six different goal scorers in this one, including yourself. Just how nice is it to get contributions up and down the lineup? Yeah, it’s huge. Um, guys are really stepping up. Obviously, losing some guys early is is tough, but I mean, we’re so so deep in here, so close in here. So, um, you know, really proud of the guys just kind of bearing down and stepping up. The power play has been cooking. What’s been the most impressive aspect? Um, I think the same thing. We’re just I think so deep and so close. Like I think first unit’s going to do their thing. They’re just such good players. Uh they gel so well. And then I think even you know our second unit were pretty tight-knit and you know know where guys are going to be and stuff like that. So uh it’s nice to have that. What did you see on your goal? Obviously moving that thing pretty intight. Uh yeah it was something we looked at uh before the game. um you know he kind of goes down and drops. So you know once Lundy gave it to me I kind of just put my head down and just buried it. So um something we looked at early on and um nice to kind of execute it. 3 and0 on the year now here obviously looking good in all aspects of the game. What are you most proud of and how this team’s performed early on? Um, I think we’re not like being really simple and, you know, not worrying about the other team too much, just worrying about, you know, playing our game and doing what we do. And, um, you know, that’s what really makes us really good. So, um, it’s nice to kind of pick that up early and, you know, we just got to keep it going. Like Katie asked against like Katie asked about the depth. It’s not just Rhino. It’s not just Benny. Like, everybody’s doing everything right now. Yeah. How nice. How important is that going to be going forward? Cuz that’s kind of going to be how it’s going to go. Yeah, it’s huge. Um, you know, like I said, losing losing some guys, some some big boys, it’s it’s tough, but um you know, we got so much confidence in every single one of these guys and um you know, learned so much from last year. We basically got the same team. So, it’s it’s nice to have that obviously, but um so much we learned from last year. I think we’re just we just kind of know what to do, you know, and like I said earlier, not not over complicate things, just keep it simple and do what we do. Carolina is one of several that’s new faces on, you know, haven’t skated together much, but how has it been so far skating with Bohe and you guys have been doing some Yeah, it’s been great. Um, I think we’re doing the right things and pretty close off the ice, so I think that helps a lot. Um, you know, obviously Boi and I, you know, fast on the wings and I think mixed that with, you know, Rody’s, you know, hockey IQ and such a high level, it’s makes for an easy game out there. Well, the multitude of players on the score sheet in this one, what was the most impressive part of your team’s balanced attack? I think just a 200 foot game we played. You know, they’re a very high offense team. um very uh good off the rush and so we wanted to do what we could, you know, come in really with a playoff mindset cuz they’re a playoff hockey team and um and try to be physical and and direct and we did a great job with that. 3 and 0 now, strong on special teams, strong at five on five. What are you most proud of from the start so far? I think the depth scoring, you know, I think uh everyone has stepped up a little bit here to start the season and understands there’s a little more pressure um on each individual game uh to be better with the guys we have missing out of the lineup. Um you know, key guys especially. So um just a game byame mentality that that guys are willing to do what they can to to grow their indiv individual games and that makes us a whole lot better. He’s bring Martian off that breakaway. What you most about just his ability to keep finding these breakaways? Yeah, he’s got a knack for the for the puck, a knack for plays off the rush, and um he’s a great finisher. So, um I saw him going and I just try to put him into an area and he’s going to win those races nine out of 10 times. And for you, just your vision on that play the game before. I think we took a puck to the base on one of the power plays and able to keep possession alive to get a goal. Just just your mentality, your ability to see some of those plays and figure out things to help set up those goals. It’s just you you’re out there playing shift by shift. You know, some plays you make and some plays you don’t. Um there’s always a risk reward to to things that go on in your head, but um you know, when I see a guy open, I try to make the play when I can. Jonesy, three games, three power play goal, power play goals in all three games, and you had three of them tonight. Is what’s working on both units being able to get um not over complicating it? Um obviously new units this year. So um we did a lot of work in preseason to try to get those um you know, everyone in the right spots and everyone understand what what uh the plays are. So just being direct, you know, Ekki just simple shot, you know, really both of them actually simple shots uh from the top with screens and um so just direct. It really ties into our 5.5 game. Um nothing nothing uh crazy about it. How you carry what you guys done so far as you guys get ready for five game road trip? Yeah, we’re excited to get on the road. Um kind of get to hang out with the guys a little bit more. Um so uh that should be a lot of fun. Long long trip actually five or six games, five games. So uh we’re we’re excited. Well, sir, three games, three wins. How do you feel it’s gone so far for you and the boys through the first three? Yeah, it’s a good start. Had a good start. Uh the games uh good games. We played good games. Our structure uh yeah, it was good wins, good points. So, we’re just excited to to get on the road. What can you say of the resiliency of this team? So many players stepping up and contributing. Yeah, it’s uh you know uh the structure is here. uh the the the guys that stepped up, they they they uh they play hard, they know the structure, so it’s uh yeah, it’s it’s a good wins. Obviously, the structure has been built over several seasons. When you’re missing a couple big guys, how much easier is it to fall back on that structure structure as strong as it’s been for you guys? Yeah, that’s uh that’s that’s again, we rely on that a lot. So, it’s uh it’s there for us all the time. We don’t have to think or don’t have to be over creative, you know, just rely on structure and play our simple hard game. Penalty kill has been perfect so far this year. No power play goals against it. Has it been from your perspective for anybody? You see a lot of the shots getting clearing away a lot of the rebound opportunities. Yeah, the guys work on the same page. You know, we got the the good sticks, good good blocks, you know, good box outs and all those little things. It’s there and uh yeah, it’s it’s fun to be there. Not taking a lot of penalties helps too, right? Yeah, that’s that’s also Yeah, that’s also stay disciplined. That helps a lot, for sure. Bob, I know you you would play 82 if they let you, but how nice has it been to be out there for all three so far? Yeah, I mean, it’s it’s it’s great to to have a rhythm, you know, it’s great to see the uh the the action, you know, the game action. So, it’s uh yeah, it’s it’s it’s it’s all good. We’re excited to to move on. What’s been learned about the resiliency of this team? so many players contributing, especially with so many key guys out there. Yeah, I mean, it can go either way, right? Obviously, uh we’re a welloiled machine and and we feel good about our game um to start. Um obviously, we have a set of rules that we adhere to on a on a daily basis and try to bring that to our game every day. You mentioned feeling good about your game. What are you most pleased with? Uh just our consistency to do the right things, right? Um, you know, we try to preach about all those um obvious things that we do like dumping the puck in and and the puck and and whatnot. And yeah, just our adherence to doing the right thing over and over again. It’s uh fun to watch. What about defensively limiting shots until the third? I mean, when they things got, you know, a little bit goofy, but you guys six period, something like that. Oh, yeah. Um, yeah. I mean, our gaps are extremely important to us. Uh, consistent pressure on the puck. uh making other teams uncomfortable. That’s kind of just a staple of our game and yeah, very happy with it. Both power play units have kind of different looks this year, a couple new faces. Just how impressed have you been with how both units have been executing so far? Yeah, good good contributions. Um I think our unit would like to to keep, you know, building on on what we’ve been doing and I think the other unit’s been doing a really great job. So just yeah, very happy. 3 and 0 at home to start the season. How you guys have a nice long one to to get get to uh starting Monday and Friday. Couple long ones. Yeah. So, just Yeah. But, um, your thoughts on leaving the comforts of home for for a bit? Uh, it’s going to be fun. Um, our team, I think we love the road. We love being on the plane, being with the boys, bonding time. Um, all that stuff’s really important, especially early early in the season. So, um, yeah, I think we’re comfortable on the road. We’ve proven that over the years. So, I’m excited to see what we can do. I think you have what, a three and four game day span, something like that, back to back. Yeah, I’ll look at the schedule for tomorrow. kind of guy.
