Thought this was interesting as I was digging around PFR. Note that this is also team passing yards, not personal stats, as sack yards are counted against the team, not individual. Obviously it’s not the end all be all, as both these games were losses, but it does speak to some of the fluidity we saw in regard to the offensive output.

Additionally, it was the best 3rd down performance this season with 9/14 converted and Brisset posting an ANY/A of 8.56 against Kyler’s 2.56 on 3rd down for the season. Small sample size and most likely not sustainable, but it does seem to support that a large factor in these sustained drives was the conversion rate. It showed as well, with not only the picture above, but also a season high in offensive snaps at 70 on Sunday. This despite running the ball 24 times which is well within their season average.

  1. Beating teams by multiple touchdowns…

It all seems like a fever dream compared to the garbage we’ve been exposed to the last few years.

  2. The colts secondary was so depleted that they were literally playing WRs in as cornerbacks. I think Jacoby did great last week and I hope he keeps it up if he starts against the Packers but I think people need to contextualize his performance.

  3. In Murray’s defense, they did come out throwing and not forcing an ineffective running game. Idc who throws I just wanna win.

  4. Jameis Winston taught me not to put too much stock into passing yards as an indicator of successful QB play.

  5. By five yards. The Cards had 307 net passing yards against the Dolphins last season. They also had 489 yds of offense against the Rams in week 2 of last season.
