The mood in Kansas City is steady and honest. Fans love Kauffman. Fans also know the building is old. The failed vote in 2024 did not end the idea of a new ballpark. It changed the path. The story in 2025 is not another ballot. It is homework. It is site work, finance models, and quiet talks on both sides of the state line. The team keeps saying the goal is to stay in Kansas City. That promise matters. A new park needs years to plan and build. The lease runs through 2031, so there is time, but not time to waste. This year is about trust. Show a cleaner plan, show real numbers, show how the park fits the city and the fans who live with it.

The longer they drag this out the more it’s going to cost. The longer they wait an already stretched thin citizenry will tolerate handouts for billionaires much less.
People of Kansas City on both sides of the border are trying to find extra money to pay rising energy costs, rising food costs, hell rising costs of EVERYTHING, and a job market that is sliding into uncertainty if not flat out recession.
The timing of this basically couldn’t be worse.
Yeah Kauffman is great, until its summer time and half the stadium is empty because its too hot. Or in the beginning of April and its too cold for fans to show up. Its time to move, the location is horrible without complete redoing of the entire surrounding area creating a entertainment district. They make no money in the offseason because of weather. We need a retractable stadium, no compromise on that.
