Rams Trade Talks ESCALATING… New Trade Targets REVEALED | Rams News
Are the Rams trade talks escalating? We are talking about a couple of names they could potentially be targeting as well as the Rams practicing at Orio Park at Camden Gardens. Who is there? Who is not there? All on today’s episode of the Rams Digest. I’m your host Joshua Hon. Remember, if you guys are not subscribed to the channel, do me a favor. Press that subscribe button now as roughly 62% of you guys are watching the videos, but you’re still not pressing that subscribe button. All I’m saying is if you’re already watching, might as well press the subscribe button so you don’t miss any daily Rams content here at the Rams Digest. Quite a bit to get into on today’s episode. And first off, I do want to start us off by talking about the Rams versus the Jaguars injury report. Four did not practices for LA. Two others that were limited. This comes to us from Mike Masala of the Rams Wire. And ultimately, it’s going to be an interesting thing to keep an eye on this entire week, right? Are the Rams uh injured? Are they going to be going into London a little bit healthier than we kind of anticipate? Is Puka Nakua going to play? Especially one of the ones we’re going to focus on, Rob Havenstein, uh guys like that, maybe Kobe Kobe Parkinson, all these names that we kind of need to keep an eye on and see whether or not they’re going to play this Sunday in London. And ultimately, it does affect a lot of different things, right? Devonte Adams, what is his target share going to look like? Are we going to have a chance to see him being that true number one receiver for the Rams? Or is it going to be one of those situations where a guy like Jordan Whittington needs to step up, for example, or maybe the tight ends get involved? Your rookie tight end, Terence Ferguson. I mean, so many things that can kind of go for this offense that, you know, could change if Puka Nakua, for example, isn’t out there on the field. So, definitely a lot of things to look into and kind of bank on on whether or not Puka plays. And here are some uh updates so far of who practiced today, who did not practice today on Wednesday at uh Camden Garden. So, in between the two games of the uh Rams just beating the Ravens and then now flying to London to face off against the Jaguars, the Rams are staying on the East Coast and practicing at Camden Gardens, home of the MLB MLB’s Baltimore Orioles instead of traveling back to Englewood, California. On Wednesday, the Rams held their first practice of the week and listed four players as non-participants, including wide receiver Puka Nakua due to his ankle injury. Running back Blake Cororm also due to his ankle injury. Offensive lineman Rob Havenstein still dealing with his ankle injury for a couple weeks now. And then linebacker Josiah Stewart, who actually is only dealing with an illness, not an actual injury. I do believe they also updated us and said that uh Kobe Parkinson is uh kind of getting ready to get back. Maybe a little bit limited today, but ultimately ready to p to play. He probably could have played last week versus Baltimore, but they decided to let him rest one more week. So, he should be ready to go versus the Jaguars in London. So, so far not nothing really surprising, right? You know, Blake Cornum is dealing with his ankle. You know, Puka is dealing with his ankle. you know, offensive lineman Rob Havenstein kind of still concerned that he’s still dealing with this ankle injury himself. Uh it’s been a couple weeks now, but you know, we’re hoping that he can be healthy sooner rather than later so that way the Rams can kind of see that offensive line at full force. And then Josiah Stewart, we’re not really too concerned with the sickness. So, you know, overall, I think the Rams are in a pretty good spot when it comes to injuries. Of course, you don’t want to be missing your number one target, your number one receiver, Puka Nakua, for a long stretch of time, but it doesn’t sound like it’s anything serious for Puka. He’s probably going to miss, I would assume, this game in London. And part of the reason, I would think, is because they are flying to London. You’re going to be on that flight for such a long time. Sometimes the pressure of the plane, things like that. Maybe he doesn’t even fly to London. You know, I’m sure a guy like Pukan would probably want to fly to Europe for a little bit, but maybe he doesn’t even go with a team. I wouldn’t be surprised to see something like that being announced in the next couple days. I’m not saying that’s for sure happening. just something I’m thinking about, you know, in terms of his ankle and trying to make sure he’s as healthy and healed up as possible sooner rather than later. You want to just miss one week without Puka, for example, rather than multiple weeks, right? So, that is kind of the end goal there. So, we’ll wait and see on some updates as the week goes along. Nothing too concerning as of right now. Nothing too surprising either. So, hopefully that stays that way for the remainder of the week. And then moving on from that, we are talking a little bit about some trade targets for the Rams. And that first one being an interesting name here. This is a linebacker from the Tennessee Titans. We’re talking about Cody Barton here. Projected trade value being sitting at a 2026 uh 2024 fourth round pick. So, you’re not really playing paying too much of a hefty price to go out and get a guy like Cody Barton. And the Rams aren’t necessarily saying out loud they’re in the market for a linebacker, but you saw Omar Spates out. You saw Troier in there. Shawn Dolac has been making plays on special teams, but the Rams really aren’t letting him play at linebacker for you on defense. So, I would be interested to see the Rams go after another linebacker. A Cody Barton would be a guy who’s not super expensive, a pretty good player, stuck in Jack uh in Tennessee. Uh older player, he’s turning 29 in November, so maybe Tennessee is a little more ready to move off of him because uh he’s kind of getting to that point where he’s about to hit 30 and maybe, you know, the fall off is is expected to be sooner rather than later. and the Tennessee Titans can’t be patient with a guy like that. Right? Right now they’re looking for younger pieces, right? So, that could be a thing that’s possible, right? So, though the Tennessee Titans may have found their quarterback of the future in number one overall pick Cam Ward, they’ve remained one of the worst teams in the NFL. Things have been bad enough that Tennessee fired head coach Brian Callahan on Monday. General manager Mike Borgonzi, who arrived this past off season, may not be eager to move players he just added if he’s looking to the future. though trading inside linebacker Cody Barton would be sensible. Just thinking about the future, of course, they did just extend Cody Barton. So, that could be the issue there. Barton, who uh now has 49 starts on his resume, signed a three-year deal in free agency. However, he’ll turn 29 in November, and he may be more valuable to the Titans in the long term as a trade uh uh trade chip. So, maybe not now, maybe not right now. at this point in time they’re going to be actively looking to trade him, but a name the Rams could be kind of looking out for maybe possibly, right? So, just a little small interesting name and just in general, right? Maybe not Cody Barton specifically, but look at linebackers in general around the league. see if you can get your hands on another talented linebacker for you. Because if a guy like um you know Omar Spates deals with another injury, for example, or Nate Landman deals with an ankle twist and he’s out for a couple weeks in important games for you. That’s where I’m more concerned. Do you trust Shawn Dolak to go out there and really hold his own out there? Clearly the Rams coaching staff does not trust him yet. At least they do trust Troy Reer, but then the entire fan base does not trust a guy like Troy Reer. Maybe the coaching staff does, but the fan base doesn’t. And I think we have some reasons to not trust them as much. So, I would prefer them going a different route, maybe bringing in a different name at linebacker. I wanted them to do it in the offseason. They haven’t done it yet. So, I don’t know if they’re going to do that, but that’s an interesting name to kind of keep an eye on. And then one of the bigger names I would say for the Rams to potentially keep an eye on would be uh cornerback of the Seattle Seahawks. This is Tariq Woolen or Reek Woolen. uh the quarterback that we’ve kind of uh known uh pretty well, got to know pretty well over the last couple of seasons, right? Just kind of playing against him. Really good quarterback uh for Seattle. And obviously trading within a division is another thing that could deter a team like Seattle from actually doing this deal. But pro projected projected trade value being a 2026 third round pick is a little bit pricey for sure. Not something I think the Rams maybe want to do. Maybe you could sneak for a fourth round pick, but the Seattle Seahawks are 4-2. They seem more likely to be buyers and sellers at the trade deadline. However, there’s been plenty of trade speculation surrounding the fourthyear quarterback Rick Woolen. On Friday, ESPN’s Adam Shere listed several NFL players, including Reek Woolen, who are trade candidates that executives and coaches believe could be available in the next few weeks. The 2022 fifth round pick has been rumored to be a trade candidate since September. Woolen’s playing time has diminished and in a contract year teams believe he could be available. Raport also posted that on X. So let’s all the way back last month. So Ian Rapaort, one of the biggest, you know, NFL reporters, inside reporters out there. ESPN’s insider, Adam Sheper, the two huge names in the reporting business saying there is some smoke around this fire. And so that is one of those things that maybe the Rams pick up the phone and say, “Hey, look, quarterbacks have been holding up okay, you know, having not too bad of games necessarily. You only allowed, you know, three points versus Baltimore, which is probably what you should have done anyways. But the run game is more of a concern right now. The run defense more of a concern for the Rams. But if you want to improve at corner potentially, right? Who knows? Maybe you don’t think Rick Rewin is as good of a player as some of the guys you have in this room. But I think some people could argue that he he could be better and maybe a change of scenery will help him kind of explode to what he kind of was a couple years ago and just kind of having some some, you know, had some some not really high expectations as a former fifth round pick, but ultimately did play pretty well uh throughout the last couple years. So maybe someone you’re interested in kind of just sneaking taking an eye a chance at here uh for a fourth round pick, for example. So we’ll have to wait and see. Woollen is an impending free agent and missed week six with a concussion. However, he’s also a starter who should interest just about any team with a need for help in the secondary, which the Rams could be one of those teams, right? So, overall, excuse me, one of those things that I think the Rams could take a shot at. We’ll wait and see that that that’s going to be the case. Not really too crazy on the trade rumors right now for the Rams. They are not necessarily out there saying they’re buyers right now, the trade market, but we’re at that time of year where that’s going to happen and the trade rumors are going to be kind of spreading around. So, the Rams should kind of start picking up the phone, calling some teams if they are interested at all in any uh improvements at their any position on their roster right now currently. So, we’ll wait and see. Let me know some names you guys are interested in the Rams potentially trading for. We can do some research, see if it’s possible for the Rams to go ahead and reach out to some of those uh teams. We’ll wait and see on that. So, moving on from that, last but not least, my favorite part of the episode, trivia of the day, where I ask a trivia question. You give your trivia guesses down below in the comments section. Whether you’re right or whether you’re wrong, we give you a shout out on the next episode that I’m on here at the Rams Digest. Last episode’s trivia of the day, we asked this question here. We said, who holds the record for the most total yards passing plus rushing in a single season? This is trivia of the day number 134. And uh the multiple choice options for this question that we asked everyone last episode were was it A uh Pton Manning? Was it B Tom Brady? Was it C Drew Brees or was it D Patrick Mahomes? Again, A Pton Manning, B Tom Brady, C Drew Brees, or D Patrick Mahomes? Multiple choice options for you all last episode. The people who did go ahead and play along with last episode’s trivia of the day are here. Um, we had Manuel saying, “What up, Josh? out of all of those quarterbacks, the only one that I know is kind of uh kind of known for running with the ball or I should say scrambling is Patrick Mahomes. And then he also said, “How about the Dodgers in that crazy game one in the NLCS?” Yeah, how about the Dodgers in the game two as well. Not as crazy, but definitely a good game for the Dodgers to go up 2. Sorry all you non-Dger fans out there. Floyd says, “Both Drew Brees and Patrick Mahomes are mobile. First two choices, not so much. I’ll go with Mahomes.” Thomas says Patrick Mahomes and then Alex says Mahomes I guess with a thinking emoji. So few people did play along with the trivia of the day. Appreciate all of you guys for playing along each and every single one of you guys because I really take time to make a trivia of the day question every single episode. So the fact that you guys answer always makes my heart feel a little bit warm. The correct answer for the trivia of the day of which player holds the record right something around that line for most passing plus rushing yards in a single season. The correct answer is D. Patrick Mahomes. 5,68 was the total yardage. 5,250 passing yards, 358 rushing yards. And yes, you guys were correct, right? Out of all the guys, he’s probably the most mobile that would add the rushing yards to make him kind of over the hump for these other guys. Like for example, Tom Brady, 81 rushing yards for his most passing yard season, which was 5,397. So really good in that passing uh aspect but not as good in the running aspect. Pton Manning negative 31 rushing yards a year that he um had his best passing uh season. And then Drew Brees his best passing season. He only had 86 rushing yards. So yeah, the mobility definitely key there. So everybody gets a special shout out on this episode. Shout out to Manuel Floyd Thomas and Alex. All of you guys got it correct. So appreciate all of you guys for playing along. If you guys saw this trip of the day and you’re like that was easy. Of course it was. Momes. I want a shout out just like those folks just got. Play along with today’s trivia of the day, which is this question here. Trivia of the day for today. It’s 135 by the way, not 134. The last one was 134. Sorry for the typo. Who was the last defensive player to win Super Bowl MVP? Trivia of the day number 135. Who was the last uh defensive player to win the Super Bowl MVP award? Was it A, Aaron Donald? Was it B, Dexter Jackson? Was it C Malcolm Smith? Or was it D Von Miller? Who was the last defensive player to win Super Bowl MVP? Again, A, Aaron Donald, B Dexter Jackson, C Malcolm Smith, or D, Von Miller. Give your guesses down below in the comment section. Whether right, whether wrong, we give a shout out on the next episode that I’m on here at the Rams Digest. Other than that, that’s going to do it for me on today’s episode of the Rams Digest. I hope you all enjoyed the video. Make sure you guys are subscribed to the channel if you’re not subscribed already. That’s going to do it for me. I’m your host, Joshua Hedon, and I’m out.

Von miller no question
Woolen would be a great addition, but I don't see Seattle making that trade with a division rival. They should inquire about Gardner in NYJ and see if they'd be interested in making a deal.
Aaron Donald
Malcolm Smith
Troy Reeder sucks. He has a PFF in the 50ties .Shouldn't be starting for the Rams .
If you think the Rams are trading for a linebacker, you’re not watching the games. “They don’t trust dolac” couldn’t be further from the truth
Don’t jinx our D players bro lol
Camden Gardens 😂

Bro what are you on about my head hurts dolac just had one of the best performances next to landman 🫤🫤😐
I don’t even recognize two of those names and I know it wasn’t Aaron Donald so I’m gonna say Von Miller

Rams need a new play caller, Mcvay is awful, and get rid of Davante and get your money back
Bro you lost me with that dumbass trade request you came up with we aren’t looking for no more line backers.. we need a corner or some more secondary help
If you’re suggesting that the Rams might give up future draft capital for an interior linebacker, then you don’t know the Rams. Why am I watching? I’m out.
I hate these channels. No real scenarios, just something to get clicks really. Real rams fan shouldn’t click. I didn’t make it to the actual video. Ads
The Seahawks will not trade with the Rams.
Do you watch the Rams? Solace came in and didn’t go out. Your insane. Rams have there LB and they know it.
Solace came in and didn’t go out. He had the 2nd most solo tackles on the team in less than half the time. You need to learn about football
