Aaron Rodgers on the Steelers second half adjustments, introduction to AFC North football

Aaron 93 at half. What opened up things to get this win? Well, I mean, I think if you watch the film, you just got to be patient against a really good defense like this. Uh, they held up when we got into kind of the fringe red zone, but uh, yeah, we’re just watching it now. Connor had a really nice catch and we got DK going enough um to kind of stretch the field a little bit. Uh, really proud of Darnell. I thought he played amazing, but it started with up front. You know, we had no sacks today. Uh, obviously a lot of the game plan was to slow down Miles because he’s a generational player, but I felt like the line, you know, controlled line scrimmage and that’s why we came out with a win. What’ you think of your first taste of AFC Northball? I’ve been in the North for a long time, so I know what kind of football gets played in both the AFC North and AFC North and this felt like it. A little overcast, windy, fields kind of tore up a little bit. Uh, but there’s great rivalries in this North just like any other one and uh, happy to be a part of it. Last one for I know you got a big one on Thursday, but where we are in the season, the control that you could take in this division means what? Well, I mean, every everyone is important, and the first way to get into playoffs is winning your division. So, all these division games are really important. We got five of them left, and we got to take care of business. Appreciate you. Thank you.

  2. Steelers are proving they made the right decision over the Jets. Some people were calling it a QB swap on social media before the season started. I was reading many posts by the Jets fans today after their game and many were complaining about Fields ending with -9 passing yards. Some Jets fans were admitting that last year was more of the organizations fault than Rodgers fault. Both Wilson and Fields are having bad years. Dabol on Thursday couldn't stand seeing Wilson in there for the couple of plays and was going to the tent to check on Dart. So glad that The steelers went with Rodgers over Wilson or Fields. Some jet's fans were even given Tomlin credit for what he did last year with Wilson and Fields as his QB's.

  4. Darnell Washington should be TE1. It's a no-brainer. He blocks, catches, and gets YAC. He can be the next Eric Green and even better 👍🏾

  23. the biggest difference between this year and the previous 4 yrs since Ben retired is obviously the QB play. AR isnt the AR of old but he is still better than anyone else they have had since Ben retired. He is making high level QB decisions that allow the defense and special teams to be what they have been and for that to be good enuf to win bcuz he isn't making plays that get them beat. He will make a couple great throws a game for a score or a first down but he will also make a couple great throws that are throw-aways and allow them not to be hurting themselves with poor QB decisions. Dunno if it will end up with playoff win or not, we'll see and their schedule is going to get tougher soon. But for now, he is doing what he was brought here to do.
