Three Titans Post-Brian Callahan: ‘It Was Time For a Change’

Usually, when coaches are fired midseason, you see a lot of players defending the coach and relaying blame back onto themselves. These guys are like “Yeah it was probably a change that needed to be made.” This is an insanely bad look for Callahan.
I blame Carthon for hiring Callahan.. if y’all can’t see that Carthon was sabotaging this team from the beginning I don’t know… Carthon is on record saying he would’ve drafted Ward with #1.. even though he traded up for Levis…
Yikes. Players being that forthright is telling

So basically they were saying in their minds “good dude, but whew! He sucked!”
He was a good hire on paper but I was always skeptical that he went from an OC who never called plays to a playcalling HC. Then he hired his buddy to do the same thing he did as OC.
He just wasn’t ready to be a HC and probably interviewed well enough to hide that.
There were players laughing and cutting up with fans that were booing Callahan and egging it on. I’m pretty sure just not having Callahan in the locker room is going to account for a W or two based on that alone.
