[Music] [Music] [Music] Hey, [Music] hey, hey. [Music] Hey, [Music] hey, hey. [Music] Hey, hey, hey. [Music] Heat. Heat. N. [Music] [Music] Heat. [Music] Heat. [Music] [Music] [Music] Hey, [Music] hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey. [Music] Hey hey hey [Music] hey hey hey hey hey hey hey hey hey hey hey hey hey hey hey hey hey hey hey hey [Music] [Music] I feel it. [Music] Hey, [Music] hey, hey, hey. [Music] Uh, not pretty. Um, I think we’re all uh we all know that we can uh play a little bit better at both ends of the rink, but uh sometimes it’s, you know, we’re finding our game. We got some new guys in this room, myself included. And um you know, we’re we’re working at getting everyone on on the same page and and getting that uh uh five on five game collecting a little bit more. Then then things will start flowing our way. So, um sometimes you just got to find ways to win these ones. What did you see from Eric Hry between the pipes? Yeah, he was he was huge. I mean, uh, Bucky was huge the first couple games and and Comm’s stepped it up tonight. So, um, like I said, when you kind of have those games that get a little health or skelter and you a lot of penalty kills and chasing guys around in your own zone a little bit, uh, you need your goalender to step up for you. He definitely did that tonight. Was like to see your secondary scoring come through pretty well today. Yeah, and that’s another thing we we need that. I think, uh, you know, we got to hell first line. Those guys find ways every single night and and uh they carry the offense for this team, but um to to win, you know, majority of our games, especially against good teams, uh we need to help those guys out there tonight. So, second power play was going again and uh you know, good to see guys on Nino and Tanner and um you even Stan get on the board tonight, too. What was it like your first point in half years? How how’s that feel? I guess when you put it that way, it’s nice to get the the monkey off your back. Um, you know, felt like I had a few had a few chances to score, too. So, hopefully you find a way to get that that first goal here soon, too. And, um, I think ultimately you just concentrate on making plays, getting around the net, being more confident uh, uh, when the puck comes to you in those, you know, dangerous areas. And, um, you know, it’s a numbers game. You just got to keep creating and and you’ll find ways to to find the back of the net. I know you’re focused on to yourself, but how do you feel physically, mentally, how how good? Good. I mean, uh, still finding my way a little bit. Um, allowing the system and all little details and even the language of, uh, how we call things out during games, uh, like in game. Uh, just allowing that to settle in and and, you know, it takes time for it to become second nature. And, and then you got to go find your game. You got to go out there and and and relax a little bit. Like the first couple games I felt like I was getting tired late in shifts cuz you’re just over skating everything and overworking yourself and just kind of, you know, you’d rather be safe than sorry and and sometimes it’s sometimes less is more. And when you got four four guys that know how to play the game, uh to just feel the game and know where you can kind of slot in and I’m used to just kind of going right down low in my own zone as a centerman. And you know, now I can rely on my wingers a little bit more. So, just little details like that that I think that add up to to more possession, more chances the other way. Jonathan, good to see you. How do you how do you feel about seeing number Schaer, 18 years old, 26 minutes. Any thoughts on just Yeah, I mean, he had the puck a lot tonight, he’s influencing the game. Um, pretty crazy to see, you know, a kid at his age, um, even not having played much last year and to go number one and to step in and look as comfortable as he is now. Obviously, he’s got tremendous skill and and speed as well. Um, but yeah, he he had some serious flashes out there where, you know, you think he got position on him. He’s jumping around you and, um, incredibly patient and poised with the puck. So, um, no doubt he’s a he’s a special player and he showed it tonight. What are you learning about Morgan Baron’s game? I mean, I I I just uh look at a guy like that and he’s a huge a huge asset to this team. There’s nothing he can’t do and he’s an absolute workhorse and he’s he’s shown his skill uh when he gets a chance, too. So, um yeah, guys like that are are huge to to add depth to your lineup and he brings he’s got so much to his game. He brings so much to this team. So, um, you know, he’s one of those guys that, uh, if you’re going out there in a defensive situation or whatever the case may be, you just feel confident that, uh, you know, he’s out there, uh, out there with you. Appreciate it. Thank you. [Music] shine through in a in this game. Yeah, it’s what we need uh you know throughout the year. I think that’s what makes a good team when you get scoring throughout the lineup and um tonight just showed uh showed our depth. What did you see from Eric Carrey between the pipes? I mean, he was unbelievable, right? He’s they came out really strong and he was the one that kind of kept us in it. Um and you know fortunate if we’re able to respond for him. Did you feel like you guys managed after Cole went down? You went down to 11 forwards there. Yeah, I thought we the rotation was pretty good. Um obviously things got to whack a bit but then again that’s hockey too. So um you know I think he’s okay. So and hopefully he’s okay. And uh back Thursday. Well, you’ve had a lot of playoff fouls with Jonathan Taes over the years. What is it like to have him as a teammate and what does he bring to you guys? Yeah, I think actually a lot is snow. Um I think I only had one. um uh before me they they had a couple but no it’s it’s great to have him around right it’s the the leadership he has the things he’s done in this league and um you know there’s nothing that that he hasn’t done right so it goes a long way helps us along you know he’s very vocal in the room um says the right things so it’s uh it’s good to have him what do you like about the way the penalty kills sort of find its groove here in the early going yeah uh knock on wood um you know I thought we’ve done a good job so far I each and every game, you know, with different systems against there’s stuff to clean up, but at the same time, um, we’ve kind of done a good job, uh, countering. Appreciate it. [Music] [Music] [Music] Hey, hey, hey. [Music] Hey, hey, hey. [Music] You know [Music] [Music] hey [Music] you know the [Music] Andrew. And Andrew said he wanted to say hello, too, but he didn’t see any. Andrew Gross. Oh, yeah. He’s gone. E, he left at the 10-minute mark. No. No. I think he’s on the other side. Okay, I’m kidding. But, uh, describe the effort from your net minder today. Oh, outstanding. Um, needed him to be really good for the first about 10 minutes of that game. Um, man, they had some point blank ones where he came up large and uh they kept us in that game and sort of kept the build building a little quieter. Uh, especially when Baron went down and scored. So, uh, yeah, good goalending can bail you out of some situations that he did that. How about the secondary scoring? What’ you see from from that group? Yeah, well, it’s nice to see with, you know, right around our the whole group there, you know, Nino getting on the board, obviously Bear again, Tanner getting involved. That’s where we’re hoping that it isn’t, especially when you get on the road, you know, the shifen line’s going to get a lot of attention and when other guys can step up and chip in and uh be a part of that offense, that’s uh that’s a good sign. What have you made of Jonathan Tay start? I don’t know what you expected from him when he signed, but what have you made of his game? He looks young out there. Yeah, getting better every day. Um that’s we talked about him and I that it wasn’t going to come in in one foul swoop. like he’s every day he’s gotten better and better and he I think he’s recognizing uh um you know that just how to kind of play the game uh with his hockey smarts and he’s just uh getting back up to speed. I thought he was fantastic. I think he was 15 and five in the faceoff circle. Um he does veteran things. Uh he does elite things um whether it’s using his body or his stick or his positioning and you’re seeing him get more and more comfortable with that. getting comfortable with our team and how we play, but also his linemates and different people as well. You also use him on the penalty kill with Keepy going down. What do you think of that element of his game? Yeah. Well, I mean, we had talked about it. I just didn’t want this to be the way it started with all the power play penalty cuz especially that second period. I didn’t want to get into where he’s going 22 minutes, 23 minutes. I we’ve talked about trying to keep those minutes there, but he was so good in the faceoffs. Um just like the other night against LA, Islanders are really good on the faceoffs. Um, so using Sha on the right side, using him on the left side, it it started the PK off great because the puck went 200 feet down the ice. You’re seeing a lot in this game. Thoughts on Matthew Shay for 18 years old playing 26. I I just made the comment of management there. I’m glad he’s in the East. Uh, that kid is dynamic. Boy, can he skate? U, you know, I’ve seen some young guys step into this league. There’s a guy in Colorado that kind of have that same kind of poise and ability to move. He is, uh, he is dynamic. I saw some video, watched him on TV last year, but to see him live, um, man, oh man, he can jump and he can skate and, uh, he has some tools and like I said, I’m glad he’s in the East. Was 18 like shocking that he’s just 18, I guess. You know what? That just seems to be the kids now. Like that’s our league that the young kids come in and at 18, 19, it’s amazing how polished and and how good they are, how talented they are. And um it’s just uh yeah, that’s great for our league to see those type of players involved in it. What’s the latest on Cal? Yeah, he got hit with that slapper obviously was just really really sore. So uh kind of like Flurry kind of we’ll just go dayto-day here trying to see how his movement gets a little bit looser as as he goes forward. All right. Thanks. Thank you.
