How many best games of a career can one guy have? Best part of his W today was the total dismantling all with class and style. Don’t care what hat this guys wears, keep making the case for best ever.

  1. He certainly had the best game in baseball history tonight when you consider everything involved.  It was nice to see the Brewers get swept.

  2. Dude is genuinely the best baseball player this planet has ever seen. Unreal.

    We should get him cheap

  3. Remember when this sub and all of baseball said they wouldn’t pay this man? Fucking nuts. “I won’t pay 500+ for a DH”

  4. Regardless of what anyone thinks of the Dodgers that was an outrageous performance, what a player.

  5. Last night’s game was so late here and I couldn’t watch, got nothing on tonight so might just put it on later cause it sounds like it was amazing

  6. We were not going to watch this at first but I was so curious to watch Ohtani pitch and got sucked in to watching the single greatest showing of baseball maybe ever. Cannot imagine being part of that IRL crowd and witnessing history. Amazing stuff.

  7. If he was a mediocre hitter and a number four pitcher, he’d still be amazing. The fact that he is a master at both is just impossible. Even Babe Ruth wasn’t as good.

  8. Remember when people in this sub were saying he wasn’t worth the money? He’s honestly underpaid.

  9. You also have to respect Ohtani for grinding it out with the Angels, even though he could’ve easily been bought out to join a better team and win a world series sooner. This guy is the greatest athlete ever. Wish he was playing for the Cubs.

  10. When they say “we can’t compete with that payroll” what they really mean is “we can’t compete with Shohei”

  11. I wish the “small market” Cubs would have paid the money to get such a multi-generational talent.

  12. Imagine if Rickets and Hoyer pulled out the checkbook and signed this guy. He would have filled two voids on the team, an ace and a power hitter, and would have been someone that would OWN the Brewers…..time and time again. What a missed opportunity!
