[Music] [Music] Hey, hey, hey. [Music] [Music] Hey, [Music] hey, hey. [Music] Everything. [Music] [Music] Hey, hey, [Music] hey. [Music] feel [Music] hey like I’m feeling [Music] Hey, hey, hey, hey. [Music] Hey, [Music] hey, hey. [Music] Hey, hey, hey. [Music] [Music] [Music] Hey, hey, hey. [Music] Yeah, I thought everyone worked hard. Um, you know, it was a tight checking game. Uh, not a lot of space in the inside and, uh, you know, Bucky made a lot of great saves and, um, obviously a big win. You guys talked about wanting to defend better. Was that a little closer to the blueprint today? Yeah, a little definitely a little closer. Um, you know, I thought we were a little more uh, spot on for the most part. Obviously some still some areas to fix, but um, that was a lot better for sure. milestone point for you. I know you’re chasing someone else, but what was it like to get tied with Blake here? Yeah, obviously, uh, you know, very cool. Um, you know, Wheels was, uh, you know, a guy that taught me so much, so to obviously be tied with him is is a, you know, huge honor. What do you think of the goal itself? Yeah, Casey obviously made an amazing pass. You know, he made an amazing pass on Bears’s goal and um, obviously found a great seam and, you know, had the right pace on it and everything and made it pretty easy for me. I know you’re living day today, but like 8 when you hear the number 812 points, like what goes through your mind? Yeah, it’s obviously very humbling. You know, it’s uh you know, not long ago I was uh you know, just starting in the league. So, um you know, it’s obviously very humbling and you know, just want to keep getting better. Morgan Baron’s a guy who’s probably not going to draw a lot of headlines in this team, but gets the goal like he got tonight, double deflection off two guys at in. What has he brought to you guys just in a bottom six role that maybe, you know, can help you guys moving forward? Oh, he’s been amazing. you know, faceoffs, skates, well, big, strong. Um, you know, he’s obviously, uh, had a knack around the net and, you know, done a lot a lot of great things for this team that, you know, go unnoticed and obviously, you know, when you do the the right things, you know, good things happen. Bigger picture, what do you think of the way we have played in the last three after after the open? Uh, we definitely, um, you know, we’ve played better. Obviously, the the first game we didn’t play our game, but, um, you know, we definitely played better. It’s, uh, you know, it’s encouraging. It’s still early in the season, so we still have a lot of things to fix and you know, a lot of new faces still trying to, you know, figure figure out, you know, it all. So, um, you know, we just got to keep getting better. Would you describe your start personally off to a pretty fantastic start in terms of production? Yeah, obviously, you know, I play with some, you know, pretty amazing players that uh, you know, get me the puck in in some good situations. So, um, you know, I’m lucky to play with the guys I play with. Does the net look a little bit bigger when when you’re going the way you want? It’s five in three games. Uh, no, not really. It’s just, you know, you go to the right areas and uh, you know, good things happen. So, you know, I’ve been uh, you know, just very lucky. How would you describe the importance of that response? You know, 20 some seconds after you guys gave up the first goal. Yeah, that was huge. You know, that was, you know, that’s what you need when you when you give up, uh, when you give up a goal and, you know, they cut our lead in half. So, um, you know, that was a that was a big big uh, momentum uh, swing. So, um, it was a great great shift by those guys and um, obviously, you know, it was a big goal at the time. Appreciate it. Thank you. [Music] [Music] [Music] tightening up defensively. What did you think of the defensive work today as a group? Yeah, pretty solid. Um, you know, I thought we had a lot of good sticks. We knew they were pretty dangerous coming in the rush to make some plays and we were pouring back. Um, had great numbers and, uh, you know, kept them to the outside for the most part. Sign of maturity, too, like the patience you guys played with today. Nice. Yeah, I think so. Um, you know, we like to think that we can play a lot of different ways. Um we obviously like to dictate the game, but if it’s flowing a certain way, um you know, if it’s that transition and we got to we got to hump back and uh support and you know, even when they get rolling there, we don’t panic. We kind of um just relax and lean on each other and support each other. Something breaks down that next man up. And I thought we did a great job. Be fitting that you found Mark for 812th point. You’ve been here for most of those. What’s it like to see him hit that milestone? Yeah. Um awesome. Um, would he tie it? Is that what it was? Yeah, he tied it. Obviously, he’s hopefully break it next game. But, um, it’s, you know, it’s pretty incredible. I think we all know what he means to this franchise and, um, you know, being one of the first picks coming back here and, you know, leading us through, you know, the whole the whole playoffs. Um, every every kind of run we’ve had, you know, he’s been the guy and, um, he’s a leader in this team community and, um, obviously he’s a big part of this team going forward. What overall what do you think of the way you guys have responded to the to the opener? You weren’t thrilled with how you played against Dallas in the three games since winning all three. Yeah. Uh good. You know, um any chance you can win a game, you can’t critique it too much. You know, at the end of the day, it’s all about wins, losses in this league. And um you know, I thought we uh you know, against the Dallas, it’s a pretty lethal team and and dynamic and um yeah, it’s first game of the year, but the biggest thing with us is just continuing to grow and uh improve. And you know, I thought we we definitely did that in certain areas. Um, you know, we had some new pieces here that, uh, still learning it and then even the old guys, you know, it’s a refresher and, you know, how we play and, um, you know, it’s going to take a lot of time to build that identity identity and, um, you know, just just part of any any team. It’s, uh, you got to build that every single year. What do you think of the way the power plays been going, too? The chances are coming. Yeah. Um, for sure. I liked it. Um, you know, I think we’ve we’ve sped up in the recent um games here and that’s when we’re at our best is um you know um you know you’re moving moving towards the puck. We’re moving in unison and you guys are the guys are arriving at the right area. We’re supporting each other the goal tonight. Um you know great middle support by follow um you know just put it into them and it backs them up for a second then they kind of lose shy through the back door. So, it’s it’s it’s moving our feet. Um, you know, being sport and also predictable and not being a, you know, one trick pony, being able to score um with everybody out there. Appreciate you guys. Thank you. Yeah. [Music] [Music] [Music] Hey, [Music] hey, hey. Heat. Heat. N. [Music] Hey, [Music] hey, hey. [Music] Yeah, structure today. Uh, way better. I thought the first period was our best period of the year. Yeah, just uh the puck pressure, the reloads, the communication, not spending a lot of time our end. got a little bit sloppy, a little bit loose in the second, but I still I thought that got back to it again in the third, but that was that was a lot closer to what we need to do. What do you think the response of the fourth line after giving the one goal up? Yeah, I I thought they were good all night. I know that uh it was tough. they jumped out kind of on a line change and them coming with speed and you know I think that those are just guys that are getting to know obviously the Fordo being in there you know Bears being the only guy that’s kind of knows what’s happening here and Cole’s um those guys are picking it up what we’re doing and I like a lot of what they do obviously uh you know a couple big they scored another big goal so um that’s yes of you know your fourth line. What do you think of Parker’s energy out there? Yeah, no he’s good. He’s he’s versatile. you can use him obviously takes those right side face offs as he did five on five and then also on the PK. Um you know just like camp you know he’s a guy that goes out he’s got detail to his game and uh just you know does what he has to do to make sure that he that he has success know that Mark has Dale in his sights but looks like to see him get 812 time yeah that’s a that’s a heck of a accomplishment you know Ship’s been a you know obviously you know 2.0 I know the first player drafted. Um, you know, he’s lived up to it all. He’s, uh, he’s a great player in this league. I think he’s finally really really getting the recognition that he deserves. Um, you know, I think that, um, just the guys that can do that and, you know, score that many points over, you know, consistently over year after year. It’s just, u tip your hat to him. Best you’ve seen him play start. Uh, well, he’s pretty good player last year. I you know what I really but the biggest thing for me in my four years is that he’s bought into how we need to play to have success and then all his offenses come because not not just him but his linemates as well have bought into that way and so the puck’s on their stick a lot more and they get chances to be creative and once it’s on their stick that’s that’s when they go and have fun and do what they do best. What have you like most about the way you guys responded to the opener philosophy? Yeah and you know it was that was a pretty loose game. That was one that was uh you know for all of us it was felt like an exhibition game. We just maybe it was the hype of the you know the the home game and first game of the season but I I think we’ve gotten better and better. I don’t think we’ve put together a full 60 but there’s a lot of good things that I like that I’ve seen lately. Appreciate you guys. Nice. [Music] [Music] Heat. Heat. N. [Music] [Music]
