Is The Titans Head Coach Job A Hard Sell? 🤔
How attractive do you think this job is? Because you got Cam Ward, that’s great. You are moving into a new stadium and okay, I guess whatever, but bad ownership. The rest of the roster really is not good. Jeffrey Simmons is awesome. There’s a couple good players, but not a lot of star potential here. The Titans haven’t been good in a while. I don’t know if a young offensive coordinator, quarterback’s coach, whoever you’re going to hire is going to say yes. That’s an absolute no doubt. I think in any coach, it’s always the three pillars, right? Owner, general manager, quarterback. So, if you believe in Cam Ward, that’s great. If you believe in Mike Borggoni, that’s great. But I have a problem with ownership here. And I think that’s the first one. Of those three pillars, there is not a loadbearing pillar more important than who the owner is. That is why I think it is going to be perceived by some as not a stable job. Which is why I think you’ll probably hear Arthur Smith’s name a lot, right? Because Arthur Smith’s been through the organization, you know, knows ownership. He’s been fondly thought of since departing as their offensive coordinator to take over the Atlanta Falcons years ago. And now obviously he’s in Pittsburgh and having success with Aaron Rogers.
Is this the NFL’s least desirable job?
The Tennessee Titans head coaching job sounds appealing with Cam Ward, a new stadium, and young talent. However, bad ownership and a shaky roster make it one of the toughest sells in the NFL.

It seems like they blew that team up. They were pretty good for awhile.
