Even though the Giants play the Broncos once every four (or three) years, there have been some seriously epic games between them. Which of these are your favorite? Or rank them. Or add others that I missed. Show us your age!

1986 Week 12 – Simms connects on two long passes to drive for the game winning FG in a Superbowl preview (around 2 hours 25 or so minutes in)

Superbowl XXI – First time I ever saw my dad cry

1989 Week 14 – Gary Reasons. What gets forgotten in this game is that the Giants had just lost to the Eagles, and were now tied for the division lead, and the Broncos were damn good that year, Superbowl aside.

1998 Week 15 – Broncos were undefeated, Kent Graham to Amani Toomer for the win

2005 Week 7 – Eli's 2nd ever game winning drive

  1. Besides SB 21…. gotta be Tooms for the TD and bye bye to the perfect season…. things not listed… everytime they beat the Eagles!!

  2. It’s gotta be superbowl 21 Simms performance in that game got me into football. Knocking off the undefeated Broncos was great and comes in third for me. Elis game winner is number 2, his game winner to Toomer was the beginning of something special. There also used to be an amazing video on YouTube of that drive set to Al Pacinos speech from any given Sunday that I watched about 2000 times lol

  3. Well, duh, Super Bowl XXI. I remember being at home sewing myself a dress and trying to watch the game at the same time. As you know or remember, the Broncos jumped out to an early lead, and I was so bummed, thinking “we are gonna lose…I can’t look” that I went into the adjacent room to finish the dress. The TV was still on, though, so as the game began to tilt the Giants’ way, I could hear it. (My then-husband, still sore that it wasn’t his beloved Redskins on the tube, was sulking in another room.) Eventually I put down the dress and went to watch. Of course, I was glad I did.

The dress was finished that night, and I wore it to work the next day. Need I add that the dress was blue?! šŸ˜‰

  4. Dec 13, 1998

A few years earlier I had moved from NY to Denver. The broncos had won the SB the previous year. They were undefeated going into the giants game. The giants OTOH were terrible that year. I had signed up for a ski trip that day, but the lift operators were tracking the score and some even had it on the radio.

I got some angry looks when I heard the game end and the giants won and I cheered.

For years after whenever I wore my giants jersey I would get side eyes, until Peyton manning joined the broncos. Once the connection of the manning brothers happened things cooled off.

  5. Easy answer is Superbowl XXI, but I will always remember the George Martin interception return for a TD in Week 12 of 86. LT nearly rips his neck off tackling him in the endzone to celebrate. lol

  6. maybe biased because I was born in 93 but that 2005 game was big. one of the first signs of Eli being a 4th quarter comeback guy.

  7. The 1998 game for sure since I was too young to experience the Super Bowl.

Also I loved how in the broadcast Phil Simms mentioned absolutely hating squib kicks and prevent defenses. I’ve always hated both of those except the most extreme circumstances.

  8. I was at the ’86 week 12 game with my dad and both grandfathers (both of whom have since passed). It wasn’t the best 60 minutes of football i’ve ever seen live, but the George Martin interception return and the late drive to kick the winning field goal make it the best game i ever attended as a kid. Also probably the best seats i’ve ever sat in (first row of the upper deck at giant stadium right at the 50 yd line).

  9. The ’86 season was my sophomore year in college, and my new roommate was kind of annoying and we didn’t have much in common. But he was from New York, and a Giants fan. That Giants season was pretty memorable, and it gave us something to bond over and become friends. I can’t think of Denver without flashing back to that season.

  10. The 1998 game. I was in the stands. The first live in person game I ever attended. It was electric. No one gave the Giants a chance that game going into it.

  11. Obviously SB XXI is tops…I was at that 2005 game, man it got LOUD when Eli hit Toomer with seconds left to win it

  12. Week 7 of 2017!

The Giants were dogshit that season, but a few friends and I flew out to Denver for the game and the Giants got the W.

Jackrabbit had a pick-6 and it was a good JPP game, besides that we were all very high.

  13. ā€œIntercepted…George martin!!ā€ Must have watched that clip from giants among men ten thousand times

  14. Besides the 86 Super Bowl it’s gotta be the 89 game against them at Mile High. In the snow, they battled a really good Denver team. Gary Reasons delivers a mass blow on a goal line stand and Dave Megget takes a punt 89 yards to the house!
