In case you missed it, the San Francisco 49ers had a devastating loss on their defense. Fred Warner will be out for the remainder of the season because he has to get surgery on a dislocated ankle. So, I think that the New Orleans Saints should be expecting to get phone calls from the 49ers for players, especially Deario Davis and Pete Warner. I don’t want to lose Demario. I would rather trade away Pete Wernern. But when you consider what AllPro Fred is to the 49ers defense, it’s very similar to what Deario Davis’s impact is in New Orleans. We need more than 5 draft picks in the 2026 draft.
We really need 5 picks in the first three rounds if we want the rebuild to be a faster process.
DD is a great player but he's old. We can't expect him to contribute more than another 2 years tops. So it really just depends on what the offer is. We are going to have to replace him pretty soon no matter what, so as good of a player as he is, as a team that is definitely in a rebuilding phase I think we should consider offers.

Only worth it in my eyes if it’s for more than one draft pick/or a first round or a draft pick and a young replacement even if it’s practice squad. Dropping people isn’t the way to rebuild ur better off keeping and working it out. If your gonna drop people tally up mistakes and start dropping the leaders or the list
I luv Davis outside of Vilma prob the 2nd best off ball LB we have ever had… But i think our biggest prob has been loyalty to vets over younger players still in their prime. Long list of defensive players shining elsewhere from Hendrickson, Baun, Ellis, CJG…heck even tht Muhammad kid…DA screwed us with his so called prototype DE even tho we kept striking out with bust after bust. Those decisions set the franchise back quite a bit so i think Kellen will need at least 3 seasons to build a true contender from the ground up…we will get a top 5 pick and im not thrilled abt any college player so far shld trade down and stockpile picks…
