  1. I envision this one similar to the Billy Joel one. We’ll only hear the positive and he won’t admit to anything negative. It ends up being an unsatisfying to watch.

  2. For me, growing up, my dad made me aware of the steroid stuff. Idk what it was… I loved the villain, while acknowledging the cheating

Those teams were so fun.. had guys any fan of any team would like, but we also had the most wanted man in the game

  3. They’ll never make me hate A-Rod. Sure he took PEDs but the way MLB handled it was atrocious and he was the clear scapegoat for them to pretend they were going to finally be tough on users but they never hit anyone as hard as they did him and let off others like Ortiz, who has been championed as a hero of the game. It’s nice they let him come back and be part of commentary for the post season but he should be in the HOF hands down.

  4. I would be more intrigued if this looked a little bit less like a PR campaign, BUT the fact that it feels like that is the most Arod thing ever.

  5. The only egomaniac that I respect

No, he is not reformed. I still think he’s the exact same guy he was in 2000, he’s just learned how to market himself as respectable and he’s still working on likability. Reminds me of guys like Mark Zuckerberg, like a god damn alien or something. The only reason Jeets still tolerates him publicly is that they are currently coworkers

I still love him to death regardless

  6. I honestly never cared about his ego. I didn’t think he was a bad person, so I only cared how he played.

It’s a travesty that arod, Barry bonds, Roger clemens and Pete rose are not in the hall of fame, but David Ortiz is.

  7. I had an A-Rod fathead on my wall as a kid. We had a house fire and that motherfucker’s outline ended up scorched into the wall despite the fathead having been gone for a few years at that point. I was absolutely distraught when I heard stories about him turning kids down for autographs and then a part of me died when he got popped for gear. He’s a strange guy but also part of the reason I became a Yankee fan.

  8. Love Arod. One of the greatest players of all time, should absolutely be in the hall. I would take ARod for manager over Boone at this point. Now that I think about it I would take him at 3b over McMahon too.

One of my favorite ARod moments was when he hit a HR of off goofy Ryan Dempster at Fenway in one of his first games back from his PED suspension. Dempster threw at ARod his first 2 ABs after talking shit about him in the press. Then next at bat, Arod came up and smoked a ball to dead center. Put him in Monument Park for that moment alone.

  9. I don’t care what anyone says, you can’t make me hate A-Rod. Always have and always will love that mf’er
