5 Blockbuster Trade Targets for the Minnesota Vikings ๐๐ฅ๐ถ๏ธ
What’s going on? Jerome’s NFL trade deadline is coming up in the 3-2 Minnesota fight and Vikings need to be buyers at the deadline, especially once they go to 4-2, 5-2, 6-2. Who would have knew, right? Uh, and Quy, he’s never been shy about making moves at the deadline. You look at Hawinson, you look at the Cam Robinson trade, you look at 75 different Cam Makers trades, it’s good to go, right? Uh and the NFL trade deadline is nove Tuesday, November 4th this year. So it’ll be right after the Vikings triumph in Detroit. Uh with the four game NFL trade deadline this year is Tuesday, November 4th, uh right after the Vikings triumph in Detroit. So three straight wins against the Eagles, Chargers, and Lions. Uh the Vikings will be indeed six and two and just making a move. Love to see it. actually four straight wins cuz you can’t the Browns should have been five but uh and the Viking situation right now. So they do have a bulk of their own draft picks in 2026. First, second, third, which kind of nice. You got that uh that comp uh as you know third and fourth look at Darnold and Daniel Jones uh five, six, seven, eight. Woo! Good times. So the Vikings do have the draft capital as well as you look at the rooster. The Vikings are kind of set, right? And obviously there’s going to be moves of free agency and obviously you do need depth uh in the draft plus Quy has to start uh bringing in some of these drafts but also if JJ McCarthy and as well as Diamond Dallas Turner hit turn things around we’ll be good to go. Uh but I I feel like we’re in a situation where it is indeed f them picks right the Vikings got 16.9 million nice uh in cap space. Uh yes, 2026 the caps uh the Vikings are underwater in in terms of the cap, but as we’ve illustrated before, couple extensions, couple of a couple of restructures, couple of cuts, and they’ll be good to go, right? So, the V here’s five uh trade targets for the Minnesota Fine Vikings. Number one, well, I mean, sexy Dexy Lawrence, although the Giants seem to be turning things around. Maybe Lawrence doesn’t want out anymore. I don’t know. But pie in the sky, great against the run, great pass rusher as well. Uh toutelage of uh Andre Patterson, our guy, probably not going to happen. But number one, uh Jackson Powers Johnson. So the pride of Oregon came to the league at 20 years old. All right. Uh the Raiders aren’t imploding. Uh he’s 22 years young, a 63 320 second round pick by the Raiders. Now that was the previous regime. and Ziggler coming in as well as Pete Carroll, Chip Kelly. They’re not really bought in on Jackson Powers Johnson. He should be playing center. Been playing mostly right guard this season. 70.3 PFF grade, four pressures, one sack allowed, high football IQ, and he was a second round pick. So I say just offer a second rounder as a no mus no fuss swappy swappy with the Raiders where JPJ can play guard obviously but also you have your center of the future and you know right now Jurgens is healthy. Is he the future? Brand could be the future at center. Ryan Kelly is clearly not right. Two-year deal older veteran could retire as well. Probably should. Uh but you do need to look forward to the future. and Darasaw Jackson, Jackson Powers, Johnson, Fries, and O’Neal. Oo, oo, spicy. That’s a spicy meatball. I like that one a lot. Number two, Quinnon Williams. Now, you can say that Quinnon Williams is up there with sexy Dexi Lawrence, but I feel like this one’s percolating. So, the Jets are 0 and six. And I I I understand the Jets are a bad football team, and trading away one of your premier players is probably a bad idea. But that’s why they’re not trading sauce. I I feel like Williams could be available. He’s only 27. 40 career sacks, 55.5 stuffs in 96 games, uh, which is good. A robust 91.6 PFF run defense grade, which is where the Vikings are lacking right now. 14 pressures and a sack so far this season, offering, I don’t know, the first and the second, the first this year, second in 2027, maybe throwing Jonathan Allen. Don’t know. Don’t know. Lot lots of options there, but definitely would freshen up the defensive line. Although, I feel kind of good about the defensive line, especially if they keep giving more work to LDR. Jaylen Redmond continues a strong level of play. Javon Hargrove has been a problem at times, too. So, yeah. Uh, Jonathan L has been a problem, but in then the other sense. Number three, Tariq Woolen with the Seahawks. Now, the Seahawks have a decision to make. They basically benched Reek and he is going to be eligible for an extension coming up as he said in as he currently is in year four of his four-year deal. But Bullan is only 26. He’s a physical freak. 6’4 205. Long, strong, likes to get likes to get the friction on type quarterback. 2022 fifth round pick out of UTSA. Go Road Runners. Just rare physical size and ability. And it seems like the Seahawks are just sort of done with them, right? And it does seem like Quy has capitalized on market inefficiencies where you have a player that hasn’t worked out somewhere whether for one reason or the other and bring him to Brian Flores and baby maybe baby something could get going. Uh, also I don’t know, a conditional fourth round pick somewhere in there. Even though, yes, the Vikings don’t technically have a fourth right now, but you could make that a fifth with make that up to a conditional fourth once we fully get the Daniel Jones comp pick. Yeah. Uh, next up, number four, Jeffrey Simmons. Now, you could say Jeffrey Simmons is up there with sexy Dexy Lawrence as well as Quinnon Williams, but also I do not care. Like, Jeffrey Simmons is just a bad dude, man. Uh but he’s 28 2019 number uh 19 overall pick. Do not look up who is the number 18 overall pick that season. Uh 64305 and he’s been consistently one of the best pass rushing defensive linemen uh in the NFL. 36 career sacks, four and a half this season. Fighting the good fight on a very bad Titans team. They just fired their head coach. They they could have a they could have a fire sale coming up. uh 14 pre uh 14.1% pressure rate this season which is phenomenal for a defensive interior a 77.4 four career PFF run defense grade is in the midst of a 4-year $94 million deal $17.5 million base. So the Vikings would pick up a prorated amount of that but also he is under contract for two future years of which there is zero goose egg Russell guaranteed money. So, freshing up a new deal, you know, working with the 2026 cap, you know, could make a sense. And I would I I I would put Jeffrey Simmons up there with the Quinn and Williams type deal. First and a third, maybe even first and a second somewhere in there. Uh, lastly, number five. So, not exactly a blockbuster, but I know this is more sentimental, like Hottie Ward. Did you know that he’s with the Titans? Nobody knew, not even him. But definitely want to get our jihad on again. Even though defensive linewise, I I feel like we’re solid, but definitely could use a utility spark. Plus, Hottie can play on the edge as well. 31 pressures last season as well as third on the team with 14 quarterback hits behind Gernard and Van Genlack. But also, you hear players talk about Hottie last year and also Flores. Vibes-wise, immaculate, right? and do need those glue guys uh in that mix as well. And also, you could certainly use some more bodies on the Dline as well as on the edge. And plus someone who can consistently get their own pass rush. Yes, that that would be good to go. But Quy, it’s time, man. It’s time to say, “F them picks and go for the pin.” Hell, go for sexy decks. I don’t care. I don’t care, man. Anyways, that’s it. That’s at five. Well, six, not five. Vikings legitimately need a center. I think Ryan Kelly is probably done at this point. The Harrison Phillips trade was also a mistake.
Down wit the Sir Mix-a-Lot ref…If getting a D-Lineman, we need a run stop specialist. Eagles, Lions…to progress in the division and in the playoffs, this team needs to concentrate on stopping the running game. Center – definitely. Jurgens and a 5th for JPJ, or a 5th and a 4th in 2026/27. Of the 3 D-linemen, Simmons seems like the best balance between bargain and run stopping ability. Just MHO. SKOL!!
That Sir-Mix-Alot reference was great and hilarious๐คฃ The long & strong was gross ๐คฃbut he plays for Seattle and Sir-Mix-Alot is from Seattle. So on both levels that was dope.
Lets bring Jared Allen out of retirement and really beef up that defense
vikings should trade for jackson powers johnson or joe tippmann in my opinion and jeffery simmons would be a big pickup for defense
Iโm for Quinnen Williams. Can you imagine Quinnen, Redmond, Hargrave, Jonathan Allen, and LDR all on a rotation! We immediately become a scary defensive line at that point. Grab his brother Quincey at LB too. Tyriq Woolen would be a steal at CB. JPJ would be a dream but the team might like Brendel
Letยดs Go Vikings! Skol! ๐๐๐
Let's get Fran Tarkenton!๐๐
Riq woolen put Murphy at slot or Rodgers at slot
All for a Raiders trade for center JPJ! Offensive Line would be set for the long term.
Itโs remarkable to look back at the 2019 NFL Draft, Dexter Lawrence was selected 17th overall, Garrett Bradbury went 18th, and Jeffrey Simmons was picked 19th. What a miss by the Vikesโ lol
Tyrion is proof kwesi can draft late
Safetyโฆand oline depth
I say swap JPP and Michael Mayer for T. J. Hockenson
