Dallas Mavericks beat the Los Angeles Lakers with Cooper Flagg, Anthony Davis, Dereck Lively #mavs

Dallas Mavericks get a win against the quote unquote Los Angeles Lakers. No LeBron James, no Austin Reeves, no DeAndre Aiden, and somebody else didn’t play, too. Uh, the Mavs get a win and it was not a pretty one early on. The Mavs were down by 17 at one point to the second, third string Lakers. The Mavs offense just looks like it’s not all the way there yet. They still have some work to do. They still have to try and figure it out. It looks so bad that when Ryan Nemhard, one of the Mavs two-way guys, comes in, everything looks cohesive because he’s a guy that can set guys up. He’s a really good passer. Led college in assist last year. That’s what’s really given them actually some cohesiveness, but saw some pretty good games from Anthony Davis. 18 points, nine boards, two assists in that one. Cooper Flag finished with another another double digit points. But Derrick Lively is the one that I want to point out in this one. 12 points, 11 boards, two blocks. He’s done a little bit of everything that a center should be able to do in this preseason. It’s been really good to see him uh stay next to Anthony Davis, play some with PJ and Cooper Flag as the other guys in the front court. That has been encouraging to see. The Mavericks have a ton of depth in that front court. They just got to figure out that guard rotation because it is not looking good. D’Angel Russell comes off the bench in this one. He was out last game with an injury and so maybe they were just slow rolling it coming into this one. But the Mavs don’t have a lot of options on on offense for guards.

  1. You can’t hide your Ryan Nemhard propaganda from me Nick, you sly dog I think agree with you lol he’s an actual PG and I like his effort on defense.

  2. It's not just the offense. It's the lack of rebounding. You can really see the big gap in their defensive line where missed shots fall on and no one's hustling to get the ball. That and perimeter defense.

  3. "No Lebron James, no Austin Reaves, no Deandre Ayton and SOMEBODY else was not playing, too…" This SOMEBODY is Luka, remeber? Amnesia? 🎶 My name Is Luka, I'm living on the 2nd floor, I'm living upstairs from you, I guess you haven't seen me before… 🎶

  4. Exactly! This blowout win against the Lakers Medical staff doesn’t mean baloney!

This team is utter garbage! Our main starters when life and death with their medical and janitorial staff! 😂😂😂

  5. That’s what I’m saying! Nembhard is a difference maker, because he is a facilitator, a maestro of an orchestra so to speak. And we had the best one in Luka! But Nico wanted “defense” but sacrificed the engine for a bigger bumper! Not the car is stalled! 🤦🏻‍♂️ But I’m a hater/troll for pointing that out!

  6. It’s crazy no one was worried the past couple of games now all of of sudden the sky falling because of a lack luster pre season game 🤣😂 some of you guys more emotional than women sheesh chill.

  7. This team isn’t any good till Kyrie comes back.
Hoping Brandon Williams is the same guy he was in March, when he was the best undrafted,
Unwanted point guard in nba history.
Just hand it over to him and Nembhard and let’s see what we’ve got.
We know what we have in DLo and Exum.
    Disappointing and disabled.

  8. Look at the bright side. If the Mavs perform poorly early in the season, clueless Dumont will finally figure out that this team was poorly constructed by Nico and fire him. I'll celebrate if he's replaced by Masai Ujiri.
