I know the Cozens haters won't like this, but they bring up the trade again and how Sabres gave up Cozens(signed longer-term @$7.1) a 2nd rounder and not qualifying Bernard-Docker for injury-prone Norris instead of waiting until summer for more if they really wanted a change. They go on to say how they don't want to bash on KA, but make fun of the trade and Sabres doctors for saying Norris should be okay, tying in the doctor treatment of Eichel. So dumping on Sabres after game 3 is definitely on everywhere….

This isn’t really about how good Cozens is or isn’t.
If Dylan Cozens was a “top 6 all day long 2nd line center at worst” we wouldn’t have traded him
Cozens isn’t a “2nd line center at worst”.
Maybe his game turns around, but he was more like “one of the worst centers”.
It doesn’t matter, but I still don’t understand why they traded for JBD, he looked good, and then they didn’t bring him back or tender is QO? And we gave up an additional pick for the privilege. AND we gave up another high second for Timmins to play the EXACT same role. I guess you can just throw it in the pile with the Skinner buyout timing and saying into a microphone that players don’t want to play here because of the taxes and weather. Other teams are laser focused on winning and our guy is talking about fucking palm trees. Honestly don’t know where to start besides burning the whole thing down and starting over from scratch. Man these guys suck.
Incoming Sabres fans saying the same things about Cozens that they said about Eichel, O’Reilly and countless other players this team got rid of.
Maybe put a good team around these players and they will perform. Maybe give them a coach that another organization would have even considered hiring and they would perform.
Maybe it says a lot more about this organization that the only people who can perform consistently here are guys who are stars in the league.

This is pretending that Cozens didn’t look deflated as a Sabre for two seasons. He did not have the help on this team to take him to the next level. He looked great coming into the league with the Kid line but teams figured out how to play against that. He needed to be traded before his value tanked further. GmKA trading him for a guy who can’t stay healthy doesn’t change what fans saw. I’m always happy to see guys reach the potential fans predicted when they go to other teams because it shows it was never the player but the organization failing them. Except Casey. Bring him home, was an animal in the goatheads

Media needs to stop being soft on the incompetent management decisions. Pegula and the Sabres organization deserves to be embarrassed to the fullest extent.
The smugness of Adams to think he’s better and knows better than everybody with absolutely nothing to show for it besides a mentally fragile sports organization, needs to be humbled.
And you know what? Peterka’s trade is even worse. I wouldn’t be surprise if Peterka is a constant PPG player. Yes, they acquired Kesselring and Doan who are both going to be respectable players but you don’t trade guys that have superstar potential and under 24 like that. Horrible management
Besides the one year Jack Quinn was healthy and making Cozens look good and the kid line was working really well, what has Cozens really done? I get the Sabres are a tire fire but Spittin Chiclets and Kypreos are just using the Sabres 15 year as a laughing stock as viewership boosters.
