Golden State Warriors Visit San Quentin
rehabilitation. It takes a community. It takes a community of people that invest in you that you’ll be going back to. Today’s our annual event with the Warriors here at San Quinton’s. A beautiful day. Nothing but good vibes and most important just a peaceful event. Um and that’s what this is, right? This is kind of bringing staff and the population together. Everyone here, all of these men here, everyone standing around here is part of a movement, one movement, one strong movement to come back to their communities and help rebuild what they brought. And it drives Tyler Tyler for three. It’s good. He’s on fire. Rebound kicks out to Remy. Really for three. I got a lot of family members that been through hard situations as they been through a similar situation to this. So, I look at them differently. You know, everybody’s done something. They talk about last time I was here like it was yesterday. And um it’s just cool to give him something to look forward to and keep going. Let’s go. Let’s go. Pick up. Pick up. Oh, Tyler for three. Counting. Oh, kick and roll. Nice move. Sadique for three. Jumps out and it’s good. He’s on fire. He said he was going to bowl. Remember? He said he’s going to bowl. Remember that? He said he was going to bowl. But okay. Okay. That Okay. Get him out of the way. Why you leaving her out there? Why would you leave at the club, dude? He can’t He can’t get it yet. He can’t get it. Yeah, but he’s about to look. He can All right. Let’s Let’s bring her back. I’ll bring her back. Well, you know you you know you know about crossing. I heard about it. What does it mean? So, so cross council was like I was I was trying to play chess and uh it was not very good, but I’m trying to learn. So, next year when I come back, hopefully I’ll be a bit better and yeah, just trying to meet new people and and learn about different people’s stories. Talking about how they remember when like Draymond came here his first year and seeing them now and how it gives them someone to to kind of talk to and um connect with. So, it’s definitely a great experience. How about after 26 years of incarceration, after having an 83 year to life sentence? Let me say that again. 83 years to life. Here I am out in society. Kirk talked about the family that we have and about how it’s encouraging to come in here and see people, but it’s a different feeling when you go out and you see people when you come home. I feel that people on the outside kind of give up on us too easily. They try to throw us away, but uh having this, it helps us rehabilitate. You know, it just shows us that people still care about us and they still have faith in us that we can come back out into society and be productive members. People come from all walks of life. Everybody’s story is different and we can all come together on a basketball court. And that’s what I love about this. And I love coming in and seeing some of you guys every single year. But you know what I love even more is seeing some of you on the outside afterwards and seeing the change that you’ve gone through.
Continuing a long-lasting tradition, the Dubs visited San Quentin Rehabilitation Center for a day thatβs always bigger than the game π

Visiting family and friends?
Beautiful ππ
Iβm not thinking the big three participated
Did they get to meet the midget clairvoyant?
Or was the small medium at large already?
There are more prisoners than guards there, right?
I wouldn't say "Strength in Numbers" too loudly in there. π π
Huge respect to Moses Moody and Alex Tooney, giving their time to visit San Quentin Rehabilitation to play basketball and chess with the inmates and all the people involved in helping heal the community. #warriors #dubnation
Can we find a center from there
