What is the most popular sport team globally that comes from Los Angeles?

as someone who comes from Europe and lived in Asia a lot of time, i have to say its Lakers, by far, idk about other continents.
Lakers 1, Dodgers 2, doubt anyone else has global recognition

Lakers by far lol. The most popular basketball club in the world and one of the most popular club overall in sports.
Lakers, Dodgers, the Rams spiked a little when they won the Super Bowl but no where near the global reach of the Lakers and Dodgers. I feel both pride and bitter anger that the Angels are on this list though.

From a UK perspective, Lakers by far, and then I think the average sports fan would be able to name more former LA Galaxy players than Rams or Dodgers players, simply because football (soccer) is so popular here and David Beckham played there.
Lakers considering the reach of basketball internationally. But Dodgers are rising of late especially in Asian and South/Central American markets.
TIL Major League Cricket exists
Imo clippers are more famous than dodgers on a global scale. Lakers are first obviously, basketball is simply way more bigger globally and clippers have big names like Harden and Leonard who are pretty popular globally.
Lakers & Dodgers! Anyone else has a following, but none has the huge name recognition among the casual people. I remember meeting a friend in a hangout and telling him I’m a Rams fan, to which he said San Diego, which I had to correct him that he had it wrong with an another team. He was like, “OK!”.
So yeah, people’s knowledge isn’t always great even for those living here!
Edit: LA Galaxy is in the mix too because of soccer’s worldwide popularity and great players from Europe who’ve played there!

Has to be the Lakers, especially with all the history and the championships. Usually when there’s a team that has a lot of championships, you get a lot of people that hop on the bandwagon. You know how people make fun of all the Cowboys fans that have never been to Dallas? The same case could be made for a lot of Lakers fans.
The Dodgers would probably be right behind them right now. They’re successful at the moment, but they’ll need to continue that in order to keep growing the popularity.

It’s the Lakers by a country mile. Basketball just has a much wider reach and appeal than our other home-grown sports. Dodgers would be a distant second, but only in places where baseball has even a slight presence.

Lakers > Dodgers >>>>> Galaxy > Rams > Angels > Clippers >>>> Chargers > USC > UCLA > Kings >>> Everything else
