Brewers vs. Dodgers NLCS Game 4 Highlights (10/17/25) | MLB Highlights
We have arrived to our first elimination game of this Nl CS. The Dodgers up three games to none on the Milwaukee Brewers. Well, the Dodgers have been roaring through this postseason. They are 81 now and they’re going with shohei Otani tonight , Ronnie, the blue wave continues. It is a first though, Shoe Otani making his first ever postseason start at Dodger Stadium. As for the Brewers, this is a team made up of a bunch of second chancers and over self titled, but this is a team that rode that mantra to the best record in baseball this year. A team that has thrived on being counted out. The Dodgers have completely stifled the Brewer bats. Christian Jelic said it’s about the little goals at this point. Getting back to Milwaukee for a game six is a goal win. The at bat and win one in a row is today’s goal. He picks in game one on the road in the division series against the Philadelphia Phillies, but this is his first postseason start at Dodger Stadium. You see the numbers during the regular year, 14 starts. He hit 55 home runs simply no one like him in major league baseball, Bryce Tang strikes the blame looking to get his postseason off the mat. He’s just four for 32 this postseason and he issues a walk to start the ball game. The speedy to is aboard. Good start for the offense. Good to see Jackson Chio in the lineup today. Remember when he left the ball game yesterday in the seventh, mid at bat, it did not look good for that. Right hamstring strikes out and first out is A K pop up and yell at another guy trying to get it going offensively in the series. He’s just one for 11. His one hit an infield single yesterday. A called strike threes with 100 mile an hour fastball and back to back strikeouts, one swinging one looking. Now, William Contreras put him away with the sweeper and after the leadoff walk, Otani strikes out the side in the top of the first because it’s Shohei Otani. There’s no one like him. He’s got to race off the mound after he strikes out three in a row. He’s got to get ready to hit. Doesn’t even go into the dugout , all of his equipment guard, the batting gloves, the elbow guard, there’s a lot going on when Otani pitches and hits. This is the other end of the spectrum of the pitching spectrum from shohei Otani. Jose Quintana is a command pitcher, Otani tees off deep right field, Shohei Otani, one of one, a leadoff home run three quarters of the way up the right field pavilion. He strikes out three in the top of the first, a lead up bum in the bottom half. Simply amazing with Otani. And the more we see, the more we just can’t figure out how on earth he does it all. It constantly boggles the mind. He hit 55 in the regular season , a Dodger record and he’s gone deep for the third time this postseason. His first of the championship series 10 Dodgers in a hurry. Now, Mookie Betts and now Mookie bats into left field of base, hit clean single to left following the OTA home run and the Dodgers have this big crowd up and loud quickly. Now will Smith is, Will Smith on the first pitch. Perkins coming in. Can’t get it. Knocks it down bets on his way to third and the Dodgers come out swinging here in the bottom of the first three straight hits Smith in ambush mode 1st and 3rd. Nobody out. Now, Freddie Freeman and a swing and a Miss Quintana strikes him out stuck with a fastball. That’s a big out. Here’s Tommy Edmonds on the ground through for a base hit in to score his bets smith on his way to third and tommy Edmond continues to rake. It’s an RB I single, it is two to nothing. Los Angeles Edmond’s got six RBIs in 10 games of this postseason. Well, the bottom of the first inning has gone homer, single, single strikeout, single, everything is hit on the button against Quintana so far by the Dodgers offense right off the end of the bat coming in, he’ll put the tag on Hernandez going to bring in another run. It’s the second out an RB I for Hernandez. It is 3 to 0. Los Angeles early going not a bad three an out for a run and he’s back on the mound. He’s retired six in a row after a leadoff walk to Blake Perkins. A patient at bat draws the walk and speed at first base to start this third inning. Ortiz is two for 18 in the postseason. A swing and a miss to picks up his fourth strikeout and he goes upstairs, Ortiz chases the ball and it’s out number one, top of the order. Now, Bryce Tang, the second baseman and turang into left Hernandez. Is there Perkins off the out? It’s a double play. Perkins was moving on the pitch. It was a line out from Tang Hernandez running in to make that catch was able to let that ball fly to first and Perkins was trying to hustle back as quickly as he could, but Hernandez doubles him off and that’s how the series has gone for the Brewers so far here, Smith to be followed by Freeman and Edmon here in the third. Smith’s going to dump one into right field. A base hit just serves one in the right for his second hit for Setta last night. Smith at bat are getting better and better and better. Freeman. 0 to 1 with a strikeout trying to get on the board here in game four drives in the gap right center free over to cut it off. Smith on his way to third base and Freddie Freeman backs up. Will Smith back to back singles to start the third, back to back base hits for the Dodgers to open up this third innings in. Here comes Murphy, the manager, the mound just two plus for the left hander. The Dodgers have runners on the corners. Nobody out in the third. Tommy Edmon will be the batter against Chad Patrick who takes over and a called strike three back door cut and he strikes out Tommy Edmon for the first out. So now the Oscar’s turn and a swing out of this, Chad Patrick strikes him out on that breaking ball and he’s an out away from getting out of this jam and you’re looking for any kind of lift any kind of momentum you can grab onto if you’re the Brewers and a ground ball club by powers. Nice play. He’ll go to the bag and the inning is over and Chad Patrick comes on to put the blanket on it. Chad Patrick, a masterful job of working around some traffic. Jackson Chio will lead off the top of the fourth inning for the Brewers trailing three nothing chris one down the left field line, that ball is going to be one hop and out an automatic double for Jackson Chio just kept it fair. It is a short porch down there and he narrowly missed a solo home run to start the fourth. And so Chur has the Brewers first hit of his game. And here’s christian Jelic who struck out, looking back in the first Brewers with a scoring chance against OTA Jelic hits it sharply. Chur on his way to third and Betts makes the play for out number one out, a runner at third with one out Brewers trailing three, nothing but even to get one here would feel big just to get on the board. Otani deals and a swing and a Miss Contreras strikes out, picks up a big out on a strikeout number five for shohei Otani and Chur remains at third and now it’s going to be up to Bowers trying to come through a 1 to 2 pitch to, he struck him out, pumps his fist as he walks off the mound for the third time in four innings. The Brewers get the leadoff man on but strands Patrick still out there after getting the last three outs of the third inning and a called strike three with purpose 96 mile an hour fastball on the corner 1 to 2 to and he hits the same spot. Chad Patrick dialed in with that fastball man. Chad Patrick is pitching wonderfully so far here tonight , he’s retired all five that he’s faced four of them via the strikeout. Now, he’s got to face Otan who has reached twice tonight. Oh, my goodness. Oi, oh, yes. A majestic blast to, he dropped jaws everywhere and it’s four to nothing. Dodge. 117 off the bat. 469 ft. He is the first Dodger to ever have two multi home run games in the same postseason was about as impressive as it gets the bat flip. The one you can enjoy all the way around. What a majestic home run. That was my goodness 469 ft. The longest home run at Dodger stadium this year. Four nothing Dodgers in game 41 going in the fifth 12 coming and a check swing. He went around strike three seventh strikeout for Shohei Otani struck out nine Phillies in his last appearance with eight K’s in five scoreless innings. We’re halfway home in game four , Dodgers four Brewers, they lead Milwaukee 4 to 0. Thanks in large part to the man back on the mound. Shohei Thani getting ready for his sixth innings. 79 pitches. He has thrown 53 strikes, seven strikeouts through five innings and a half swing by Collins. That is the splitter once again and he strikes out Collins to start the sixth lineup. Turns over for the Brewers, Bryce Terran 1 to 2 on and a swing and a Miss it’s another strikeout. He has struck out four consecutive Brewers, sits him down with the splitter back to back case to open the sixth. He’s up to 10. I mean, usually these kind of games are reserved for Williamsport, but we got one going on right here at Dodger Stadium. Chio Skies. The first pitch in the left center field Pages is there, Otani leads to a standing ovation. Six shutout innings, 10 strikeouts, two home runs, four nothing L A in game four. Shoe. Otani back to work in the top of the seventh inning. Faces Christian Jelic ran out of the chute Brewers trailing four nothing. And that’s ball four. There’s a base runner, so Jelic works a leadoff walk here in the seventh and we’ll see that should probably get some action going. So here’s Contreras who struck out twice against Otani. He’s going through this lineup the third time tonight. 32 pitch Contreras up the middle and a base hit took that approach, French a good call and it’s a single and the Brewers now in business two on nobody out. And here comes dave Roberts and this place is going to roar when Otani walks off the six plus innings. 10 strikeouts, two home runs, one legendary performance, Dodgers up 4 to 0 on Milwaukee in game four. But don’t look now, but the tying run is on deck for the Brewers 1st and 2nd. Nobody out. It will be a pinch hitter for Jake Bowers, the right handed andrew Vaughn will face Alex Vesia. The Brewers have their, this is their and Vaughn gets under one popped him up. Infield fly roll is the call. Mookie Betts will catch it and there is out number one. So here’s Frelick, so lefty, lefty matchup here, Frelick hit lefties. Well, this season back up the middle, it goes right to bats for two time and Alex Vesia puts the blanket on another one that closes the book on Otani as Vesia inherits two, but none of them score seven shutout for Otani and Alex Vesia game four into the stretch 40. Dodgers here comes o take it out of the as a pitcher, but the Otani rule allows him to stay in as the d there have been 12 3 home run games in postseason history by 11 different players. Babe Ruth did it twice for the Dodgers. Chris Taylor the last to do it in 2021. Can Otani follow suit? Oh, oh, Tony Tony has and this so, hey, old Tony the stuff and I don’t know how much more he can say about shohei Otani because he has done well in his career. Unbelievable things tonight. He has done things that well you only dream about. I mean, if you dare dream about it and normally you’re going to be awakened in the morning by mom and says, hey, it’s time to go to school. I mean, he has done tonight. Where only a guy wearing a cape you would think would be able to do it with an s on his chest an all time game for an all time player. Three homers, he makes it five to nothing. They need six more outs to punch their ticket back to the fall classic. Become the first team first defending champion since the 2009 Phillies to make it back to the World Series is on the pitch and that one is lying fair down the left field line. Caleb Durbin on his way to second base. He’s got a leadoff double. Durbin has been one of the few bright spots in this championship series had two hits yesterday. Durbin takes off and he’s going to steal third base. The pitch is a strike. Durbin gets a third on a stereo , draws the wall. Isaac Collins steps in with runners at the corners and nobody out and a swing and a Miss Tron with a back door breaking ball strikes out isaac Collins for out. Number one, Tron is out. Dave Roberts goes into his bullpen, Anthony Bonda coming in to face Bryce Teren Anthony Banda on for the Dodgers runners on the corners against Bryce Tang. Tang faced Banda. Yesterday flying to left Tang, slow roll to second base. Flip it to the bag bats to first , not in time and the Brewers are finally on the board. The speedy Tang beats it out. Dodgers get the lead out at second base. Durbin scores the run and it’s 5 to 1. Dodgers Brewers do not get shut out in game number four and it’s an RB I fielder’s choice for Bryce Tang. Now two outs in the eighth runner on first Jackson Chio. The batter Churel whistles, one of the left field base hit inning continues for Milwaukee Jackson Chio with his second hit. He’s two for four and that is going to bring up christian Jelic Jelic trying to extend the inning to Contreras as the bullpen starts to heat up. That’s a tapper back to the mound and gets the Brewers get one but only 11 run, two hits, no errors, two left on Roki Sasaki out of the ashes of the 2025 season rises and ascends to the back end of the Dodger bullpen as their unofficial closer. Had a shot back up. The middle. William Contreras keeps him quiet for now. His second hit both have come up the middle and a base runner to start the night for the Brewers. And now it’s Andrew Vaughn. Vaughn Ponta Short is a pinch hitter in the seventh inning. Vaughn into right center field hit well, racing over to make the play is Pages and the Dodgers are two outs away. Brewers have scored exactly one run in the first four games here , consecutive games allowing one or fewer 2025. Dodgers are on that list with an active streak of four just a double play chance out at second , no throw for the second out. Frelick reaches on a fielder’s choice and one out to get for los Angeles. Sasaki will have to go through Caleb Durbin. The Dodgers on the doorstep the Brewers on the brink. Caleb Durbin, the batter takes off Durbin, a high fly ball to right pas he is there, he’s got it and the ball game is over and the Los Angeles Dodgers have won the National League Pettitte. They sweep the Brewers the greatest night of baseball by an individual player in the history of this game. Shohei Otani, three homers and a victory on the mound with 10 strikeouts game series. The Dodgers are going back to the World Series. That’s a sweep for L A and for the fifth time in nine years, the Dodgers played the pennant right here in Los Angeles. The fireworks subside, but the celebration just getting started victory formation on the mound right in the thick of it. Number seven, Shoe Tai who pitched and powered the Dodgers to this pennant. The most incredible performance I’ve ever seen by one player, not only the three home runs as a hitter, he was the starting pitcher for the Dodgers and went six, scoreless innings allowed just two hits, struck out 10 and you don’t write a script like that. Even Hollywood would throw it out. He is simply beyond words and frankly beyond comprehension. Shohei Otani, Dave Roberts said before the game, we heard it. He told the media, Otani has been quiet offensively but he can put his stamp on the NL CS. Not only did he do that, he put his stamp in the major league history books.

오타니의 오늘 같은날을 우리는 다시 볼 수가 있을까? 오타니 쇼헤이^^ 매경기 마다 우리가 볼 수만 있다면 우린 행복할것입니다^^
My boy silencing the keyboard warrior critics
the only game the dodgers lost in the post season was the game i went to😅
No spoilers here!! left this comment for those of us who don't have time to watch the game.
The reason for the loss was that the opposing team had Otani.
When you skip steroid testing it seems idk…sus?
it's official. shohei needs to be studied.
Fly the L. Karma for Lwaukee 🤣🤣🤣
Watching this from the UK. Cricket will always be a superior game for me. But this performance by Ohtani transcends sport. Mythical almost.
Ohtani living that sports manga dream
SO NOT RIGHT WITH THE TSHIRT TEAM PICTURE ON THE FIELD >>> PLEASE >>> ITS BASEBALL STUPID
History doesn't happen, if they don't pitch to him, so credit to the Brewers for challenging Ohtani.
OTSUKARE!!!
He is a child of baseball god!
This is a new anime from Japan.
I did this in high school but no one cared. Minus the home runs ofc lol.
I'm 43 years old I've been watching baseball for as long as I can remember. I had the pleasure of watching some of the best players to ever step on the diamond. But I can honestly say othani compares to or surpasses most of them just in aww at this performance and this man's first two years with the dodgers.
Jobs not finished.
You have to go to like Griffey Jr for a comparable beautiful, effortless swing. Ohtani consistently hits the most obviously outta here dingers of any player I’ve ever seen. He looks like he could still hit them harder.
I used to think that the 50/50 game last year was the best game ever played by an individual player, until I saw this one… And it is performed by the same player.
Crazy.
babe ruth
When my grandkids in 40 years ask me how good was ohtani? I will play this highlight. We truly don’t realize how special this man is, He truly is the absolutely the greatest ever in any sport.
Bro just keeps doing stuff nobody else will ever be able to do.😮 real 🐐
실시간 에이스 🔥 🌸 🙈 💛 💓 ♨️ 라이징 💕🦃💗🌸💗💗
Freeman realizing he's playing in one of baseball's legendary games: 9:20, 14:05
Ohtani just swept them so smooth nice game for the entire team
The legend of legends. The goat of goats. Nobody's done that in baseball history.
How lucky we are to watch this historical moments.
Boy I thought the Mariners performance was good.. then watching Shohei.. what a day!
HE IS NOT HUMAN.
In football terms, for equivalence, I think you need to have 5 td passes as a QB, then also play defensive lineman and sack twice, intercept once.
