NBA LIVE! Los Angeles Lakers vs Golden State Warriors October 13, 2025 | 2025 NBA Season Live 2K

Heat. Heat. N. love lost in this matchup. And that competitive fire, it grows when you’re in the same conference. You get to see each other so often. You know, BA, I think we’re in for some good theater in this one. Let’s take a look at our starters for the Golden State Warriors. Curry and Pods pairing up in the back court. Down low, it’ll be the tenacious pair of Butler and Draymond. And it’s Moody in at the three slot. Butler with a steal. Moody on the wing. Count it. One for one to start the game. Just taking it right to the rim. And no one was there to greet him. Well, this early they should be showing a lot more energy on defense. It’s not there. The three. James called in by Curry. And so it’s Curry with it. He brings it up for the Warriors. The three and a great assist by Butler as that one goes off a pass. Steph Curry. That one is always going in or almost always going in. Pass to James. Back to Aimura beyond the ark. The rebound by Moody. A chance here to catch up with Ally from the sideline. Earlier I spoke with JJ Re. We talked about the challenge of facing off with Steph Curry, the three-point king. Coach said it’s not just the threes that are concerned with Steph. It’s how well he passes the ball. He’s one of the best point guards ever. And Curry will get everyone else involved. Back to you, Ryan. Thank you for that, Ally. Boy, with the basketball IQ of a 15-year vet, Donic makes plays that even veterans struggle with outside Pachki. And about 2 minutes into the first quarter here, Green with a screen on Donic. Pass to Green. This one for three. It’s rebounded by Los Angeles. Donic passes to Reeds. Back to Donic. Let’s go with a three. Always a nice way to start. Makes his first one. Watch out now when Don is dialed in from deep because he’s unguardable outside. Moody. Pass to Pajimsky. [Music] Here’s Curry and Aiden pulls it down. Well, he’s a really good shooter. got a good look from medium range and I think they’ll go back to that. And last season the Warriors had their most success playing a small ball lineup Greg. Well, they more than held their own on the backboards in defending the paint, but you knew they’d look to add some size this summer. Burries it from three and that’s what they want to do. Get him open looks early. Oh, it’s stolen by Butler. Moody on the wing. Check by James. [Applause] Pajimsky with it. James is there. The shot by Pajimky. No good. Lakers trail by three. [Applause] Outside. Reeves. Now to Aimura. Fires the three. Great D that time from Pimsky. Green. The pass to Moody. Back to Green. Pass to Curry. Now here’s Moody. Back to Curry. Clock at six. Over James. Curry shot his own. Clean look from mid-range. Coach will probably want to run that play again. Now Aiden. Nice ball movement by Los Angeles. On the wing. Reeves gets the three ball to go. Zero hesitation from Reeds that time. He never lacks confidence. Golden State has gone two for four from range to start things off. [Applause] Butler surveying the floor and they come right back with their own three-pointer. This is just fun. These teams are trading threes back and forth. Nothing like answering back. One team gets three, you fire three of your own. Boom. [Applause] And Reeves has got the ball here for the Lakers. It’s a three-point game. [Music] To the paint. Here’s Donic. And Donic hammers it home. Luca with so many physical gifts. Tanky flight right there. outside Butler [Music] outside Pajimsky and he got the whistle on the way up. So he’ll be headed to the line for a pair and Clark for all the excitement around acquiring Luca Donic. Now the Lakers hoping to get him back to the NBA finals. His youth sets them up for the future BA. But with LeBron James in the fold, they still want to try to win now. That’s good from Butler. Well, Grant, the Lakers captured the three seed last season, but only the eighth best point differential in the West. What does that tell you? It tells me that they overachieved in the regular season, but a team this star-studded has postseason aspirations as well. That’s where they’ll look to improve. Butler hits them both. Continuing to work on refining his craft. Butler puts in a great amount of time, maybe more than most. James outside. Back to Donic. Aimura outside. The shot is good. Donic making the play. He’s one of those guys who just knows how to generate offense. Golden State has gone three for five from deep so far in this matchup. Here’s Butler. Nice move. Oo, excellent D there from Aiden. Not a lot you can say except fantastic job by the defense. Screen by James to the inside and he makes it on the layup. Well, you better stop the ball, especially when it’s LeBron James with it. That guy is pretty good. Outside Green. Pass to Butler. Six to shoot. Butler, the three. Nice. Gets his second bucket. He’s two for four now. And Butler’s ball skills now pretty tight for a wing guy. He’s excellent at creating for himself on offense. Here’s Donic. Oh, it’s blocked by Green. Pass to Pajimsky. Oo, nice concentration to hit the double clutch layup. Pajimski’s got five now. It looked like that was going to be blocked, but then he pulled the Houdini and flipped it in for the score. James, a screen on Curry. Donic passes to Reeds, hits the three-pointer. Six points for him. shooting from a rock solid base. That gives Austin just the added range he was looking for. Green. The pass to Curry. And that comes off the assist by Green. And the Warriors lead by three. This is just fun. These teams are trading threes back and forth. Nothing like answering back. One team gets three, you fire three of your own. Boom. Curry against Donic. Oh, he nails that one. Three for four now. Luca uses his body to create space and then finds the inside look. And here’s Butler. Give him eight points now. [Applause] And he gets the bucket. Just selling the defense on the pump fake. Donic against Curry. Out to Aimura. Pass to James and Los Angeles. Another three. I guess the defense was not expecting the quick release. LeBron can get it up and down in a hurry though. And Steve Kerr wants a timeout. I think right now he might be Luji Mura. Labia is checked in for James and Smart subbed in for Reeves. [Applause] Here’s healed. [Applause] Pass the post. Kaminga up top. He’s covered by Larabia. Kaminga. Shot is off. Donic right side again. The Lakers. And you know, you look at Donic for a forward. This guy handles the ball extremely well. He’s terrific at creating for himself off the dribble. Back to heel. Oh, and he got fouled on his way up. He’ll head to the line to shoot two. They’ll pin that one on Marcus Smart. The defense there doing whatever they can to protect the rim. Definitely saved the layup with that foul and he’ll make him earn him from the line and that’s what you want to see. [Applause] The first free throw is good. Everybody knows about how Buddy Heield is an incredible three-point threat. But what I love, here’s a guy with a bunch of years playing 80 or more games. Love that durability. He’s ready to go whenever they call his name. And the Warriors making a change here. Santos has checked in. And so it’s Smart who brings up the ball for Los Angeles. [Applause] And Donic launches from deep. Rebounded by Heield. He didn’t make them pay for that weak defense. But they just can’t rely on him to miss those kind of shots. Kaminga finds Heel. Launches it. It’s rebounded by Los Angeles. And from the sideline, let’s catch up with Allie. Thank you. Draymond Greens talked about his mind for the game. He said, “I’ve never been the tallest or the fastest. We all have gifts. My IQ is a gift that was enhanced by great coaches. I was taught the game properly, so I’m very fortunate and extremely thankful for the coaches that I’ve had in my life.” Brian paying tribute. All right. Thank you, Ally. Kicks it out to Smart. Five to shoot. The Lakers got to get one up. Late clock from deep. Here’s Donic. Missed it. Four for seven so far in this one. Healed on the wing. Guarded by Donic. And there’s the whistle. The illegal screen is the call. One of the trickier plays to judge, but it would be hard to argue against the call. Yeah, you know, the officials aren’t nearly as lenient as they used to be on that call. As a matter of fact, I know I got away with a lot of those in my playing days, but that was 40 years ago. Jackson Davis has checked in for the Warriors. Jimmy Butler comes in for Santos. Los Angeles shooting an excellent 56% in this quarter. Clea screen on Butler inside. Clea shot is off. Everything right except the finish. Have to keep focused all the way through the play. Dominguez shot is off. So it’s Los Angeles now. Arabia passes to Clea and he was camped in the lane there. He gets a 3second call. 121 left in the first quarter. Need against Smart. Now here’s Butler. Defense right on him and unable to get the go-ahead bucket there. Nice ball movement by Los Angeles. Vanderville. A screen on Butler. [Applause] Butler against Donic. Lorravia with a screen to win the drought. Kicks it to Donic. Smart outside. Off target from three-point range. Defense dodged a bullet that time. Total breakdown. Butler up top. He’s checked by Clea. Butler against Cleba. Pass to Kaminga. Here’s Post. And the bucket is good. And the Warriors lead by two. Butler against Donic. Clea. Screen on Butler down low. Shot is good by Clea. took that orange right to the rack and they just let him go by. Tie game in Los Angeles and the second quarter is on its way when we return. [Applause] [Applause] and getting it going again here in the second quarter. Fairly close game so far. What do you guys think about Los Angeles here in this one? Well, clearly they played well in the first period because of their selfless attitude. Yeah, and you know, so many of their hoops came off an assist, which is a good sign of ball movement and sharing that ball. They’ve got Jake Larabia, Jared Vanderbilt out there with Maxi Cleba. Then there’s Marcus Smart and it’s Reeves in at the two guard spot. That’s the group for the Lakers to kick off the second quarter. The Lakers trail outside Reeves [Applause] [Music] up top. Vanderbilt pass to Larabia. It’s stolen by Kuminga over Vanderbilt. Kuminga shot is off. Los Angeles has gone five of 12 from three-point range tonight on the wing. Reeves [Applause] gets rebounded by Golden State [Applause] outside heel to the middle. Here’s Butler. Good D by Vanderbilt. Well, Los Angeles shooting the ball at 48% so far. Reeves the pass to Cleba. Smart for three and Smart nails the triple. Getting the ball and taking his shot. Smart makes it look almost effortless. Pass to post. [Applause] Butler against Reeds. Nope, that doesn’t drop. He’s now three for eight in the contest. And here in the second, two minutes gone by. [Applause] Shot clock at six. Pass to Vanderbilt. Launches it from deep. The rebound by Post. And it’s Butler with the ball for the Warriors. Outside heel and he loss it up. Well, plenty of give and take so far. Yeah, six lead changes already. Both teams came to play. Los Angeles has gone one of two from deep in the second quarter. [Music] Outside Reeves Clea screen on Butler and play stops. A whistle there on what looks like an illegal screen. Grant, you played in a more physical era of the NBA. Now it seems like the league is trying to strike a balance there. I think you’re spot on, BA. There’s been some back and forth trying to keep the game free flowing and physical. The league’s trying for the best of both worlds. Here’s what Los Angeles is going with right now. Kette comes in for Larabia and Vincent is subbed in for Smart. Jackson Davis making sure of it with the two hand slam. Ba. Yeah, I don’t blame him. With the score this tight, you cannot take a chance here. I get the feeling guys that he may be sensing that this is a critical time in this game. And once again off the mark by Los Angeles. The Warriors lead by three [Applause] outside heel. [Applause] Vanderville against Kaminga. Back to heel. Down to five on the shot clock. [Applause] The Lakers with a rebound. [Music] Outside connect pass to Benson. Oh, it’s stolen by Butler [Applause] inside. Here’s Post. Nice pass. Nice catch and a resounding dunk. And that’s got to hurt. A turnover for a free run at the rim. And now we know who has the momentum. You know, those kinds of plays can be difference makers, game changers, momentum shifters, especially [Applause] [Applause] Oh, it’s stolen by Butler. And the Warriors pushing it up now. Butler soarses in the cap off the break. And a moment here to take a look at some hustle stats for the Warriors. They’ve really been disruptive on the defensive end, forcing turnovers and turning those turnovers into points at the other end. Yeah. and also a great job hustling on turnovers and turning them into points. Defense fitting often so far in this one and some changes here for the Lakers. Hayes has checked in for Koko and Luca Donic subbed in for Vincent. Here’s Golden State. They’ve gone on an eight nothing run. Curry passes to Butler. Pass to post. And a great assist by Butler as that one goes. Butler’s got six assists now in the game. They’re punishing those late defensive rotations, getting good looks inside throughout the half. It’s stolen by Curry. The elbow Curry off target. That would have pushed the lead to double digits. Donic with it. Green picks him up. [Applause] Donic feeling it out a bit. It’s stolen by Green. And here comes the break. And here they go. And there’s the slam dunk to finish it off. And you know, for a big man, I think Green is one of the better dimes in the league. I mean, he’s a true point forward who has excellent vision and sees the floor well. And so now a timeout called by JJ Reic. A moment to rest and confer on the game plan. [Applause] [Music] Heat. [Applause] Heat. [Music] Heat. Heat. [Music] DeAndre Eaton. He’s checked in for the Lakers. LeBron comes in for Reeves. The Warriors also with a sub. Pajimski’s checked in for post. [Applause] So, it’s Los Angeles now. They trail by 11 now. Here’s Donic. He’s got nine. They need this. Pass to Aiden. The shot is good. Donic making the play. Yeah, this is where Aiden’s comfortable operating using his height and array of inside moves to his advantage. Outside Curry [Applause] puts up a three. Oh, Curry, a sick triple and just not letting up at all. I mean, you have to love this approach. You want to get the ball to the guys who make plays. If it’s working, keep working it. That’s what I say. Keep the pressure on. Here’s Aiden. Oh, Green with a block. Green takes great pride in his defense now. He loves denying shots at the rim and playing bigger than his 68 frame would lead you to believe. And a second look at that rejection. Taking no prisoners on defense there. Yeah, obviously he had the shot well anticipated. Able to shut it down with authority. Aimura’s checked in for Los Angeles. The Warriors also with a sub. Moody’s checked in for heel. That’s going to be over and back. Not watching the line on that one. Lakers ball. [Applause] Curry against Donic. James passes to Donic. Out to Aimura. [Applause] Pass to James. Five on the clock. And here’s Aiden. Oh, and the jam by Aton. You’re looking at Aiden using all of his height and reach. slamming it down on a helpless defense. Clark, over the last few seasons, LeBron’s three-point shooting has been more efficient than ever. Yeah. How about this, BA? Since 24, he’s right around 40% from deep on five attempts per game. So, that’s really impressive. And you know, a guy like him, his greatness, part of his greatness is how he continues to reinvent his game, making modest modifications to what he does. Out to James. Double team on James. It’s intercepted. Oh, and a fast break for the Warriors. Here’s Moody. And he was fouled in the active shooting. Opportunity for a three-point play here. You’re not going to get stops against him unless you give an effort. Priority. And goal number one has to be tightening up the defense. They can’t afford to give him open looks. Post is checked in for the Warriors. [Applause] Lakers trail by 13. [Applause] Here’s Donic. He’s got nine. Oh, that’s easy work for LeBron inside. Well, that’s exactly where LeBron wants to go. almost unstoppable once he gets the ball in the painted air outside [Applause] and a strong finish with two hands. Woo! Defensively, you can’t afford to let him get to the rim that easily. Well, that might be why their deficit is what it is right now. You know, you look at it, the communication is lacking, as is the trust. They can ill afford those types of breakdowns. It won’t work. You can’t win with those kind of breakdowns. Stolen by Aton. Connect with the ball now. Pajimky defending outside. Connect. The three is up. That one’s good from James on the assist by Connect. James has got 10 points. And when James is knocking down his threes, watch out. This offense is dangerous. Back to Curry. [Applause] Six on the shot clock. Pulls it from the top of the key. And the shot falls short that time. Lakers trail by 10. Aimura outside. Oh, he gets it to fall and that makes it just a single digit deficit. Nachimura’s got his second basket of the game. Donic against Curry. Pass to Moody and there’s the call. It’s going to be an illegal screen. Well, the league has put an emphasis to crack down on illegal screens. Yeah, you know, he might have gotten away with that a few years ago, but not anymore. No way. Now you’ve got to be stationary on those screens. No extra hips or elbows or they’ll call it. Vincent’s checked in for Los Angeles. The Warriors also with a sub. Jackson Davis has checked in. Here’s Curry. Can’t get it to drop. Vincent with the defensive effort. Donic passes to James. [Music] Double team on James and stolen by Green. Oh, look at Draymond flexing with that finish. And Green loves flexing on the defense. Welcomes the contact and overpowers it. [Music] Donic outside. [Applause] There’s a minute 34 left in the second quarter. sinks that one. Now shooting five of 10 and looking sharp. Bad idea leaving him open. He needs more defensive attention, not less. Outside Curry puts up a deep three. It’s rebounded by Los Angeles. Eightton’s got five rebounds in the game. Pass to Vincent. Nice ball movement by Los Angeles. James can’t get it to go. The Warriors lead by eight. Green with the ball now guarded by Aiden. Outside Pajki and Aiden pulls it down. Aiden’s got six rebounds in the game. [Applause] Pass to James. Donic against Curry. Donic. No good. And so it’s Curry with it. He brings it up for the Golden State Warriors. 13 points was their biggest lead of the game. 6 seconds separating the shot and game clocks from 8 ft. Jackson Davis with a bucket. Jackson Davis has got six here in the corner. He really hooked the defender with that pump fake. It worked to perfection. [Applause] James with the ball from deep. No good. misses at the buzzer. And so it’s the Golden. I thought he was in perfect sync with his teammates. The Warriors lead by 10. Kicking off the second half. Here’s Steve Curry’s five. Down low. It’ll be the tenacious pair of Butler and Draymond. Curry and Pods pairing up in the back court. And it’s Moody in the small forward. Butler has one speed and it’s full throttle on full display. Just James on the wing. Soft touch off the glass. James has got 12 points. A great move. I mean, the defense has no response. Yeah, if that’s a harbinger of things to come, he’s looking at having a very big second half. And here’s Butler outside. Rebound by the Lakers. Payton’s got his seventh rebound here tonight. [Applause] Out to James. That one falls. Great setup by Donic. James has got five points now this quarter. Yet another stellar night for LeBron offensively so far. In some ways, he’s just unstoppable. Green. Oo, excellent D there from Aiden. Lakers trail by seven. [Applause] Donic outside. Pass to Aiden. Kicks it to Donic and another three for the Lakers. They’re making smart adjustments setting guys up for success. It’s certainly been an impressive run. They finally found the right formula to break down the defense. Green with a supine on Aimura. The drive by Butler. And here’s Green from the arc. Green able to hit from three. This is just fun. These teams are trading threes back and forth. Nothing like answering back. One team gets three, you fire three of your own. Boom. Now here is James. Cody defends. Four on the clock. Pass to Donic. Don Mur from long range gets rebounded by Golden State. 13 points was their biggest lead of the game. Here’s Moody. Here’s Curry. [Applause] It’s good. And he drew contact on the shot. So, he will go to the line. A three-point play opportunity. He’s getting his first free throw attempt of the game here. At the line for the Warriors, Stephan Curry. One shot shooting one. [Applause] and the free throw. No good. When you talk about shot mechanics, Curry is as close as you can get to perfect. I mean, you can tell he puts a lot of work into that part of his game and it pays off and just terrible defense. I don’t know how he missed that shot. And that one goody. Booty’s got seven. Look, when you play as a team, good things tend to happen for you. And keeping us updated from the sideline, Ally Leforce. Thank you, Brian. Well, the game is going global. Players association president and sharpshooter CJ McCullum said, “With all the NBA players who weren’t born in the United States, we’re attracting fans from those places, and it’s going to make our game better, and that’s what we want at the end of the day.” Back over to you. Crossing over borders, Ally. Thank you. Nice ball movement by Los Angeles. It’s good. He has seven. He loves to attack from the inside. This is Hachimura’s comfort zone. No doubt. Hachimura against Butler. Right side. Curry. Left side. Pajki. Green with a screen on Reeves. off target with the three. The fader and the Warriors miss again. Lakers trail by nine and he lobbs it up to the rim and it’s slammed in by Axi Murray. The pass, the catch, the slam. What a clean play, man. Absolutely jaw-dropping. Tell you what, you wouldn’t know they’re the team trailing when they’re able to pull off plays like that. Green with a screen on Reeves. The six-footer. That shot is off. Hatton with the defensive effort. Hachimura against Butler. James outside, kicks it to Donic, fires the three. It’s rebounded by Jimmy Butler. Butler’s got five rebounds tonight. To the inside, stolen by Aton. And they’re on the run. Pass to Donic. Launches a three. The shot’s good on the assist by James. James has got six assists in the game. And Curry’s got the ball here for Golden State. They lead by four. And Steve Cerr wants a timeout. Coach probably just checking to make sure everybody’s on the same jacks up a three. Rebounded by Green. Here’s Pajki up top. Curry. Cody passes to Curry and there’s the call on Ruachimura. That’s his first foul. First personal foul. Second team. Here’s Butler. 14 points for him to stop the drought. Here’s Curry. Tell you what, like with most players, when Dantis is aggressive on defense, it makes a difference and causes his coaches to smile. Green with the ball now guarded by Aiden. Right side. Pajki can’t hit it from 12 ft for Los Angeles. They’ve gotten six of 11 attempts to fall so far in the third. Oh, it’s stolen by Butler. And the Warriors pushing it up now. Oh, it’s stolen by Donic. Yet another steal from him and that’s his sixth steal of the night. Imposing his will at the defensive end. You got to love it. I think he’s gone completely dry. Nothing is hitting and you know you can sense his frustration. This is going to be a test of his resolve here. Luca proving he can score from anywhere. It always seems like Donic is playing with something to prove. Well, I’ll tell you what, he’s proving plenty tonight. Curry surveys. [Applause] Here’s Butler. Oh, pops the J after a KY pass fake. Butler’s got 16 points now. Defenses nowadays try to protect the rim and the three-point line, so the mid-range is usually available. Jane outside that shot no good. The Warriors lead by four. Green the pass to Curry. Butler on the wing. Aimura covering. 13 ft out. It’s a shot by Butler. No good. The Lakers have gone seven of 13 in the second half. And the foul called on Draymond Green. That’ll be his second foul of the game. Smarts checked in for Reeds. Heels checked in for the Warriors. Substitution on the court. [Applause] Here’s Aimura. He’s got nine. Smart outside. Pass to James. [Applause] Aton. A screen on heel. Just five on the clock. Here’s James. Physical play by LeBron inside. Fighting through contact. Not easy trying to corral LeBron when he’s focused on scoring. Good luck with that. Back to Butler. [Applause] Green with a screen on Aimura. Here’s Butler. Aimura with a rebound. The Lakers have gotten eight of 14 attempts to go in the second half so far. Gotchic on the wing defended by Pajki. Here’s Aiden. Count the basket and the foul. It’s going to go on Draymond Green. He is so strong. Aiden and one. Los Angeles shooting their first free throw of the contest. Some changes for Los Angeles. Vanderbilts checked in for Aimura. Larabia comes in for LeBron and Reeves subbed in for Donic. One shot. And that one falls. That puts him up one point in the game now. Golden State has got seven of their 16 three-point attempts to go in. Outside heel from deep three-point range. the put back. Oh, he hangs in there and cashes in on the second chance points. Incredible game. This lead has been exchanged eight times. Tremendous show of will and resilience on both sides. Reeves finds Aiden. Reeves up top, guarded by Heel. He against Reeves. Aiden with a screen. Clock is at three. fires from deep and the rebound goes to the Warriors. 13 points was their biggest lead of the game and here’s Curry for three. It’s rebounded by Los Angeles. Vanderbilt’s got six rebounds in the game. Down low. It’s stolen. Outside Curry. [Applause] Jackson Davis in the high post. lets it go from deep and Curry is good for three. And now it’s a four-point Warrior lead. And now we’ll get a perspective here on how the hustle game has been going for the Warriors. I like the fact that they’ve been very aggressive at the defensive end. Tenacious. They’re jumping passing lanes and coming away with a lot of steals. They’ve also been showing a standout play on the fast break, working as a team to create easy opportunities. The Warriors lead by four. Pass to Heel outside. Curry. The deep three. Curry with another miss. And this is exactly who you want taking that shot. You just missed it. Payton passes to Reed. [Applause] Outside Vanderbilt. Now here’s Larabia. Smart finds Aiden. Nice ball movement by Los Angeles. And here’s Vanderbilt from the arc. Rebounded by Heield. Maybe he thinks he has that type of range, but I don’t think his coaches will agree. Yeah, you know what? Sometimes guys have the green light to take that shot, but I don’t think he’s one of them. On the wing, Curry. [Applause] Golden State needs to get off a shot. Here’s Heel. And it’s good. Assisting on the play was Curry. And the Warriors lead by six. And I like whenever Hill attacks inside like this, exploiting the defense when they give him these chances. 6sec difference between the shot clock and game clock. Back to Smart. Pass to Reeves to stop the run. Jackson Davis grabs a miss. Jackson Davis has got his fourth rebound in this one. And so it’s the Golden State Warriors leading by six as we wrap up the quarter. And it’s all due to their ability to own the paint. They’ve been dominant down low. We’re coming right back. Don’t go anywhere. [Applause] And it’s time now to bring you our State Farm assist of the game. And just a selfless decision from your two guard, showing his ability to get his teammates good looks. Yeah, and as a two guard, he’s typically not a reluctant shooter. So, it was really nice to see him orchestrating for a teammate instead. [Applause] Well, what a terrific game it’s been so far. with this fourth quarter sure to bring more pressure packed basketball. We’ve got Jared Vanderbilt, Marcus Smart out there with Austin Reeds. Then there’s Maxi Cleba and it’s Larabia in at the three. That’s who’s in the game for the Lakers. Now Butler out to Kaminga. the three ball. Vanderville pulls it in. Vanderbilt’s got seven rebounds in the game. And here’s Smart. Vanderbilt a screen on heel. [Applause] Smart right side. So it’ll be two free throws. He was fouled in the act of shooting. And Smart is a very physical player. He doesn’t fear getting hit while trying to score. At the line for Los Angeles, Marcus Smart two shot. [Applause] No good on the free throw. [Applause] And he’s good on the second. 60 ticks off the clock here in the fourth. Pass to Jackson Davis. Outside heel. Jackson Davis. A screen to the paint and he throws it down. What a terrific lead pass. Hey, when you’ve got a laser-like heel that can score it, those assist opportunities just go way up. Reeves finds Smart. Reeves with a screen on Heel. 43. The rebound by Post. Post has got his sixth rebound on the night. [Music] Healed against Smart. And it’s healed missing. And the shooter had very little space on that attempt. And guys, that’s exactly the kind of high impact defense they want to see out of him. To the inside and Vanderbilt slams it in. A great decision from Smart. He’s all about doing what’s best for the team. Pass to post from the ark. Good. And Butler gets the assist. Butler’s got his ninth assist of the game now. Absolutely ruthless. He’s not about to start showing mercy. Now, guys, when you’re this hot, it’s elementary. Let it fly. Keep staying at it. [Music] Reeves. The pass to Arabia. Six to shoot now. Reeds fires for three. Dominga pulls it in. That is not the shot you need to be looking for when you’re trying to break out of a slump. Butler on the wing. Clever with a steal in transition. Vanderbilt inside. Kaminga’s on him. And there’s a 3second violation. That’s a costly error. Let’s see how they bounce back. Well, you know what? Their wounds are self-inflicted. I mean, you’ve got to play much smarter than that. And Steve Kerr calls timeout here. He is not messing around. Calling them into the huddle. Some changes now for the Lakers. Connect checked in for Larabia. Donic comes in for Reeves. And Vincent is subbed in for Smart. Stephen Curry, he’s checked in for the Warriors. Let’s check in with our reporter Ally Leforce. During that break, coach Steve Kerr had some advice for the team. He loves what the D has been able to accomplish, saying to his team, “Every turnover is a big success for us. Keep forcing those errors. Don’t let them feel comfortable out there. So, expect them to keep trying to be disruptive.” Thanks for that, Ally. Nails it from beyond the ark. And the Warriors lead by 11. Talk about being shot ready. He’ll catches and fires as fast as pretty much anybody in the league. Donic on the wing. [Applause] Just five to shoot. Pass to Cleba and finish off by Clea. A strong finish to cut into that lead a little. Man, left no doubt with that one, Grant. Well, I tell you what, he loaded up as much power as he could behind that two-hander outside. Curry from deep three-point land. The Lakers with a rebound. Donic has got rebound number eight here already in the game. Wow. Deep shot from Luca. Wow. I don’t know if anything’s out of Donic’s range. And it’s Butler off the drive. Outside Curry outside. Kaminga. Heel for three. Donic pulls down the board. Donic has got rebound number nine now. What an effort here tonight. And he makes no mistake. Slam dunk. Well, scouts were buzzing about Connect’s ability to attack the rim with a ton of ferocity. Now we Wow. Kuminga playing way above the rim. And the lead increases on a crazy offensive sequence. Man, the dunk alone would have been incredible. let alone the fact that it came off a pinpoint pass. Well, I tell you what, they’ve got this team just a step away from being completely sleep. Pass to Curry. Out to Kaminga. There’s the triple rebound by the Lakers. Now here’s connect to the middle. Clea and finished off by Cleba. And once he gets to the rim, it’s fairly automatic. Nothing fancy right there. Just takes his two points, moves on. Hey guys, I know I’m stating the obvious here, but those could be an important two points considering how close this game is. And here’s Kaminga for three. Kuminga with another miss. And here’s Donic. He’ll bring it up for Los Angeles. Four-point game. Clea screen on heel and looks like an illegal pick was set. That gets the ref’s attention. The screener was leaning a bit right there. His feet may not have been planted. Pretty obvious call by the officials. Yeah, I agree. You know, sometimes that can be a tough call for the refs to make, but not that time. It was easy there. James has checked in for Vincent. And Golden State also making a switch. Draymond Green, he’s checked in for Kaminga. Rough start for him for sure. He needs to make a shot just to gain some confidence. Connect on the wing. Guarded by Heel. Pass to Donic. Lets the three fly. Donic delivers from range. This is anyone’s game now and they have the momentum. Well, it starts with defense. They got some stops, scored some buckets after that and now we’ve got ourselves a ball game. Looking to win this cold spell. That’s good from Curry on the assist by Heel. And they’re still in front, but they desperately needed that hoop to sustain the advantage. They might have the lead, but what they don’t have is the momentum right now. So, that was a big basket for them. And they’re pushing it up. Here’s Green. Green gets up and powers it down. Green showing you some real attitude on that throw down. And we’ve got a timeout called by JJ Reick. He wants to make sure everyone is aligned given the situation right now. Where you at? Los Angeles. Eves is subbed in for connect. Moody’s checked in for the Warriors. Pajimky comes in for healed. [Applause] [Applause] On defense, the Warriors 13 points was their biggest lead of the game. James outside. [Music] Hayden finds Donic. Just four to shoot. Shoots over Curry. Rebounded by Green. Green’s got four rebounds in the game. And Butler is there for the flush. Love the force and focus that Butler plays this game with that was reflected in the finish. [Music] Curry against Donuch. A screen on Curry and Donic launches from deep. Here’s Aton. Another shot. It’s rebounded by Golden State. Green’s got five rebounds tonight. Pass to Curry. And here’s Butler. Three-pointer. And Aiden pulls it down. Aiden’s got the glass covered here tonight. That’s 11 boards for him. Nice ball movement by Los Angeles James. That’s good. James has got nine points now in the second half. Can’t ask for a better look with the game in the balance. Outside Moody. [Applause] Back to Curry down low. Butler against Aimura. Clock at six. Back to Curry. There’s the three. Rebounded by LeBron. At this point, I’m not sure if it’s the play calling or the player himself. Aiden with a screen. Dish fires. Oh, the shot misses. Pajimsky with it. Aimura covering. [Applause] Butler outside. Donic against Curry. Outside Butler from downtown rebounded by Aiden. Lakers trail by five. Aimura up top. He’s covered by Curry. Donic outside. Lays it in easily. Get used to seeing this folks. Don is taking the moment head on and delivering outside Moody. Here’s Curry from deep three-point land. Yes, sir. From way outside. He was licking his chop there. Got a good look. Dayton the screen on Curry. Donic. Oh, off target from downtown. The Warriors lead by six. Outside PJsky Butler a screen on Aidenky with it. He’s against Aiden. Moody gets one inside. Always a good possession when you can get that kind of look. Aiden with a screen now. Dodic outside. Nachimura. The three is off. The Warriors shooting 47% since the fourth quarter started. Now Curry from deep three-point range. Oh, the confidence. That was deep. Well, now it’s just a matter of watching the sand fall through the hourglass. This game is wrapped up in a strong showing for the Warriors. You know, their ability to protect the ball helped win it for them. Yeah, it really did. Less turnovers mean you can get more chances to score. All coaches tell you to value every possession. And you have to recognize what a night it was for Jimmy Butler. Well, his defense was tremendous tonight. Really, really high level. He was a pest. Forced the opponents into a lot of turnovers and it looks like they just won’t have enough left here at the end. Yeah, they simply ran out of time and energy. Moody with it. Picked up by James. Butler outside. Here’s Curry. Green in the post. He’s covered by Reeves. Rebounded by Eaton. And so the Warriors take the win. It ends up being a
