And we are coming to you live on the LI Sports Network. Getting ready for three straight games here on the North Rank. Six games total. Monday night hockey in the Suffach County High School Hockey League. The King Park Comarmac Knights and the East Icelip Chiefs set to square off here in the developmental division. KPC 2 and2 EI0 and three looking for their first dub on the season. Travis Quigley here taking you through the call of this game. Sam Musnik, our producer tonight. Wally Mitchell on the camera. And of course, the man himself, Gabe Douri up here in the nest operating the social media channels for us doing a fine job as always. We got Kevin Broadick, Rowan Ladic over on the south side. They’ll take you through the three games over there tonight. A freshman matchup and two JV. But we’re underway here in this developmental division contest. Two varsity games to follow. KPC going left to right, first and third wearing the dark uniforms. EI wearing their home whites will be going right to left. And we’re going to have an early penalty called here on East Icelip just 19 seconds into this game. KPC going to go on the power play and we’ll see what’s called here. Hayes going to the box. The officials are going to come together, have a quick conversation. Lee back up back on the bench. Good to see that. Hope we see Hayden Lee again soon. It’s going to be a power play opportunity now for KPC. And a quick penalty called right off the faceoff on KPC. And now it’s going to be four on four hockey. So they got two of 10 for boarding and we’ll get the official word on the call on the Knights. So a lot of space and it’s going to be a breakaway chance. Shot rings off the post. That try was blocked. EI going to clear and it was a slashing call on Zachary. Ivers over the line for East Icelift. His try gets blocked. Spinning pass back out to the high slot. Nice little chip play. Ivers keeping it to himself. And now Connor Ivers takes it to the net. He scores. Plenty of space for Connor Ivers and he gets his third of the season. One- nothing lead for East Icelip. Just a minute and 20 seconds gone. It’s put back deep by EI. And now KPC will look to break things out. Moved up the boards and carry now Martella. Martella to the middle over the line. Remson just knocked away. Martella is there. Wins it back for the Knights and it’s stick checked out to the red line. Cusack doing a nice job blocking that pass down. 50/50 puck and now it’s picked up by Penny. Penny was trying to go outside in and was knocked off the puck by Zarnki. centering feed blocked and now racing out of the zone for the Knights. Shankle cutting in, shoots, he scores. We are tied at one. Back and forth we go right as we get back to five on five hockey. 1-1 the score. What an end to- end rush here. Faked right, went left and a good shot on the blocker side. 1-1 the score. Will EI respond or will KPC keep the momentum? Shot pad save. Declan Grieve in the net for EI. Nice kick stop there. It’s Jack Antico in the cage for the Knights. And now a chance poke check there. Nice stick check by Schmealacer. and shoulder save. Goes over the net and good speed out of the zone. It’s Walsh. Avery Walsh chips the puck low. Iliano backhand pass to the slot and it’s intercepted. Owen Neert over the line has numbers. Needer takes it to the backhand. Save made. Puck still free in behind the net. Needer once again just overs skated iter to Iliano. He’s kept in the zone tucking the shoulder protecting the puck is Rocco to the goal line. Forsena Roco on the forch check. Puck comes back around to Forsena. Schmealacer got a piece of it. It’s kept in by Neer. Good job up at the blue line. Avery Walsh collects. Looks to clear off the bench. Ivers able to get the puck out of the zone. Knocks that one down. Iari racing after it. goes through the middle now into the near side corner. Spins out over the line, dishes police. Nice job, but could not get a shot to the goal. Chipped out now. Ivers racing after it. Puts it past Whis and Nether on the back check. Swipes it away. Ivers on a stick check. Wins possession again. First try is blocked. Second try didn’t go there for Aguso. It was blocked once more. for Penny holds the line down to Ivers. He’s trying to walk off the wall. Just knifed away. One more keep in there from Penny. Ao puts it into the corner. Elise couldn’t get the puck out there. Sepa rims it back in deep. It’s kept in the corner by the Chiefs. And out front wheeling up the ice now. Police off the outside of the net. Sent all the way down and off the pads of Antico into the corner. Neer will be there to pick it up first. Cusack gets on the forche and then Ivers but Neert keeps wheeling looking to go end to end. Neert cuts over the line tied up by Walsh but right there to scoop it. Pad save rebound off the skates of Schmealacer and goes behind the net to Ivers. Ivers off the boards and now racing after it is going to get it on the self chip. Ivers to the net. Just shot it wide. It’s kept in the zone by EI. Elise rims it around to the far side. Pops out of the zone. Flanigan puts it back in deep. And we got a penalty coming up on EI here. Power play opportunity. for the Knights. Scored on the power play their second goal of the game right out of the zone. Nico Walton short-handed enters, stops up and backhands it low. Great job by the Chiefs. Cleared once again by the KPC Knights. moved across to Goldberg and a big hit thrown and now Ivers racing in. Just lost possession. Could have had a break. Puck just skipped off the twig. Now Nether defending tight on Ivers. Knocks the puck out of the zone. Long stretch pass. Took a deflection. So icing was waved. kept at the line now to Ivers. He’ll shoot stick save. Now driving at the net and coming out to cover it is going to be Grieve. Two minutes left here in the opening period. Back to the point. It’s kept in that goes wide. Big collision at the top of the circle and another big collision off in the corner as EI step up their physicality a little bit. It’s cleared all the way out. Pinballs around the neutral zone a little bit. Needer will race back and collect. Throws one off the boards inside the zone now. Back out to neutral ice. Ei will settle. Ivers on a high backhand. Batted down. And now Rocco enters the zone. Beats one. Walsh on the back check trying to take it away. Rocco still trying to find it. It goes back door. They score. For Cena right there to collect and it’s 4-1 for KPC a minute into period two. Great job by Roco continuing to battle and for Cena. Quick hands backhand to forehand. dished across the ice. Malacer kicks it ahead with the left foot like Lionel Messi. Chiefs trying to get on the for check here. Walton spins off the boards, but the shot gets blocked. Schmealacer holds the line trying to move it to Penny and it’s broken up and Pelk racing ahead trying to get a breakaway. Pelk is caught by Walton and the puck turned up ice by James Penny. Penny wide, shoots, sticks, save, rebound. Back with Penny again, cycles it low. Back at the point shot, pad save, rebound. Another stop. The puck is still loose. Schmealacer keeps it in. Goldberg takes a big hit against the boards and we got a penalty coming up here. Delayed penalty on EI as soon as they touch the biscuit. There they do. And a power play coming right here. Walton going to be going to the box. KPC, they’ve had some success on the power play tonight as that one’s backhanded right into the glove of Gre from the point. Kept at the blue by Walsh. Now it’s forced out. continuing to drive their feet. Sari now racing into the zone for KPC for Cena but knifed away. Walton tries to clear. Almost created some trouble there for Griev, but was ready for the challenge. Nice pass from Walsh ahead. It’s Ivers. Ivers cutting across the middle. Collects off the boards. Ivers looks to skate it. It’s Connor Ivers. Little head fake. Keeps outside. Shoots. Save. Rebound. They score. Nico Walton on the power play. It’s five-2. Great rush by Ivers. Good little head fake to get to the outside and a shot that generated a rebound. Walton crashing hard. saw the way Matthew Schaefer scored his first goal. And Walton said, “If I crash the net hard and get a good poke, I’m going to score my first goal.” And that’s exactly what Nico just did. He gets his first at the developmental level. Neater dishes it ahead and Martella trying to throw it over to Forsena. It was blocked and Ivers curls back in. Ivers with a chance. Blocker save is made. Ships it ahead to Walton and Walton pushes it into the zone. Stopped up by Nether. Ei as Penny plugged the wall. Penny head fake taking it to the net. Save is made. Puck is still loose.
