Blake Snell has been DOMINANT in the 2025 Postseason (0.86 ERA, 28 strikeouts in 21 innings!) 🔥

Blake Snell. You see the numbers for Snell a 235 ERA limited because of shoulder inflammation. He felt it in Japan and they ended up getting him back in August. Since his debut in 2016, he has been one of the best strikeout pitchers in all of baseball. And he gets Fredo right there. A punch out to begin. And there’s one away. Well, you talk about how does he get these strikeouts? Well, a lot of it is chasing out of the zone. His stuff is so good. Look how far this bounces in front of the plate. He still gets the swing. De La Cruz, who played all 162, one of five guys. Of course, Raphael Devers played 163 this year. Amazing. Two and two now. Breaking ball in there and he’s frozen. And Snell with the strikeout. and he’s gotten the first six that he has faced. Six up, six down on 16 pitches for Blake Snell. One- nothing Dodgers. Stevenson back in. The catcher waits. And a swing and a miss. Seven in a row retired by Blake Snell to begin this one. And as a hitter, like what do you look for? He’s got this exceptional change up. He’s got this great bending curveball that is so sharp and hard down and away. One, two, swing and a miss. Struck him out in a change up and Snell able to record the punch out. His fourth of the night. The Reds leave a couple as a group. Their pitching staff in September was phenomenal. Swing and a miss. They had a strikeout as And Duhar is down. Strikeout number five. You talk about the fast ball. He sets it up up and away and then he can go with the curve ball down and expand that north south and then he goes in on Dear Cruz. Keep him honest and he’s looking again and he’s frozen on the inside. Down and in. Boom. Fast away. And now the chase down and inside. 3-2 swing and a miss. Struck him out and that’s a half dozen strikeouts. Yeah, this is what is so hard to deal with Blake Snow. He can go in and then he turns this fade away. It looks like the fast ball. I think it’s the fast ball. It might be the fast ball and then it’s not and it goes away. Fading away. So, it looks like these hitters are swinging at pitches 3 in outside, but it didn’t start there. One thing he is susceptible to is is the breaking ball. Swing and a miss. De La Cruz down on strikes. He went change up. That’s seven punch outs now for Blake Snell. You know, I think of it as like a rocking chair. You’re looking in and then he fades it away and you’re kind of leaning. You’re opening up a hair too soon and 79 miles an hour, which is almost 20 mph off his fast ball. And a swing and a miss. Another strike out for Snell. And the lefty now has eight. Climbs back in. Fans want the strikeout. He’s got eight of them. Snell took a peek at a scouting report card and now back to work. What a night for Blake Snell. Nine strikeouts, six shut out innings. 6 nothing LA. And there is Blake Snell. He’s already in the fray here in the postseason. He pitched a gym against the Cincinnati Reds in the wildard game. Two and two to Trey Turner. And that’s a call. Strike three. Snell burns off that inside corner. Looks like the zone’s going to be a little expanded here today with Adrien Johnson behind the plate. Good sign for both pitchers. Now, just with that kind of arm angle, you heard Lawrence talk to Schwarber about it kind of coming over the top and it just keeps running in on these right-handed hitters. Quickly 0 and two on Castiano. He got him, struck him out, and wiped him out on three pitches. Wow. And that’s that change up off the bat. We’re going to take a look right here against the Cincinnati Reds in that wild card game. 21 outs. Look where all this is. The fast balls, the red up and into righties, away to lefties. Change ups going away from those righties in the green. And then you look at that uh blue, everything down. And there’s your green. What we talked about, BA, the change up just floating away and hitters can’t get to it. One and two the count and a swing and a foul tip right into the middle vent. It’s a strikeout. So Blake Snell off to a good start. His third strike out. A three up, three down second. Two and two the count. And Snell with the strikeout down and in slider and Kemp is gone. Strikeout number four for Blake Snell. Well, coming off that fast ball right, same type place and it just never gets there. Keeps going down and in on these hitters and three straight change ups to Trey Turner. See what he does here. The one, two, and Turner a swing and a miss. Went back to the change up. Tripled up on him and strikeout number five. Actually quadrupled up on him. Frenchie, all four pitches and look at the end of the day. Great job by Blake Snell to sit here. If you see he’s going to chase it and each time it got a little bit lower, a little bit lower and you can see Trey Turner just way out in front and a swing at a miss and Snell strikes him out. I’m a hitter. I’m asking what’s on that card and what do they know about me that I don’t know about me? Snell puts a fast ball right by him. Balm stands there, watches it go by. Blake Snell’s seven strikeouts through the first four innings. Otto Kemp gets his chance and a swing at a miss. That change up is filthy. Twice he has struck out. Kemp best arm of the outfield is in center field with Pahes. Turner. Great speed at second base. And Harper a swing at him as he struck him out. Snell goes back to the slider. What a big K that was. Blake Snell nine strikeouts. Just relentless with it. Threw one curve ball to mix him up, get his eye level off, and then went right back to that slider. And Blake Snell has, this is his 13th postseason start. Six and three erra under three. But the battle here is that he’s a swing and miss guy. Wants you to chase. And the Brewers are the most patient team in baseball. Right there. You go chasing like that now because of that pitch you just saw. 0 for 15 hitters this postseason on the curveball slider against Snell. Just has such great spin on it. He’s at the top of his game. Two-2 to Contrarus and a swing and a miss. That was a curve. Smith blocks it, applies the tag to secure it. And we are off and running in game one of the championship series of the National League. Oh, he go. Did he go? Oh, he did. It’s a swing and Collins is out. First base umpire James Hoy with the ring up. And there is strikeout number three for Blake Snell and Cheurio is rung up. Snell comes back cool and calm in the middle of the chaos and picks up a K to start the fourth inning. Well, just enough for Seamers. He’s been using it inside. That one was down or looked down anyway. I’m sure Churio felt that way. Full counts for Snell and the payoff pitch. Yell a swing at a miss and Snell wipes him out. Backto back Ks to start this fourth inning. Snell with a big fast ball at 97. Perfectly placed and the Brewers just getting out of a mess on the defensive side of the ball. He comes back into fourth and puts him down in order with two Ks. And now he picks up his sixth strikeout to start this fifth inning. Yeah, it was almost like a just let me know when it’s time for me to go out and throw another shot out inning. Yeah, Freeman’s first home run of this postseason. And a called strike three on the inside corner. Snell spotting that change up perfectly. Locked up Durban. In a can add another one to our graphic. Another one on the corner. Well, and you think about it, right? You get up in your Derban, you’re the seventh hole hitter. This guy’s got 97. He goes curve ball, strike one, change up, swinging, strike two, change up a little bit off the plate to try to get you going, and then change up in. He’s come back strong. You go and he has been as dominant as ever. That is a swing. Collins unable to check it. And Blake Snell with eight strikeouts has retired 10 in a row. Snell’s faced the minimum through six innings. Only the one hit allowed. And that change up is riding again. Cheerio is out. Strike out number nine for Blake Snell. Freelick in a 3-2 count. Here comes Snell and he rings him up. Blake Snell drops a big curve. Caught him guessing. Eight shut out innings, 10 strikeouts tonight. A new careerhigh in the postseason for Snellzilla.

Blake Snell has made three starts so far this Postseason, completing at least six innings in all three outings while striking out 28 batters and allowing only two earned runs.
