IN THE LOCKER ROOM AND THEY ASSUMED. IT WAS AARON GLENN SCREAMING AT HIS TEAM WHICH FELL TO 4 AND 0. HERE IS A MORE SUBDUED AARON, GLENN TALKING ABOUT HOW THE MISTAKES COST THEM ALONG WITH SOME COMMENTS FROM BREE HALL, WHO ENDED UP HAVING A SOLID NIGHT DESPITE THE DEFEAT A VERY DISAPPOINTING, UM, VERY DISAPPOINTING AND THERE’S NO WAY WAY YOU CAN WIN ANY GAME WITH 13 PENALTIES AND 3 TURNOVERS. IT JUST CAN’T HAPPEN. UM, BUT WHAT WE HAVE TO DO IS GO BACK TO WORK, YOU KNOW, WE HAVE TO GO. THAT’S THE ONLY WAY THAT WE CAN FIX AND REALLY TAKE A LOOK AT THESE PENALTIES. TAKE A LOOK AT THESE TURNOVERS AND MAKE SURE WE UNDERSTAND THAT WE HAVE TO UNDERSTAND BEFORE YOU CAN WIN GAMES, YOU HAVE TO LEARN HOW NOT TO LOSE GAMES. AND WE HAVE TO DO A BETTER JOB IN THAT CASE. UM, AND WE WILL, WE WILL, IT’S JUST A TALE OF, YOU KNOW, 3 OUT OF OUR 4 LOSSES, YOU KNOW TEAMS. WILL SHOOT OURSELVES IN THE SHOOT OURSELVES IN THE HEAD. SO, UM, YOU CAN’T WIN IF, YOU KNOW, UM, DEFENSIVELY. IF, YOU KNOW YOU WE OUR OFFENSIVELY IF WE’RE NOT, UM, YOU KNOW, CONVERTING ON THIRD DOWN. IF WE’RE NOT GETTING US TO START A MANAGEABLE, YOU KNOW WE’RE IN SECOND AND 25 SECOND AND 20 FIRST AND 15 LIKE UM, GETTING STUPID DUMB PENALTIES AND STUFF. SO I MEAN THAT’S BEEN THE FRUSTRATING THING. HOW YOU STOP THAT? I DON’T KNOW HOW YOU COACH THAT BECAUSE A CERTAIN NUMBER OF PENALTIES ARE UNAVOIDABLE AND IF YOU WATCH A PLAY CLOSELY ENOUGH IT SEEMS LIKE SOMETHING HAPPENS ON ON EVERY SINGLE SNAP. OR NOT I KNOW THAT BILL BELLA CHECK IS BIG. ON COACHING THE MINIMIZATION OF PENALTIES, BECAUSE THAT’S YOU, YOU HAVE FIRST AND 15 OR FIRST AND 20, GOOD LUCK CONVERTING. YOU’VE GOT, YOU KNOW, SHORTER FIELD, OR FIRST AND 5 OR AUTOMATIC FIRST DOWN, GOOD LUCK. STOPPING THEM IF YOU START, FACTORING THAT INTO YOUR OFFENSE DEFENSE. BUT HOW DO YOU, HOW IS A PRACTICAL MATTER? DO YOU TEACH GUYS TO NOT DRAW YELLOW FLAGS? AS SOON AS YOU SAID THAT, LIKE MY I STARTED SMILING INSIDE BECAUSE I I THOUGHT ABOUT THE DUMB, LIKE THE DUMB S***. WE USED TO DO SOMETIMES THAT WOULD PISS YOU OFF AS A PLAYER BUT LIKE SAWS GARNER GETS CALLED FOR THE PASS INTERFERENCE KIND OF HOLDING AND LIKE RIGHT AWAY. I THOUGHT BACK TO BEING A DB AND MY HAND, HAVING A TENNIS BALL IN IT AND THEN THEM TAPING MY HAND WITH THE TENNIS BALL AND US, HAVING 2, TENNIS BALLS IN OUR HANDS TAPED UP. SO YOU COULDN’T HOLD THAT THEN WENT ON TO CORNERS, HAVING TO WEAR BOXING GLOVES AND DIRT DIFFERENT PERIODS OF PRACTICE AND THAT’S HOW WE WERE GOING TO STOP GETTING THE PASS PENALTIES, WHETHER IT’S PASS INTERFERENCE, WHETHER IT TAKING THAT AWAY AND THEN I THOUGHT ABOUT BEING IN NEW ENGLAND AND THE OFFENSIVE LINE AND WE GOT HIT WITH TOO MANY HOLDING PENALTIES, SO THEY WERE THEN OUT THERE WITH OVEN MITTS ON WE HAD OFFENSIVE LINEMAN OF PRACTICE FULL PADS WITH OVEN MITTS ON AND IS THAT GOING TO STOP YOU FROM HOLDING IN A GAME? NO, YOU GOT YOUR HANDS AND YOU CAN DO IT. BUT THE MENTALITY OF HAVING TO DO THAT, HOW MUCH IS IT PISSES YOU OFF? AND ALL YOU HEAR IS YOUR COACH, HE’S SCREAMING. IT’S THE FUNDAMENTALS. IF YOU PUT YOUR HANDS WHERE THEY’RE SUPPOSED TO BE, YOU DON’T HAVE TO GRAB AND DOING THAT OVER AND OVER AGAIN. I THINK MENTALLY IT, IT PUTS EVERYBODY IN A I CAN’T HAVE A PENALTY. I CAN’T GET CALLED FOR HOLDING BECAUSE IF I GET A CALL FOR HOLDING, IT’S GOING TO MAKE WHAT HE’S DOING. THE REASON WHY WE NEED TO DO IT AND WE’RE GOING TO KEEP DOING IT. AND THAT THAT WHAT THAT’S WHAT HAPPENED FOR. LIKE ANYTHING THAT HAPPENED IN THE GAME, THERE WAS A WAY TO FIX IT AND BILL’S MIND IF WE FUMBLED THE BALL THEN NOW HE WAS GOING TO GET THESE BALLS AND HE WAS GOING TO FILL THEM WITH LIKE SILICONE AND ALL THESE DIFFERENT THINGS TO MAKE THEM EVEN MORE SLIPPERY. AND THEN THAT’S HOW YOU WERE GOING TO HAVE TO PRACTICE. THOSE ARE THE BALLS YOU WERE GOING TO USE. SO IT WAS LIKE THINKING OF HOW CAN I MAKE THIS AS HARD AS POSSIBLE IN PRACTICE OVER AND OVER AND OVER AGAIN, THAT WOULD CREATE CHANGES IN THE GAME AND SOMETIMES IT WORKS. SOMETIMES IT DIDN’T BUT IT WAS I THINK IT WAS THE EFFORT TO GUIDE IT TO TRY TO GET IT CHANGED. THAT HELPED THE GUYS OUT IF YOU WERE HAVING THOSE PROBLEMS, I’M STILL TRYING TO ENVISION YOU WITH TENNIS BALLS TAPE TO YOUR HANDS, UH, AND UH BUT BUT YOU KNOW IT IT’S AMAZING IN THIS HIGH-TECH WORLD, THE LOW TECH THINGS. THAT FOOTBALL COACHES WILL TRY TO DO TO TRY TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE. I I I’M ALSO CURIOUS BECAUSE I THINK BACK TO THE ERA EARLY IN YOUR CAREER, WHEN THE LEGION OF BOOM WAS IN THEIR HEYDAY, THEY SAID THE QUIET PART OUT LOUD, A COUPLE OF THE TIMES WHERE THEIR APPROACH WAS JUST HOLD THE RECEIVERS EVERY PLAY AND IT OVERWHELMS, THE SYSTEM, AND THEY’RE NOT GOING TO THROW A FLAG. EVERY PLAY DID BELLICH EVER TOY WITH THAT? KIND OF STRATEGIC BREAKING OF THE RULES AND DARING THE OFFICIALS TO THROW THE FLAG BECAUSE YOU’RE NOT GOING TO BE THE GUY WHO DROPS THE YELLOW FLAG EVERY SINGLE SNAP BECAUSE EVENTUALLY THE FOCUS IS ON YOU FOR DROPPING THE FLAG, NOT THE GUY WHO COMMITTED THE PENALTY. NOT, NOT NOT NOT WHAT THAT, THAT WORDING OR OR A KIND OF WAY OF DOING IT BECAUSE BILL WAS A BIG GUY ON. WE CAN’T GET THIRD DOWN, HOLDING PENALTIES, BUT LIKE, STEPHON GILMORE CAME TO OUR TEAM FROM BUFFALO AND HE SAID, WE USED TO TALK ABOUT LIKE THEY’RE NOT GOING TO CALL YOU FOR A HOLDING 5 OR 6 TIMES A GAME, MAYBE YOU GET CALLED FOR 2 BUT THEN THEY’RE GOING TO NOT DO THAT. AND NEW ENGLAND, IT WAS DO BUSINESS AS BUSINESS AS BEING DONE. SO LIKE IF WE GET IN THE GAME AND THEY’RE CALLING HOLDING TIGHT STOP HOLDING AND WE GET IN A GAME AND HEY, ILLEGAL J. AM AT 7 YARDS. JAM YOUR BUTT OFF AT 7 YARDS. LIKE DO WHAT IS BEING ALLOWED FROM THE OFFICIALS? BECAUSE AS WE KNOW WE TALKED ABOUT ALL THE TIME BUT IT DEPENDS ON WHAT CREW WHENEVER WE WENT IN THE GAMES BILL GAVE US THE REPORT, THEN THE SYNOPSIS OF THE CREW WE WERE GETTING HEY THEY’RE HEAVY AND PERSONAL FOULS HATER HEAVY AND OFFENSIVE HOLDING. HEY THIS THIS CREW LOVES CALLING PAST, INTERFERENCE, OR ANY KIND OF PASS PENALTIES, LIKE WE KNEW ALL OF THAT GOING INTO THE GAME. AND THAT WAS WHAT WE CAME IN AN ALERT FOR OF LIKE, HEY, THIS GAME’S PROBABLY GOING TO GET CALLED TIGHT, WE NEED TO BE ABLE TO FIGURE THAT OUT IN THE FIRST QUARTER BY SPECIALLY. NO MATTER IF YOU WERE ON OFFENSE OR DEFENSE PAYING ATTENTION TO THE OTHER SIDE. IF THE OTHER DBS GOT CAUGHT FOR 3, PASS INTERFERENCES ON A DRIVE. HEY GUYS. LIKE WE SEE THAT. LET’S PAY ATTENTION WHEN WE GO OUT THERE AND LET’S NOT GET THOSE SAME PENALTIES. THAT WAS MORE OF THE APPROACH WE HAD IN NEW IT REALLY IS AMAZING. IT JUST HIGHLIGHTS THE AMOUNT OF EFFORT AND WORK AND PLANNING AND CREATIVITY AND ALL THE DIFFERENT WAYS THAT COACHES TRY TO ENGINEER AND UNDERSTAND EVERY SINGLE FACET, EVERY SINGLE WRINKLE ALL THE WAY DOWN TO TRENDS AND OFFICIATING. WHETHER THIS THAT ALL HAVING THAT 1 KEY BREAK, GO YOUR WAY THAT YOU CAN’T CONTROL THAT. YOU NEVER THOUGHT OF THAT IS IMPOSSIBLE FOR ANYONE TO TRULY ENGINEER. IT REALLY IS CRAZY AND IT JUST SHOWS HOW CLOSE SO MANY GAMES ARE. HOW EXCITING THE OUTCOMES

It's like the NFL has tried to even out the calls made against the defense for roughing the passer and pass interference by upping the procedure and lineup calls on the offense because they sure don't want to call offensive PI or let the QB's get touched for some reason. I can't remember the game I watched this weekend where a ball was slightly overthrown and the defender had a step on the WR. The WR basically pulled the defenders arm down preventing the INT before the ball got there and then had the audacity to ask for a PI call against the DB. They didn't flag the DB but they should have flagged the WR but just let what he did completely go.

  5. Jets faced three opponents last night, themselves, the Dolphins and the Refs. That OPI on Wilson was terrible. The Tua penalty should have never been called because he slid at the last second. What are defenders supposed to do when the QB is running towards them? They've seen Mahomes lower his shoulder to get that advantage. To make matters worse, they didn't call a flag when Fields was literally tackled five yards out of bounds. They didn't call a flag on an obvious late hit on the TE who was already on the ground! That defender literally jumped on his back and no flag. Even the announcers were in disbelief that it wasn't called. Or when the Jets offensive lineman had his helmet ripped off for the second time, no flag. Yes the Jets suck but they don't need the refs constantly calling a biased game.

  7. Love all the winnings and winning culture at Jets land 0-4 vs Pittsburgh culture 3-1. Oh by the way they have old washed up Rodgers over there for like $10milliin only. Wait, that was your guy you threw in the trash.

  13. Jets seem a lot like the Lions in MCDC’s first year. Always in it, but just shooting themselves in the foot. They’ll get better if they stick with AG and Woody Johnson stays out of the way

  14. I guessed the Jets would get 5 wins this year, but now that might be optimistic. They struggled last year, and I never saw anything to make me think they’d be better this year. Switching Rodgers for Fields, hiring a rookie HC and OC, that was never going to be easy. They didn’t sign any new great players either

  15. Screaming? Glenn looked nervous in the pregame, scared during the game and defeated at the end. To think a DC who's defense was ranked in the bottom ten consistently would be a great coach is just stupid. They sold the fans on how he knows New York, He knows what it means to be a Jet even tho he only played one year for Woody Johnson over 20 years ago and yet with all this praise Johnson never put him in the ring of honor. The Jets have become the NFLs biggest joke with their propaganda state TV B.S trying to sell this team because they can't sell it through wins.

  22. The jets are cursed it doesn’t matter who you have at HC if your team can’t execute plays and commits over 100 yards worth of penalties in a game, you’re not gonna win games you can have Bill Belichick as your head coach and it wouldn’t matter the Jets would still be 0-4

  24. Say what you want about Bill…. His reputation for situational football is top tier… Practice how you play…. you dont want to hold every play because in those tough situations your going to fall to your bad habits and cost your team

Jets is cursed since Namath won the chip wayyyyyyy before I was even born I watched that whole game on Google drive after drive jets penalized for them to punt the ball take our whole philosophy of trying to win the game into an laughing stock I'm threw with these team need major improvements

  29. He's got to figure it out? What was he doing in his 28+ years as a player and a coach? Get control of your team. All the yards and points mean nothing if you are penalized to death and poorly coached. Who coached the return team to call for a fair catch at the 2-yard line? Or to make sure that you tuck the ball in when you are running the ball back after the kickoff? This a first-string talented team being coached by a bunch of second-string coaches. 3-14 Maybe. And quite possibly 0-17. Woody hire a winning seasoned HC. You have had plenty of opportunities over the last few years. Stop the experimenting with wanna be OC's and DC's.

  31. Not a Jets fan but they’ve been lost since Parcells and Belichek walked away. Saw them lose the 1998 AFC Championship to Denver. Downhill since. Crazy how bad they’ve been.
