Kellen has shown us he wants a guy to run his system, protect the ball and be decisive. Hence, that's why Rattler was chosen over Shough to start due to him doing this best. Systems can win games (i.e. Colts right now with Daniel Jones) and championships (i.e. Eagles with Hurts). It's hard to play hero ball anyway on this team when everyone dropping the ball and fumbling anyway lol. We need more playmakers but we don't need a new QB.

  1. I’d like a bit more exciting system. Or if you are going to run with this idea, you need to out physical the other teams. Our linemen all look soft and weak.

  2. As I’ve said in here a million times, people hold rattler to a standard that they aren’t holding our playmakers to. They want him to throw the ball perfectly every time. That’s ridiculous. The playmakers need to be able to make a play on their own. So far, they haven’t shown they can. Any guy on a roster can make a play when they’re open and the ball is perfect. Playmakers are supposed to be able to make plays on their own.

Rattlers ball placement struggles at times. But even when he does throw it well, players aren’t doing much with it. As he grows and gets even better, I’m hoping the playmaking grows with it.

I also hate how everything in life has been turned to picking a side. I’m not a rattler defender or glazer or whatever the fuck idiots on line call everyone. I’m a saints fan who wants to see the saints succeed. And while rattler is the qb, I’m going to support him and focus on the positives.

  3. The QB conversation, stats, and grading is useless. Kellen Moore is the only person who could grade him accurately as none of us know what he’s being asked to do. If he is still starting after the bye it’s because he’s done what Kellen has asked. If he’s benched it’s because Kellen probably sees more upside in Shough but for all we know he could be over or underperforming Kellen’s expectations. The offense as a whole needs to score more and that’s undeniable

  4. Rattler has exceeded expectations. He was never drafted with the intent of being a starter. The fact he might be a starter in this league is a huge “hit”. The retrospectoscope is 20/20 but I’m still frustrated we used a 2nd on Shough when Tyler Warren was available…..

  5. Nah we want an offense that isn’t 29th in scoring, averages 18.8 points a game, and some Wins.

  6. This is fine if you are comparing these two QBs, but if Moore is waiting for a more talented guy, they will be in next years draft.

  7. I’m not disappointed with what I’m seeing tbh. I would’ve loved to have Dart, don’t get me wrong, but as it stands, Rattler seems like a good bridge QB who is just competitive enough to develop talent around him and we’re bad enough to get good draft picks. Plus outside of that dumbass Philly special attempt, I’ve liked Kellen Moore as our coach.

  8. I wanted Shough to start week 1, but I didn’t really care that much. But now? I can’t wait for Shough to start.
