Unless they definetely want to tag him next year, they should get as much as possible for him. Not like we would need him in this years playoffs.
i think that is going to come down to what happens on Thursday.
If we lose and our season is officially into garbage time territory, then it may be worth considering.
He would easily get us a 2nd rounder or if they can find a team who thinks they can make a run, a 1st rounder would be an instant yes.
And then we would draft two projects in the 1st who have potential instead of production fml

If we lose Thursday, it would be organizational malpractice to not at least engage in the conversations of a trade. That said, we all know this organization includes organizational malpractice in its DNA.
Unless a) they look clearly better than Pittsburgh on Thursday, and b) best medical information is that Joe can return for a playoff push, then yes.
It makes zero sense to keep an elite pash rusher on the final year of a deal, and who you would rather not resign long term.

Personally, I feel that whatever we’ll get pennies for what he’s worth comparatively. Even if this season is a wash, being able to tag him next year is huge. Shemar looks like he could develop well, but replacing a top tier edge defender is not an easy task.

You’re about to lose him to free agency, why wouldn’t you try and get something for him. I mean you might get a high 2, or even a 1 for him.
I wouldn’t trade anybody after Thursday, win or lose. I would wait until we give Flacco a full week of practice. If they lose the game next Sunday, against whoever that is, that’s when I would consider trades.
I don’t think this defence is going to be great, but I do think it can get a little bit better. I think we have to see if they are capable of outscoring teams with Flacco, and if they can do that, that means they can still compete. If not, then, yes, I would definitely consider trading Hendrickson. And see who else of value we could trade. Not Tee, or the two Chase’s. And I would hold onto DJ Turner, Dax Hill as our corner tandem.
If they’re **not** firing Taylor rebuilding then fuck everything about this, tag him and have *one* piece for the defense next year…
If they **are** firing Taylor then get every pick you can out of his roster and set up the next guy to build his team faster.
But seriously, if they trade Hendrickson and keep Taylor around I may permanently lose my fandom.

Trade for who? Unless they get someone younger that can get 20 sacks a year, it’s pointless. They aren’t going to do a full rebuild right now, and they don’t draft well, so this doesn’t make any sense. He is one of the few good players on defense
