  1. I think Myers has bigger aspirations than taking Morey’s role tbh, I think this better represents being in higher management

  2. Moreys days are numbered.

Myers isn’t even that great of a GM I feel like. Towards the end of his tenure with GSW he made some terrible decisions. He kind of just got lucky Curry went from good player to MVP, Draymond went from bench warmer to DPOY, and had the opportunity to sign KD.

And here comes all the Morey haters prophesying the end is near!

  4. The problem I have with Meyers is it is hard for me to know how much of the Warriors success was him or Jerry West. West was heavily involved with the warriors to through 2016, which is basically when all the building blocks were put in place. From 2017 on, Meyers results are at best average id say. I do give him a lot of credit for getting Wiggins and turning Wiggins into a real player, but he also had some really bad drafts including the Wiseman debacle.
Idk, he may just be an average basketball mind . It’s tough to say

Rich guys love him tho which is a valuable skill today

As mentioned here it’s pretty clear he’s the next GM or POBO after Morey

  5. That description seems like a middle mananger that’s gona oversee the Devils sixers and commanders GMs and presidents of [sport] operations

    Why

  6. If Daryl Morey wants to get sign off on a trade this off-season it is now Josh Harris and Bob Myers in the room instead of just Josh Harris.

I don’t know what if any kind of relationship Morey has with Myers, but I suspect that this would be a significant problem for him, especially if Myers is in the room lobbying Josh against something Daryl wants to do.

I honestly wouldn’t be that surprised if he quit.

  7. I think we all could’ve predicted something like this when he was brought in to advise on the Commanders. It straight up didn’t make sense to have a basketball GM calling the shots on a football team, especially when Harris also owns a basketball team. He was bound to become more involved in the wider organization at some point.

  8. Our organization continues to believe that it’s 2016. Gotta love the consistency at least

  9. As long as Myers is involved, I am happy. People have been hating on Morey, but he’s been a good GM overall, he’s great with the marginal moves but seems to miss the target badly with stars (he’s being more careful with Vets this year it seems which is a good thing). Having Myers in any capacity is great for the franchise and instills winning DNA at the executive/ ownership level which is the biggest hurdle.
