ladies and gentlemen. Welcome into Titans Today by Chat Sports. I am your host Brett Alber. This was a game I predicted. I predicted that the Titans would win this game because the Raiders were one and four. It was a one-4 game against a one one and 14 versus a one-4. And the Raiders turn the ball over a ton. You take advantage of that. The Raiders have no offense. you take advantage of that. And what did the Titans do? They didn’t take advantage at all. Not one single thing they did right today. Not one single thing. They did not score a point in the first half. And you were down 10 nothing. I’ll give props to the defense. We’ll start with the positives, which there’s not many. There’s maybe two. And um the defense played well on the first drive of the game. Jeffrey Simmons had a sack on Gino Smith. You held the Raiders to 10 points in the first half. You held the Raiders to 20 points overall. You had you let Gino Smith not really cook you 17 for 174 yards with one touchdown, one interception. He had a QBR of 37.8. He didn’t play well. You held the Raiders team total to 226 yards, excuse me, 68 rushing yards. And they have Ashton Genty. Your defense played well. It was the offense that could not do a single thing. The play calling was bad. Cam Ward played bad except for the last BS drive that kind of padded the stats and made it look better. And I feel bad for all the fans that have to watch week in and week out of this game. Like Jeffrey Simmons, six tackles, two tackles for loss, one sack, two quarterback hits. He’s being wasted. He is being wasted right now. His career is his prime is being wasted. And I know the Titans want to talk about, oh, well, you can save him because you have a gem. You have a gem, but I don’t know how you can turn it around. You tried to turn it around and let’s kind of move to the offense. You tried to turn around. Mike Borgansi tried to turn around and make this team better. And he started with the offensive line. And back to the defense real quick. I will say Cody Barton is one hell of a player. He is one hell of a player. And I really enjoy watching this Titans defense. It’s not bad. I mean, 12 tackles for Cedric Gray. You had Draymond Jones with a sack. You had Femiola Dejo with two tackles loss. He did leave the He did leave the uh game with a calf injury. Did not return. It’s just bad. It’s a bad bad bad team. Bard on interception, two uh PBUS. Everybody wants to talk about Jamir DK and how like he’s he was a bad pick. Great on kick returns, great on special teams, but you create nothing out of it. And you want to talk about the defense letting up 20 points? Well, Cam Ward fumbled the ball at uh the two-yd line. Then you stop the uh Raiders in third and goal. You can only do so much from the two. But to the offense, the first thing I want to look at is just the offensive line. And I was talking about it. It’s bad. And um I I just out of the laughs like I want to know what is your one-word reaction to this loss to the Raiders because this was your one shot to gain some momentum and win your first twoame winning streak since November of 2022. Took a step back, a major step back. You took two steps forward in that win over Arizona, the comeback win, and then you took 10 steps back and uh fumbled by Cam Ward. Two fumbles by Cam Ward, and they were both ugly and bad and disgusting. But uh I mean for the offensive line, Mike Boronzi, you tried to make this offensive line better, and it was good last week. I don’t know what difference did it make from last week to this week, but it was bad. And some of it is on Cam Ward. He he holds the ball way too long. He was pressured constantly and JC Laam was back on the field. Oludo, you you played well last week, but it was JC Laam’s spot. They were unable to protect the quarterback. Six times, ladies and gentlemen. Six times for 62 yards. And I want to say like the running game wasn’t bad. You ran the ball only 15 times. And Taj Spears came back and Taji Spears being back has helped this offense a little bit. He had four receptions for 19 yards, but on the ground five carries only five for 31 yards. He’s averaging six yards a carry. Why did you get Why did you like go away from the run game? Because Camp Cam Ward is not playing well and Calvin Ridley had one catch for 18 yards and then he had a hamstring injury and he was out for the rest of the game. It is time to just you got to fire Brian Callahan. You got to blow up the team. Fire sale and build around Cam Ward if you really think that he’s your franchise guy. I saw on Titans Twitter, people are questioning if Cam Ward is that guy because he does not look good. He does not look good. And if you look at the 2024 draft class, not comparing this year to last year, every quarterback looks really good from that draft class. And it’s only you saw the potential in their first year and now they’re thriving. Jaden Daniels looks like an AllPro. Caleb Williams even looks good. Drake May looks like a top 10 quarterback. And guess who you got to play next week? Mike Frabel comes into town and it’s a six and a half point spread. And I don’t even It’s It’s only going to grow. It’s only going to grow. It might be an ugly game, but like Caleb Williams, Drake May, Jaden Daniels, Bo Nicks, the list goes on and on. And a lot of those guys looked really good in their first year. Looked really good. And Cam Ward, if it’s a product of what is around you, that could be it. But right now, you have a 55 completion percentage. You have,00 yards, you have three touchdowns, and now you have more interceptions. And I’m pretty sure the first two games of the year you didn’t throw one. He’s regressing, if not progressing, for Cam Ward. And the offensive line is bad. And it’s not going to it’s not going to get any better. It’s not going to get any better, which is a problem. And you got a lot to work on. But it starts once again firing your head coach because I really like this Titans defense. You the like you don’t give the ball to the two yard line to the Las Vegas Raiders. They don’t have 20 points. So like this offense has to get better and it starts with the quarterback. If you still believe in Cam Ward, like the video, hit that thumbs up icon, and if you don’t, go down in the comments section and tell me why. It’s going to be over action Monday. Over reaction Monday tomorrow, and we’ll see what I’m thinking after that game. It was a bad watch. It was a very, very bad watch. Keep up with all your news and rumors for the Tennessee Titans. We got a preview coming later this week. gonna talk about what what is next for this Titans team and probably talk about once again getting rid of Brian Callahan. But uh the job security is not looking good. Hit that sub button and as always tighten up. [Music]

  1. We aren't winning anything with Callahan as coach. Doesn't matter who we have or who we face. Callahan is terrible. I wish he would just resign to be honest. How can anyone blame Cam Ward when the coach has literally looked the same with 2 different QBs?

  2. "the season is over"….. You mean that, before today, anyone thought they could turn it around?.

The titans are a different level of bad that we rarely see in the NFL. They won last year because the cardinals kicked themselves in the cock repeatedly

  3. Way too early to give up on Cam Ward. Look at who he has to work with. The Head coach sucks, the offensive line sucks, the plays are predictable, and there's problems with the front office. I know this years QB draft class wasn't great, but look at Jackson Dart and Skatabu. Both players the Titans could have drafted, but somehow didn't make it on the radar. Somethings wrong not only with the team, but with scouting and beyond. Where do we begin to to fix this team? Please Amy, get some football people in the building or sell the team. It's beyond embarrassing now.
