The Yankees Season Just Ended With One of The Most Broken Performances You’ll Ever See
Well, that’s it. The New York Yankees season is officially over following their game four loss to the Blue Jays. Their fans are, of course, in an uproar, which is pretty typical year to year. But I do think they have a little more reason to be frustrated with this performance than most, as I have to admit, yesterday’s game had to be one of the most brutal overall performances in an elimination game I’ve seen out of them in recent years. Right up there with last year’s game five of the World Series. Things got started fast for Toronto as we saw Vladimir Guerrero Jr. who basically was the Michael Myers of this series for the Yankees. Lace an RBI double with one out in the first inning. To give credit where credit is due, Cam Schlitler, New York’s rookie right-hander, would manage to get out of what turned into a jam afterwards unscathed, seeing Cody Bellinger make an excellent sliding catch to end things. Nothing much would happen for the next few frames until Ryan McMahon managed to take lefty reliever Mason Flu Hardy deep, tying the game at one after what had been a slow start for their offense overall. Schlitler then got back on the mound and managed to work out of a runner on second, nobody out situation in the fourth, seemingly giving his team some momentum, right? Well, you couldn’t tell with the bats as they would again go silent in both this frame and the fifth, having to watch as the Blue Jays took a 2-1 lead when George Springer lifted a sacrifice fly in between their at bats. This put them down a run once again, tightening the proverbial collar of the entire organization. But it’s not like they didn’t have chances to catch up. In fact, they came in spades. Starting with two guys on in the sixth inning, ending on a ground out for Jazz Chisum, a character who would turn into a villain nearly immediately after when in the seventh with a guy on and one out, Andre Simenez grounded a routine double play ball the second. But Jazz booted it, putting runners in the corners with one out, chasing Cam from the game in the process as well. This allowed the Jays to tack on two insurance runs when later on Nathan Lucas singled with two outs. Things were getting grim real fast and it didn’t help that again they would strand two guys on in the bottom of the seventh courtesy of a Trent Gisham popup before allowing yet another run in the eighth. Still, even at this point, with the kind of offense their team had shown all year, a comeback wasn’t impossible. And they gave themselves another great opportunity in the bottom half of that very inning when they loaded the bases with two outs. Just one big hit would get things within at least reasonable territory for the ninth. But any semblance of clutch would again elude them when Austin Wells flew out on the first pitch he saw to medium left field. Another relatively uncompetitive at bat and seemingly just to drive the stake in a little further into Yankee fans hearts. They would manage to muster a small rally at the last second. Drawing within three after Aaron Judge lined a two-out RBI single in the ninth. But with John Carlos Stanton on deck as the tying run, Cody Bellinger would not manage to get on, striking out on a splitter to end it. This game truly did feature everything New York fans hated about their team in 2025. The lack of a big hit when they needed it most, bad fundamentals on defense, and a bullpen that struggled to keep games close after their starter departed. Just truly ugly. With that being said, good job to Toronto. They executed everything they wanted to to perfection besides in that game three and have to be viewed at this point in my opinion as the favorite for the ALCS regardless of whatever happens in the Tigers Mariners game. Apologies again for the audio being funky! Recorded this with a lapel mic in a hotel (I'm in Seattle this weekend) so it's going to be a little off. Also, I'll be at the game Friday (Tigers vs Mariners) in section 327, Row 9, Seat 8 if anyone else is going and wants to say hi real quick. Always love seeing you guys when I'm out and about. Have a nice one!
There's no crying in baseball.
Well choosen thumb nail picture.
Jazz sings the Blues. 🎷🎸😂🍻🥳
Say it for what it is, the Blue Jays just out played the Yankees.
I so glad. Those same NY fans we saw at the Ryder cup deserve what they sow. Hate from the rest of the world.
Yankees need pitching and a bonafied hitting instructor
The Yankees got b-slapped in the regular season and the playoffs. They deserved the suck they got, because they sucked.
The Blue Jays are a better team; period. Get over it, there is always next year.
Admit it, Yankee fans. The better team won.
Yankees CHOKE AGAIN 😂😂
Daaaaaaaa Yankees Lose😂😂😂
where was this team when they were playing the red sox? sure we probably would have dropped 3-0 to the blue jays and done even worse than the yanks, but its like 2 completely different yankees teams vs the sox than vs the jays.
DAAaaAAAAAAaAAAaaaaAAAA JANKEES LOOOSE
The yankees will never become a better team until they get better infielders than Jazz and Volpe. All hype and swag but always underperforming.
At first I thought this was AI because of the audio lol
VG owned the series. Look at his numbers
lol they just got owned, plain and simple
Here after the FIFTEEN INNING Seattle Detroit game 😅 oof
Yankees just fucking and lost fair and square so yanks fans just have to accept that they lost to a better team then them
It's pronounced "Turonno" the second T is silent
yanks fans really need to stop bitching about your team. you have the best hitter in baseball and multiple superstars, your team is phenomenal. It takes skill AND luck to make it to the WS let alone win it, this years just not your year
There not a Phillies fan alive that would agree with your video.
DAAAAAAAAAAA JANKEES LOOOOOOOOSEEEEEEE
Dumping a ton of money into a team doesn't guarantee success. Just ask kamela kackles.
Hopefully the Dodgers are next
Give me a break the Jays had their rough day in the field too. The Jays were a more balanced in hitting, runs batted in, lowest in strike outs in the league 1st in all three areas this season. Enough with the Yankees having to be broken in order for the Jays to win spin. Just like LA claiming to be the first team to win in four the Jays did it first . Like in basketball, as in baseball We The North get no respect. Jays one because they were the better team period !
Why is it always the end of the world when the Yankees lose?
I've seen a lot about how the Yankees lost the series rather than how the Jays won it.
Bias still exists. So I'll just savour the moment all the more.
1:48 You can't tell me that he isn't being dramatic. Basically at a full stop to catch it just to lunge forward? Did he stumble? Did he think it would be cool? It reminds me as a kid when I decided I wanted to dive for a ball hit to me at first. Dove for the next one missed. Then next batter another hit right at me but I didn't move and just dove and threw from my ass to not get the guy out at first. Lol
Yankees need new pitchers..
For that payroll that big to have only 1 ring since 2000 is impressively incompetent
In fairness to Jazz, he never saw the ball because the umpire blocked his view. With that said, even with a clear line of sight, NO one was going to catch that Bazooka Missile that bounced off the ground. The Yankees were a total Fugazi team this year. Beating up on the sisters of the poor teams. Then getting WACKED by any above 500. team they faced. A lot of Goofy Errors, a Crappy Bullpen and a ton of Men left on Base. The last two weeks of the season were all the proof you needed to see how PHONY the Yankees were. It was a Massive RED LIGHT. They were LUCKY to get past Boston. A dropped Judge fly ball and a Boston base runner not scoring from third saved the Yankees season. Only to get HUMILIATED & LICKED by the Jays. And let me not talk about the Judge Lucky Foul Pole fly ball. That only served to extend the Agony of Defeat. The rest of Judge’s hits were meaningless. A Yankee fan who's only concern with Judge was to not make the last out is a CLUELESS fan. You LOST the series and the last game was a Bull Pen Game by the Jays in your house!!! As for the 6-1 comeback win, well even a Blind Squirrel can find a Nut and a Broken Clock can tell correct time twice a day. All the DELUSIONAL Yankee fans could talk about after the game 3 comeback win was game 5 in Toronto. They seemed to forget there was a game 4 to be played. And the Yankees got PLAYED by the Blue Jays all right! The 2025 Yankees were a BROKEN team that got BROKEN again by the Blue Jays. My favorite Judge Highlight moment in this series was the STRIKEOUT with the bases loaded in game one. Oh, and Volpe is a Batting Box GHOST. Time to break out the Golf Bags again.
Dude, this is actually some hilarious COPE, I wonder what team you like? Well, now I know! What an actual ludicrous exaggeration, I think what we all saw here was just the Yanks getting outplayed. Most Brutal Performances? Yeah, okay buddy. More like "Jays embarrass Yankees." Come on.
How do Judge and Cashman keep their jobs after this. Even with Judge and the number 1 offense in baseball, they’re still a laughing stock.
Maybe because the only thing their farm system cares about is exit velocity? More than one Yankee insider has come forward and said that’s their primary focus in the farm system, getting guys to hit the ball harder. Who cares about defense and base running? That’s for nerds.
I love how when it comes to the Yankees it's always "they lost the series" like they somehow did it to themselves and the opposing team is just set dressing or something. The simple truth? The Jays handed them their asses.
Go Jays! 🇨🇦
Scoring 34 runs in 4 games helps too. Go blue jays
The title of this video could’ve also applied to their ignominious ending in last year’s World Series.
the rookie pitcher for the Yankers, Cum Shitter, is that his name, u walk off the field and say fuck Boston when u were playing the Sox, Karma is a bitch isn't it u little weasel !!!
Cry harder Yankee fans. Every other team hates you and relishes in your bitter defeats.
Fire Boone, pray Volpe can fix his yips in the minor leagues, send Rice down with him to be a mediocre fielder
Hey Yankees, you need to spend more money to buy a championship team. You know, like you did dozens of times before.
Sore loser eh! The Jays are better Yankees were just overmatched
Home runs don’t win championships. Pitching, defense, and speed wins. The Yankees proved that this year.
