Jaguars looking to make Travis Hunter more of a focal point on offense after rookie’s slow start

  1. Dude is six games in and playing both ways… he is ELECTRIC with the ball but this shi takes time. Not worried at all about his timeline.

  2. It’s why I’m more mad about that no call DPI. Yeah it wasn’t much but that should’ve been Hunter’s first TD.

  3. Understandable but not a huge fan of the philosophy shift if true. To be blunt, he’s been a solid contributor on defense but frequently looks lost or unsure of his assignment on offense. I get wanting an immediate ROI from the picks ceded in the trade with CLE, but I can’t get behind taking an already volatile offense and giving more reps to someone who might not have a clue what the playcall is. He should definitely be getting at minimum 2 go routes per game though.

The slow and steady we’re on right now is the correct one, especially if they want him to contribute meaningfully on both sides, a baptism by fire isn’t warranted yet.

  4. Im hopeful that the offense starts clicking after the week 8 bye. Trevor isnt comfortable in the pocket. He’s been pressured but even in clean pockets, he’s erratic and inconsistent. He dont look confident. Trevor often drifts into pressure instead of a subtle step up and deliver on target throws.

  5. No matter how this go the doomers will still say we’re using him wrong. Even if Coen puts him on 1 side they’ll say we wasted future on him. Travis is doing phenomenal so far. Literally saving our ass in 3/4 wins. I heard Chiefs fans before the game say “he doesn’t even have a touchdown”, but he does a lot more for the team than that. We’re winning cause of him. Great addition to the team, and I can’t wait to see his evolution
