Doesn’t feel much different than any other social media tbh
sorry PP nobody is downloading a whole other app for this.
Best way to do this imo is just what Oshae Brissett did: do a vlog. Just film your day to day and post it on YouTube or social media.
I mean at face value the idea is cool, but the branding sucks.
Off Court pretty much narrows down the players to basketball and tennis lol
Edit: is tennis even played on a court??
What’s unique about it compared to any other social media platform
Am I just an oddball for not caring about athlete’s personal lives? Where you’re from, who you hang with, your family story….don’t care dont care and don’t care.
These guys have such a self inflated sense of worth. You think anybody’s tuning in or gives a shit about what a bench player does day to day?
Nobody wants another app just do the best vlog lol
Isn’t this just onlyfans
You can literally do the same thing on IG or YouTube. I hope his wife didn’t talk him into this dumb idea cause she’s an “influencer”
Yeah. I’m not hating but this could be done without another social media app.
Do we really need more dumb ass apps?
I feel like this is supposed to be some SFW athlete version of OnlyFans. Or a jock Patreon.
As I think about this, I’m sucked into a vision of players auctioning off their free agency decisions. Hmm
Let go of your hate brother. /s
But you missed my point. I never said it wasn’t hard work. I said they care too much about pushing that narrative as they over compensate in attempts to mold other people’s opinions.
Rule number 6 on my bullshit detector list tells me that people that constantly push a narrative about their work ethic care too much about what people think about their work ethic. Why is that? It’s because they are over compensating for an insecurity. In this case, they might be pushing back on the narrative that they just inherited God given talent into a 7 foot frame. They dont get credit for that narrative. Which, in turn, hurts their brand. People want to buy a hard worker, so that’s what they push. Therefore listening to them talk about their personal grind eventually just becomes a sales pitch to download an app.
Another social media app? Pritch bb people are just going to cross post the videos / content onto X or Reddit anyway.
This is really not thought out in any way. I’d be shocked if these vids offer any more financial or PR incentive than say, traditional social media or even TV/broadcast interviews.
Honestly sounds like someone just said “you know what’d be a good idea? Like…more videos.”
so like a social media version of the players tribune?
speaking of which, here’s chris boucher on when he was homeless and road the bus at night in montreal to keep warm
I’m already sick of NBA players oversharing but hey, get paid.
I blame Jeremy renner for this.
Thanks payton, but im good. I’ve already got the Jeremy Renner app for social media
Love Pritch, but Jeremy Renner already dominates this space 😂
FastPP and Nesmith are exactly the kind of islands you wish you’d invested in early. Now with prediction markets like Polymarket… you actually can. If the pair spun this into a business, they’d kill it.

That’s just being an influencer with extra steps.
