Kevin Durant talks about James Harden leaving Brooklyn: “Ask him about that shit…about why he left Brooklyn like that [laughs], hopefully since he on the Netflix special, he going to be a lil more real than he would be doing a press conference about it”

It’s because of Kyrie being weird isn’t it
> “Hopefully since he’s on the Netflix special he’ll be a lil more real than he’d be in a press conference”
> “Yeah, it was… it was a lot”
KD spilling tea left and right LMAO
Lol
No good strip clubs in the area, you can hear the disappointment in his voice.
constant injuries, head coaching/lack there of/kyrie antics. i think it was a boiling point of everything and him just kind of wanting to go somewhere and win
It is crazy tho cause that nets team was insane. You can just tell from this clip tho Harden didn’t like being there for whatever reason.
When Harden is giving that blank and dazed facial expression…
You know he ain’t going to be real with you…haha!
KD with that sad laugh at the end
Sounds like it was a lot
He’s trying to be nice to Kyrie
Durant is so angry about every single topic lol. “Hey so Kevin what do you think about your new car ? – It’s fkng stupid bro. You seen that shit ? Try to drive it. It’s complete shit bro. – Right. Well. So how are you enjoying the city of Houst-… – Worst city in America, man. Can’t stand it. Everybody’s ugly af. Roads look dumb. I don’t like the signs. Shops look like shit. Fkn sucks.”
Cause he joined with 2 other stars and had to carry the team in the regular season, which is what he had done already on the rockets, cause one of them was too stupid to get the vaccine
He patched it up with Kyrie already so he’s not trying to rehash it lol.
> James Harden on if Kyrie Irving’s vax situation impacted things with the Nets: “Very minimal. Honestly, me and Kyrie are really good friends. Whatever he was going through and still going through, that’s his personal preference.”
>
> “But he did impact the team because me, Kyrie, and KD on the court and winning covers up a lot of that stuff. It was unfortunate that we played 16 games out of whatever it was, but it is what it is.”
what series or special is this?
(PURE SPECULATION): Sounds like it was politics in addition to the Kyrie -COVID saga. Perhaps Harden was annoyed and felt like Kyrie was trying to play King. KD and Kyrie, particularly Kyrie, were putting out a lot of sound bites at that time, about their vision for the team etc. Perhaps the conversations and attitudes annoyed Harden?
Damn KD does it make you upset when you had a really good looking team and then a star just decides to bail?
I would love to forget this era ever happened
From my understanding:
Kyrie didn’t want to take the shot,
Harden had an issue with him being out (“I’d give him the shot myself”) but KD was okay with it,
Both KD and Kyrie felt betrayed (look how hard they played in their first game against Philly, Kyrie was playing lock down defense lol) because people knew the ban wouldn’t last forever,
They’ve never actually talked about what happened, but everyone can tell things are off
these guys in the league love Ki, they never wanna bad mouth him
The Nets superteam feels like a billion years ago, but Durant and Irving were still there in 2023 😮
There’s an alternate reality where the Celtics were able to get Harden instead of Jeff Green and I really think his personality would’ve changed for the better.
KD acting like it was some secret why he left. KD was hurt and rehabbing away from the team and Kyrie was doing his dumb shit refusing to get the shot so he could play, it was Harden out there with Nic Claxton and a bunch of mid. He’d left Houston and carrying the Rockets to carrying another team by himself
The funniest part of KD acting like Harden screwed him over is the fact Harden played with a worse hamstring injury against the Bucks than Curry sat out with against the Twolves, maybe if KD could stay on the court and Kyrie believed in science they would’ve stuck together
“It was a lot.” = “Kyrie was a fucking lunatic.” 😂
“I’ll give kyrie the shot myself”
insert Harden doesn’t play D and goes to strip club jokes but someone added all the lost money he gave up during his time in Brooklyn and Philly, and it was a lot. wish I remembered the number
Who didn’t want to quit their job and shake things up during covid.
Harden asking out of Brooklyn just to play with a more injury prone player in Embiid is kinda funny. I always thougjt Harden should have stuck it out for at least one more postseason run in 2022 i think they could have avoided the play in and made a little run at the end of the season with all three playing. I think KD already knows and just wants Harden to say it
Just say it because of Kyrie
Imagine if we lived in the Vaxxed Irving timeline
Whats the shows Name?
How the fuck is Harden getting more shit for the Nets than Kyrie?
He is playing injured on 1 leg while Kyrie is out chilling cause he doesnt want to take the damn vaccine
I think KD forgot Harden was the only one hard carrying that team during the first year when KD was recovering from injury the whole season and Kyrie decided to be unavailable because he was antivaxxing the COVID vaccine shots.
Edit: I think Harden getting shitted on with his stint in Brooklyn is uncalled for and a bit unfair.
I’d be pissed if I joined a superteam and had to end up doing the same shit i did for the past half decade to carry said team to the playoffs then play on a bad hamstring all because one dumb ass didn’t want to get a vaccine
it was because of kyrie-19
it was…Kyrie. But he’s classy enough not to fuel the flames again.
ISO gang
Forever in our hearts
KD is the poster’s champ. Guy would have been an SA legend if he didn’t happen to be an NBA player.
Not trying to excuse Harden’s behavior at all. I just think we need to be just a little fairer about the conditions that led to him leaving. He was basically the one in the big 3 who kept showing up as KD was injured quite a bit in the second year and Kyrie was refusing to get vaccinated. Harden played basically every game since the first year in Brooklyn with an injury and while he declined a lot, he still powered Brooklyn to a lot of wins and the playoffs. I think he just realised that they were realistically not going to challenge for the title and left. Not saying that’s justified at all. Just thought we should be a little fairer.
KD is so unintentionally funny. He gives off such petty, lip-smacking energy but there’s no maliciousness about it. He really just wants to chill and hoop.
