That’s fun. And, uh, we’re we’re having a blast here, man. It’s a it’s a good time. Heat season’s about to get going. Panther season is, uh, in the midst of things as I record this right now. I believe they’re off to a, uh, a lead. Uh, let me see. Cats. Yeah, they’re up one- nothing. Need it, dude. Need need the Cats to to give us some kind of feelood, especially the way things are going everywhere else in the sports universe. heat winless. I want to say this, I may sound crazy, right? I talked about this on the broadcast a little bit last night, but it wasn’t streaming anywhere. We were only on the AM dial, so I don’t know how many people heard it. There’s no podcast of it, but I talked about this with my guys uh Salana and Tommy Tag. And I was talking about the windless preeason and is it a concern? And Tommy actually brought up an interesting fact. I don’t know if anybody knows this, but the Heat uh their preseason record last year 4- one. The last thing I remember at the preseason last year, I remember I went to the Wanyama game and I remember Jimmy Butler. It was one of those games that actually, you want to know how much the preseason was uh was false? I had a false sense of where things were, Jimmy was actually in a pretty good place, at least publicly, with the Miami Heat. And the thing that I actually remember about the preseason, now that I think about it, when Tommy brought that up to me, the thing that stood out to me was Jimmy Butler in that game absolutely was going crazy. I forget who Chris Paul was messing with, but he was messing with somebody on the team and Jimmy Butler lost his mind and was like just trolling Chris Paul like crazy. And he played like he really really gave a damn. And I was like, man, this is a good sign if Jimmy Butler’s playing like this in a preseason game, even if it’s against a guy I know he loves to antagonize and go up against and and and really like go at him nuisance for nuisance on the court. I really was in a spot where I was like, “Oh, this is a great sign.” Now, obviously, the record, the Jimmy Butler stuff, none of it mattered. And I’m not here to say that the preseason doesn’t matter, okay? I know the the 07 thing and the whole where with windowless thing, but I actually do think there’s a benefit to it. And here’s my explanation and and and and hear me out on this, but the one thing that I like about it being winless for the Miami Heat is there very clearly are some roster flaws. Okay? And there’s there’s some real truths to this team that have been highlighted because of the record. And I do feel like if they would have snuck out, if they would have won the Spurs game or they would have won the Magic game or the Hawks game in overtime, if they would have won those games, maybe it would have been a little bit like lipstick on a pig. you’re not thinking so much about the rebounding issues, how bad the shooting percentage has been, how bad the three-point shooting has been. And so now it’s kind of just staring you there in the face and you have to deal with all these things and you got about a a little over a week of preparation to get into it. So from my standpoint, nobody wants to be winless. Like it’s a good thing, but I do think that losing is a better teacher than winning. failure is a better teacher than success. And the Miami Heat having to stare that and what is supposed to say, own it. You’re not running from it. You’re owning it. I think that that could be a benefit is that they they they know, all right, this worked. This didn’t work. This could work. The other thing that has been the truth of it, and this doesn’t make anybody feel it, but the injuries have been crazy. like all of your guards were out for a game, you had to start G-Leaguers, you know, then Bam got hurt and Nico got hurt and Yakonis after a great game got hurt. Um, and and you know, you’re not going to play Pal all the games. You’re not going to play Wiggins all the games. There’s a game where Wiggins shot wasn’t there, you know. So, I’ve had very little to get worried about, but I do think, you know what, all right, let’s make a note of it. Let’s take the truth of it. The Heat don’t necessarily have enough shooting on this roster. Let’s take note of it. The Heat need to bust their ass and rebound a little bit better. Let’s take note of it. This is a team that is turning the ball over willy-nilly. Well, that’s not a lot of chemistry. They don’t know each other that well. And so, I feel like I’m going into this thing still optimistic because I’m wild Heat Coyote. I can’t help myself. Meet me Heat and Five. But I also am like facing the truth of it, which is like, all right, they but they have holes and these are the things they really need for it to to get going. I talked on the radio show. I don’t want to double dip because I kind of talked about this a little bit, but we had a we had a big segment on BAM today. Um, so go to the YouTube page, you guys can watch that. I’ll actually link it in the description, so if you guys want to check it out there, but you know, and his importance to fixing all this. yesterday at the red, white, and pink game. Um, you know, you didn’t glam on to much cuz everybody was out. No Wigan, no uh no wear, no Nico, no Bam, no Tyler. Although Tyler did tell the crowd, I’m going to be back sooner rather than later. I don’t know what the hell that means, but it, you know, he was walking around. He’s walking around. Looks like what seems to be painfree. Uh, Bam was back at practice day. Nico was back at practice day. Good things. the Heat. They were estimated to be worth over six billion dollars. Good things. I think that was top eight in the league or six in the you know that you know. So that that was a thing that came out today. Eric Spolstra got the official nod today for Team USA. All the players came in. That was very Gooseys. I enjoyed that very much. I liked it. It was gooseies galore. Dude, I did like him too also talking about Pella and Nico and all the uh all that stuff. He says bring them up there. Let’s chant USA with those guys. So Spo is being a bit of a rascal with that stuff, too. But at the uh the red, white, and pink game, uh the only guys that like are going to play play like Wiggins, DaVon, DaVon’s not DaVon’s a defensive pitbull. He ain’t going to flourish in a in a scrimmage. Wiggins, he has no time for scrimmaging. It’s not his deal. Like he doesn’t want to do windmill dunks, so he throws up a couple threes. But the guys who probably starred the most were Kesha Johnson, Hela Larson, who who who would have been the best player if not for Norman Powell. And I didn’t even know that they kept stats on this stuff. I was on the radio broadcast. We were not I did not have a box score with me, but I saw an Anthony Chang’s article. According to the Miami Herald, Norman Pal finished with 46 points. 46 points. He nearly dropped a 50 piece. He was shooting like crazy, dude. He was pulling up from the fireball. He was He was feeling it yesterday. 10 of 17 yesterday from three ball range. And then he would like throwing some layins there. But uh Pella Larson had 27 points, nine rebounds, and three assists. And he was dunking all over the place, dude. He was having a party. Um so I just thought it was uh I thought that was an interesting thing about what those guys finished with. And uh the Heat did make a roster move today. They let go of Steve Settle. Temple’s own. I don’t know what that means for his uh his uh prospects of being on the Sou Falls Sky. A very lanky guy. Um threw up some threes, but I don’t know. They ended up signed in Bezang. That guy needs a Mike Bam. If I say I’m any close to Bang. If he’s if it’s Bezang, that dude needs a that dude needs a a Mike Breen game. Needs to. But anyway, they signed him. He was the I This is what the Heats say. He was the Ivy League defensive player of the year three times. He played all four seasons at Yale. He averaged 13 points, 5.8 assists, 5.6 rebounds, 1.2 steals, and 32.8 minutes while shooting 42.9% from the field. and 36.8 from three-point range, Ivy League player of the year and selected the all Ivy League first team. First team, man, how about that? He appeared in two summer league games with the Golden State Warriors. He’s wearing number 19. Um, so that was a roster move that Miami made. And yeah, man, I’m going to check out the starting five. The starting five, I’ve seen a lot of Kevin Durant stuff. I saw the clips talking about the uh them not wanting to be on the Warriors. I I saw them like mention in there, oh, Miami and Minnesota. I don’t know if he specifically comments on Miami, so I kind of want to check that out. And it looks good. But I will say this, there’s apparently they do James Harden, too. Lot of talk, a lot of chitchat about, oh, LeBron’s happy we didn’t stay together. First of all, dude, let me just say this. I am so sick of other teams talking about what they would have done to the big three. Like, who went to four straight finals? One, two. There’s one team, one franchise that really can talk about this and that’s the San Antonio Spurs. Like that was the rivalry, the the the Thunder trading away James Harden. James Harden stunk in that finals and he stinks in every big game or big series. At some point in a series, he’s going to stink up the joint. So the idea that this guy is going to be like, “Oh, well, you know, we would have done this.” just like but you didn’t. So, there’s that. And then I saw Paul Pierce is like in my for you page like all over the place with I think he did an interview with Shannon Sharp and I’m just seeing a ton of clips and he’s just he’s just resistant to the truth, which is ironic for a guy with that being his nickname. But this guy’s sitting here and he’s like, “Oh, if if we were the same age as LeBron, LeBron wouldn’t have won all those titles.” It’s like, yeah, but you also had other chances. Like what happened in your series against, you know, that you’ve had your other finals appearance, you guys didn’t do so hot. You had your chances there. The Heat gentleman swept you, then you guys were lucky. Chris Bosch missed more than half the series, comes back, beat you with some threes. LeBron has one of the the the great games of all time and then you get slated at home again and then you guys got traded you and and and your and your buddy Kevin Garnett, your podcast co-host got traded to the Nets and you got gentleman swept again. That’s why they brought you there. And this guy’s sitting here talking about, “Oh, LeBron wasn’t really our rival. The the Heat weren’t our rival. LeBron was our rival.” Because he was upset that Ray Allen ended up leaving. Okay, couple things here, dude. He said he said that I would have rather Ray Allen gone to the Lakers who were a real rival. And it’s like, look, you and the Lakers, you know, you guys, you went tit for tat. Good for you. Um, here’s the thing though, dude. If the Heat weren’t your rival, then why do you got such a bean up on it about them? You’re beefing with Udonis Hasslam all the time. You seem to think that you would have had Dwayne Wade’s career with all the players that he had. your your your whole life is a fortune cookie of what if and you seem to take it very personally that Dwayne Wade was a way better player than you, has better accolades, left the game more beloved, and then you were like, “Well, I’m not really beefing with you, Donis, has said something about Bill Russell.” First of all, he didn’t say something about Bill Russell. Let’s be clear about this. What he told his team was he was telling his team relayed by the way not by Udonis but by bam autobio on UD’s podcast was that he hates the Celtics so much he said everything about the Celtics and then looks up in the Raptors because they put Bill Russell’s number six up there honorably and and he said and Bill Russell too. There was no real animosity about it. The dude was working himself in a lather to get his teammates fired up. Stop acting like you took it so personally. Everybody knows what it means to the game. Everybody knows what Bill Russell meant to the game. Stop acting like UD took some real whiz on the great legacy that is absolutely one of the great winners of all times and legends in this game. But you’re acting like he said like he was a bum. He didn’t say that. He didn’t say anything. Guess what? I bet you Bill Russell would have probably said the Heat, too. If if if the Heat existed back when he played. So I I you know, you can’t make heads or tails of this this Paul Pierce. He’s so He’s so far from reality. It’s crazy. He He just lives his life like it’s a Dr. Seuss book. Like, you know, I do not like The Heat I am. I do not like Green Eggs and Ham. Enough already, dude. We’re sick of hearing about it. And you go on these podcasts. I know you get asked about it, but like you go here and you just say all these things that just make zero sense. You you you took a big whiz on Tyler Herro scoring 37 points in the Eastern Conference Finals. I know it was against your beloved Celtics because the Heat aren’t your rival, but it made you so mad. You’re like, I’m not going to call him Boy Wonder. I’m not going to do that. All right, dude. Good for you. Congratulations, Paul Pierce. You hack.

  1. The pre-season has confirmed Wiggins is a role player & will have a great game once every 5-8 games & Bam has zero elite offensive skills

  2. I'm saying this rn, its too many injuries in the NBA and this team is more complete with Herro. So having a good record this year above 500. Even in the top 4 seeds of the East.

  3. @1:56 i believe that was a preseason game where cp3 threw niko to the ground
there was also a bubble game where cp3 threw the ball at duncan and jimmy elbowed him back.

  4. The preseason is about evaluating players, to see the mistakes being made and trying to see how to get the most out of each player in their defined role…. it's not about winning
