Rico Dowdle runs through ‘horrible’ Dallas Cowboys defense in win | Pro Football Talk | NFL on NBC

Carolina Panthers took down the Dallas Cowboys yesterday. One of the most thrilling games of the day, 30-27. Enrico Dao backed up his boast, his buckle up comment. He had 183 rushing yards, 56 receiving yards, and a receiving touchdowns. He’s got 225 plus yards from scrimmage in back-to-back games. Only the sixth player in league history to have 225 yards from scrimmage or more in back-to-back games. and they got him for peanuts. 2.75 million on a one-year deal. This is one of the reasons why running backs can’t get paid because you can go find a guy like Rico D who can come in and do this for nothing. Yeah, I I I hear that now. You know, I I think you know they have a special offensive line there, too. They do. So, that helps things out. And that’s what I think people are going to realize about Carolina. I mean, they got an O line that can physically impose their will on football teams. And of course they can do that on the runto stopping Dallas Cowboys. I mean they got Kenny Clark now. They’re stopping the run, guys. Look at this. Woo. Yeah. No, they’re not. They’re not. The Cowboys defense is horrible. I mean, horrible. It’s going to be on the offense all year long to make plays and they’re fun and they’re exciting, but man, it’s a lot on Dak Prescott. Uh because we know this Carolina offense is not great, but I mean, they did whatever they wanted for the most part of the day yesterday. And it was all about the run game. And then of course Bryce Young continues to look more and more comfortable and makes a handful of big plays in the pass game and that’s all they needed in a game like this. That defense for the Dallas Cowboys though is just atrocious good enough, right? But they stop the run. Yeah. Negative. You said that yesterday in the viewing room. Hey, they’re really stopping the run. I know they’re not stopping the run. I mean and then in the last drive of the game, I mean a 15 play 71yard drive that takes six minutes to end the football game for a field goal. I mean, that’s embarrassing. It’s embarrassing. Yeah, the the nothing’s good right now. The Jimmies and the Joe’s on the field, the coaching, the defense is pitiful. And uh yeah, there’s just a lot of pressure on George Pickkins and and Dak Prescott. They had this unprecedented run of games with 375 yards gained and 375 yards allowed. Like, it was going to be five in a row and that’s never happened before. The problem is the offense didn’t get to show up. The defense got to over 400. So, the defense held up its end. Hi, it’s Mike Florio. Thanks for watching PFT on YouTube.

  1. Dallas and Carolina's defenses both suck! Dallas is either close to or literally at last place on defense — points allowed per game — while Carolina has allowed nearly 30 PPG since 2024.

  2. I’m getting tired of everybody down playing Rico’s yards because the teams that he did them against have bad defenses. So if that’s the case name another RB that’s has done that against Dallas or Miami. If it’s so easy to rush for 200 yards against those 2 teams somebody else has to be able to do it right 😂.

  3. All of U clowns with the excuses why these teams are losing to us
    Here is why
    Carolina has…
    #1 O-Line
    #1 Run Game
    #1 D…vs The Run
    DEFENSE…LETS HUNT
    KEEP POUNDING

  4. When he was featured with Dallas last year he was a top tier RB. Since he’s been featured in Carolina he’s a top tier RB. Deserves more credit. Still an NFL defense that knew he was coming. Rico still couldn’t be stopped.
