Eugenio Suárez’s CLUTCH GRAND SLAM makes the difference for the Mariners in Game 5 of the ALCS! 😳
Here [Applause] comes the home run champion Cal Raleigh in a 2-1 game. And for the first time in this series, he’s going to bat right-handed. John Schneider calls on Brendan Little. They’ve wanted to give Raleigh different looks. Faces him for the first time here, representing the tying run. Bottom of the eighth. Little misses away. Miles Straw have pinch hitting. Stays in. Plays left. Lucas flips over to right. I’ll say this, they do a great job firing up this crowd in between innings. And the best way to fire up this cloud crowd is to do something offensively. They have struggled since coming home offensively have been non-existent. They need something huge to happen quick. They’re going to be trailing in this series. Here’s a high fly ball deep left field. Did he get enough? He did. Big dumper. Biggest swing. Game five tide. All right. Heat. See, that’s louder than anything they’ve done in between innings. That is a moment. Who knows? A moment. He’s had a lot. He dumps 64 over the left field wall [Applause] and ties game five. This is the highest home run I’ve seen live and there was still doubt that this was going to be rocked and you called it. Is it enough? And it was barely on. They’ve been waiting forever. Palano now. Visit from the pitching coach Pete Walker after Little gives up the leadoff home run to Cal Raleigh. Palanco takes ball two. And it’s got to feel like the walls are closing in on Brendan Little. Well, he knew coming in who he was facing. Turning around two guys and only guaranteed to face one lefty really. And that’s the third hitter, Naylor. He’s hoping to have that sinker not provide a long fly ball. That’s for sure. Yeah, it’s one of the many amazing things about Kowali’s season is that he’s done it from both sides of the plate. It’s like pick your poison. If you’re a manager, where do you want him to hit? That’s been the biggest change from previous years. He crushes left-handed pitching. came into the year with an OPS for his career against lefties of 700, which is below league average OPS. This year it’s above 1,000 MVP territory from his weaker side and he’s just a Shucks. Oh, Shucks a hit home run. It’s part of why it’s so easy to love him. He’s the everyman two and the board three. Mariners now getting greedy. They’ve tied it. Got their three hitter up there with a three and two count. Blanco one big swing after another in these playoffs. This time he doesn’t swing and he’s got to walk. Well, in the top of this eighth inning, Ernie Clement was this close to getting it out of here. It was going to be close if he didn’t catch it. If I was going to hit the front side of the wall or get off the top of it, Raleigh got it over the fence. The first late drama of this ALCS ball on Josh Naylor. [Music] It’s been amazing how much Toronto’s pressure has been on Seattle. And yet, you would think they would have, like we talked about, five runs. They only have two two swings. [Applause] And Seattle’s got this game tied with two solo home runs. [Music] [Applause] go ahead run at first. That’s Palano. Little’s one-1 pitch in the to nail it. Ball two. And at this point, that three batter minimum cannot be fulfilled fast enough if you’re John Schneider sitting over there. Dominguez ready for Rosena. Mariners hoping that it’s too late. 2-1. Not close. Heat [Applause] up here. Bring two. [Applause] Takes ball four. Go ahead run into scoring position. John Schneider back to the bullpen. All three batters that Brendan Little faces reach. Reach an understatement for what Cal Row did to start this inning. His 64th home run of the season. His biggest one yet. Heat. Heat. Brennan Little against the teeth of the lineup here succumbs. Sir Anthony Dominguez comes on. Two on, nobody out in a two- two game. Randy Rosena takes downstairs. Ball on. And if you’re wondering, is there a chance he could bunt? What say you, Joe? No chance. He’s never laid down a punt in his career. Two balls in, no strikes. And the leaping defensive play in the top of this inning. A nightmare of a postseason for Randy Rosena, but he’s got a chance to play hero right here. Mariners looking for the lead. Looking for the World Series for the first time ever. Two balls and one strike. became unglued on a fast ball that was on it. Wow. [Applause] Still behind their guy who on a two-1 pitch gets it. It’s unraveling on the Jays. Base is loaded. Nobody out. You hit a guy who can’t hit. Well, scenario is bases loaded, nobody out. And this is not one of those that you try to just give up one run cuz it’s the bottom of the eighth and you got to go with the infield in a swing and miss type guy. Strike out. Suarez. One and0. The problem with Dominguez in this spot, he has problems with walks. That’s one that goes 500 ft of swinging. Yeah, if you if you know that pitch is coming, that one’s the one that the hitters dream, but he was taken. Suarez somehow gets his bat on that. Fouls it off. One and two. So that swing right there, if you’re paying attention between the pitcher and the catcher, who is almost in the left-hander batter, this pitch has to be right back in that same spot. Gave them their first run with a home run. Base is loaded. Nobody out in the eighth. Suarez takes down. Got one more chance and then that’s it. Meaning one more chance at a pitch away off the plate to get him to swing. That one started too low. Also worry about a wild pitch with Dominguez. Two-2 fast sky foul out of play. The one thing that Suarez really never comes off of is fast balls. Doesn’t mean he you can’t get one by him. It’s just he’s not going to come off the fast ball. He’s more susceptible to the breaking ball on the outer third of the plate. Another two- two. It’s another fast ball. It’s driven the other way. It’s got a chance. It’s a grand slam. Heat [Applause] [Applause] up here. [Applause] Seattle is shaking. The Mariners lead game five, six-2. Second home run of the game for Auane Suarez is an opposite field grand slam. I just can’t believe they went with a fast ball. And I just that that pitch selection right there with a guy that’s been struggling and never comes off the fast ball. You allowed him to have a chance to do what he did. And boy oh boy did he deliver. [Applause] Crawford clutches one into shadow left center field and finally the first out of the inning after the fourth grand slam of the year from Suarez. Fast ball. Same swing maybe a little late but the power and the ability to hit a fast ball has never been questioned by Suarez. It’s can he stay off the breaking ball. Wow. [Applause] Kenzone with one away. [Applause] Well, it shows you where Toronto’s at on Jeff Hoffman who for a lot of the years has been their closer. This will be the spot to deploy two, three, and four. Instead, they go Brendan Little. He gives up the home run to Raleigh. Walks the next two guys. Dominguez comes in and gives up the grand slam. And the lead is gone. It’s a helpless feeling, right? The managers both have had some decisions that when they work out, they could feel great, but then they don’t, and it just it’s a gut. It’s just like a in your bottom of your gut. Trust your guy. The guys that come in normally would do X. They didn’t. Rebos grounded his second. The Mariners had seven runs in the three games here coming into this eighth inning. They get five and change everything. Raleigh tied it. Sorz popped the top off this place with a grand slam to the ninth. [Music]

Your welcome Mariners, signed, AZ Dbax.
These announcers may as well be wearing pom poms for the Blue Jays
I watched the game on TV but I am enjoying watching these highlights over and over. Can't get enough of it! I just love it.
I am Japanese.
You have always supported Ichiro and many other Japanese players, even though the team has been struggling for a long time. I hope your wishes come true.
Go M's!

I’m kinda upset I went to yesterdays game and not the one today, but who cares because we won!
The Door Is Open 😂
… beast Mode baby
Watching live from Australia but I grew up in Seattle. What fun to be able to trade phone calls every inning with my 90 year old Dad who is a huge fan and was watching from his retirement home in Seattle and sounded 20 years younger at the end of the game!🥹. What a lift the M’s have given Seattle and its fans all around the world. One more W!🤞🔱👏🎉⚾️🇦🇺
Mariners and their fans deserve a big moment like this….that said, the jobs not done yet.
Yankees fan here rooting for the Mariners. Go get that title guys. 👊
Mariners fans, please win this series vs the Blue Jays and then the next one, the BIG ONE vs the Dodgers in the World Series! We need you to save baseball!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
a PST world series would be nice
12:10–12:24 – GET OUT THE RYE BREAD AND THE MUSTARD THIS TIME, GRANDMA! IT IS A GRAND SALAMI! AND THE MARINERS LEAD IT, 6-2! I DON'T BELIEVE IT! MY, OH, MY! – Imagine hearing that from Dave Niehaus.
Does Suárez flat iron his hair?
Something huge did indeed happen 🔱
Inject this straight into my veins, SIEZE THE MOMENT BOYS 🔱🔱🔱🔱
Amazing…
wow..amazing….Grand Slam….wow.
love the Trident.
I'm THRILLED the M's rebounded after those crushing last two loses, but now is not the time to get cocky. This win came from good pitching and defense, and then a couple of big, timely hits, one that capitalized on two walks and a hit-by-pitch. The M's still weren't hitting consistently throughout this game, and the Jay's offense could come roaring back after this. All it takes is for game 6 to go like game 3 or 4, and suddenly we're at a winner-take-all. The M's need to play like their season is on the line for game 6.
As a Dbacks fan this made me so happy we didn’t deserve him
Let's keep this train rollin'. Go M's.
Ok but we’re just gonna gloss over “BIG DUMPER… BIGGER SWING”?
This feels like the World Series already
LFG mariners one win away from first world series 🔱🔱🔱
Feels like watching the movie "major league" in the end team wins pennant and advance to world series… LFG mariners 🔱🔱
Loudest crowd reaction in mlb history
It needs to be Dodgers v Mariners
I wasn’t watching baseball before the age of 9 so as a man in my early 30s now this is the best Mariners team I’ve ever seen and im just glad to still be here on this earth to see this and share the joy with my dear friends 😭 Go M’s
Wow, great job Mariners!
This game was lost by Toronto by a stupid ignorant choice of pitchers by John. He needs to be fired.
This is who he is. Remember 4 hommers in Arizona.
No respect for the Ms.
As a Mariners fan it feels really good to see so many people pulling for us. I know it's coming from a place of pity but it still feels good lol.
Does it make me a psychopath for watching this entire video at 0.5x speed? I mean the crowd and player reactions are just amazing. One win away from a childhood dream of making the World Series 😩
Fan since 1979. Wow, isn't this something?! The Happiness of the 1990s has returned!! We live in good baseball times.

Duly noted…1:03
Go M's
I'm a long time busker at many Mariners games.
I was playing until mis first inning and started singing again at the bottom of the seventh
While I was performing they played great and when I stopped to wait at Sluggers Bar for a root beer and saw the Ms fall behind and when I started again they played great and won.
Did I help do thaaaat?
I've heard enough crowd sounds over the decades that I can tell what is happening just from the crowd reactions, especially the ones that make the very air outside of the stadium crackle… Like it did a few times during the last two innings.
Exhilarating ending!
Love that even the King County Sheriff inside the dugout is pumped up ❤
Thanks for the highlights. But 7 commercials is ridiculous.
マリナーズvsドジャースが観たい。できれば次で優勝決めてほしい、疲れをこれ以上溜めるのはあまり良いことではない
