The Check In – 10.16.25 – Jets at Flyers
Heat. Heat. N. I mean, Hey. Heat. Heat. All right, the paper is snapped. He is ready to go, folks, as we get you set for game four of the regular season for the Winnipeg Jets who continue their road trip out east. They actually wrap it up this afternoon after spending, I think this be their third, well, technically two and a half maybe days. They got their Monday night to Philadelphia after the win in against the Islanders. Yeah. So, they had a day off Tuesday, practice yesterday, and then game day today against the Flyers. What uh what are you expecting tonight? Well, I think what we’ve seen so far is like all the new pieces are starting to merge together. Yeah. Um you know, outside of the first, as Scott O’Neal said yesterday or I believe today, is that that first four minutes against Philadelphia or against the Islanders wasn’t very good. They were a little sleepy. Um and they were helped out a lot by Eric Carry. Uh Carney made an unbelievable save. I think 15 seconds in on Matt Barzel. Uh that kind of send the warning bells off a little bit and then I think it was the first seven shots of the game the Islanders had and then the Jets got into their into their game plan and start and really took that game over after that. So goalending the penalty kill again. Tanner Pearson had two points. Four players had four points. Morgan, another goal from Morgan Baron. We’ll get a little bit more on him. But so to answer your question about tonight, Philadelphia is is who they are. They’re just they’re big team. They’re physical. They and if anyone knows about the Flyers, it’s it’s me. It’s this guy. Yeah. So, he was a childhood Flyersman. Bobby Clark, Flynn Flon, Manitoba. So, there’s that. There’s the Manitoba process on that one. Um, so yes, lots of love for the Orange and Black. They uh with Rick Tocket taking over as head coach, former flyer as well. So, there’s a lot of changes to the lineup. There’s a lot of changes to the system. It’ll be a physical game as always, but um you know it it is just I think more of what the Jets have been doing lately is going to be just fine because they’re just it just seems like everything is clicking for them at this point. Only I mean two and one but a much things have been better since the third period of the Dallas game and and it’s carried over quite well over the last two games. Yeah, absolutely. It’s great to see so many of you in the chat already. Um I like person that commented already the paper is bigger than the laptop. You aren’t wrong. Um That’s good afternoon. Hey Rob. Hey Rob. How you doing? It’s great to see so many of you as always in the chat. I saw someone ask is Perfetti playing tonight? No, he is still sideline. He is not uh he is not a go. So I love your enthusiasm. Lots of people looking forward to this one. How many of us Rob asks will be channel flipping between the Jets game and the Jay’s game? Well the Jets game though is at 6 central so it’s early. So the Jays are about 8 something somewhere around there. You’re more the baseball. I’m flipping the Dodgers game. Sorry. Oh, right, right, right. Uh, good for the J. Good for that. We do have a busy show uh today. Really looking forward to guest, uh, Nick Antropov, former Winnipeg Jet. That of course was, uh, part of that initial team that came here in 2011 and he’s the answer to a trivia question. Who scored the first Winnipeg Jets goal 2.0? That would be Nick Antropov in that game against the Montreal Canadians. He’s going to join us today cuz he was a part of one of the most memorable games in season 1 which occurred in Philadelphia. Yeah. This was all part of Jets Legends before you you joined us here and brought the tremendous documentary series known as Runway which we’ll show a little bit later in this this program. Uh we had Jets Legends did a lot of interviews during COVID. Um there was 20 episodes I believe and it’s episode 11. It’s the 98 game in Philadelphia which how many of you I wanted to see in the chat right now. How many of you still remember? October 27th, 2011, I believe, is the date. Yeah. Seared into JT’s mind forever. So, four goalies, right? Yep. Four goalies. Chris Mason. Well, it went Andre Pavick. Yeah. Chris pulled for Chris Mason. Chris Mason suffered a groin injury. Yeah. So then Pavoc had to go back in. So that that’s pretty wild in that aspect. We’re going to play that. So Nick Andov is going to join us here a moment. He’s working with the Leafs organization and player development. Um we’ll talk about the 98 game. He had four points. Daniel Briier was in that game. He was one of the stars. He’s now the general manager of the Philadelphia Flyers. Um so we let’s let’s run the video. Um this comes from Jets Legends. It just gives you a little context of what we’re going to be talking about in case you don’t remember the game. Um but here is a little bit of video of that. I remember building up a lead. I remember being tied. I’ve gone back and watched that the highlights of that game several times and I still feel sick when they tie it. And for does come up with it to Lilia for a shot. Save scores. Tie game. That was easily the craziest game I’ve ever been involved with. Turns it around. Rier walks up to score. Chris Mason going in. He got hurt. So Pavick had to go back in. It was an absolute gong show. Here’s a head drop off towards the net. Bistra scores. They tie it 77. We scored a goal in the third. I was playing with my buddy Tim Stapleton at the time and our line scores and we were fired up with a puck now for the Jets. Drop pass scores. Mark Stewart his first of the season. The Jets have their lead back. It’s now 87. Stewie pounds one home. Next thing is eight all. And has a look in front. They score. You’re just thinking, can we we better win this game or this is you don’t want to be on the other side of and then and then Latty scored with like a minute and change to go. Drops it off for Lad out in front trying to pull the trigger as Wheeler. He couldn’t. Blake Wheeler in front scores. Andrew Lad with 66 seconds to go. And the captain of the Jets puts him back on top. So wild. Absolutely crazy. So Winnipeg were they not up 6-1 or something like for it. It was crazy how it went back and forth. I mean, the four goal leads were were disappearing left and right. And I see someone say quote Noel’s reaction after the game is priceless. It’s true. It gave way to one of the best known quotes from that 2011. Throw it at us. I thought to myself, self, you’re a sick man trying to make logic of this. He was always great. Uh he was always great for a number of good quotes out there. So, looking forward to being able to talk to Nick about that. But of course before we get to that um and have Nick join us, we are going to quickly set up what came out of morning skate today and that includes the line rushes. So this is what a lot of people were waiting to see what was going to happen today and it does look like they might be able to see some of the injured players that were not able to finish the game last game or participate in the lineup. If you’ll notice that Cole Keepy uh for the second consecutive day out on the ice. Same thing with Hayden Flurry, but we got some Yeah, there’s some interesting things going on here. Yes, we will have to we will have to see. So, in the line rushes, Nikita Chipperov was down on that fourth line. You see Tanner Pearson, who you discussed had the good game against the Islanders, got bumped up to the second line. But so afterwards though staying out for extra time was Chibberov staying out with uh yeah and Miller. So we will have to see about that. It does look like there is the possibility at least that Parker forward could draw in for the first time this season. Also not fully confirmed that Hayden Flurry could be. So we’re gonna find out. We’re strictly going by what line rushes were. So yes, as always, we will tell you to, you know, pay attention to Mitchell Clinton uh when he tweets out the line rushes when warm-up gets going. So that would be at 5:30 central time because it’s a six o’clock central start, but uh that is what we’re seeing. Ken Weave reporting that Nikita Chipov stayed out for extra time, but he had the opportunity along with a couple others to talk to Scott Arneal today. So, here’s what um Scott said leading into this game. We were going to do a lot of digging in on the Flyers yesterday. What What’d you learn about, you know, maybe some of the systemic stuff that Rick has brought in the group? They uh they work uh they work. They’re quick. Um they have a really good transitioning game. They’ve got uh um some people that can really skate and, you know, offensively push the push the pace forward. Um, you know, you can see that there are some changes to what uh, you know, maybe what was played here last year and, uh, some of the similarities that talk had in Vancouver and, um, you know, I think that, you know, they’re they’re really trying to be responsible defensively and and and not give up a lot of opportunities and then add the offense to it. You know, obviously it’s a good young team with talent. Just kind of I had to wait and see what’s going on with all the injuries. So, I’ll talk to Muller here one more time and see where everybody’s at. That’s why I’m not 100% sure what it’s going to look like tonight. Fair. How do you feel like that DF handled things with without you know first three games so far? Yeah, it’s been tough. Obviously Sammy’s a, you know, big minute guy and we’ve asked other guys to step in and do it and then you lose Flur, you know, I had to put Mills on the left side, something first, you know, first for him to do and thought he handled it pretty well. So, um, I’d like to go a bunch of games where it’s consistent with partners, uh, but it just hasn’t been able to happen. And so, that’s when you lean on your veteran guys to, you know, to do what they do best. Um, I I think we’re giving up still. not think I know we’re still giving up too many DZone coverage goal uh opportunities something we can clean up but it’s still early during the year and we’ve talked about it looked at video on it and hopefully each game gets better well there he is so referring to the Flyers like they have a lot of dangerous talent like Sean Couture is healthy for the first time in a long time Travis Kney is a talented Mcb Mishkov his unbelievable rookie from last year probably would have won rookie of the year if it wasn’t for um the kid in Montreal name escapes me at this time. Um, Lane Hudson, uh, Tyson Forcer’s a handful. Like, they got a lot. And then Trevor, uh, Ziggress came over from the Anaheim Ducks had a great start to his National Hockey League career. Really struggled over the last couple years with the Anaheim Ducks getting a fresh start with the Philadelphia Flyers. So, he’s on the left side of their third line. So, um, Travis Sanheim, Manitobin, uh, played the Four Nations faceoff last year. Very talented player as well on their top defense pairing. Yeah. So, it’ll be it’s always a challenge. You know, it doesn’t really matter what the record mean when you go to Philadelphia. Historically, it has been a challenge for the Jets. They know that they will have their work cut out for them. Great sign, though, is that as you kind of alluded to off the top, that things are starting to roll a little bit more. You know, in the first couple games, it was the top line that was really leading the way offensively. Now, the secondary talking about when they go on the road, that top line gets negated sometimes because the last change and so the secondary scoring had to pick up. It has. That includes Morgan Baron. Yeah, Morgan Baron, tremendous goal, a given goal with Cole Kevky there in the first period. It goes Roof Daddy uh on Ilio Sroken. So like he’s off to a great start. He’s been a big part of their penny penalty kill. That’s 14 for 15 the first three games. I love how remember Paul Edmonds talked about how they’ve been taking too many penalties to cut back. They take five more against the Islanding five a game. Yeah. So, but they’ve been incredible in that department. But Morgan Baron’s been unbelievable. Scott O’Neal talked about this yesterday. Let’s see that goal that he scored against the Islanders first. I think the being comfortable in that position um getting a bigger role with Lao being out um whether that’s taking Dzone draws, whether that’s starting on the penalty kill. Um but just probably coming out of training camp and having a real good uh sort of practice sessions playing center. Last year, like I said, he got thrown in at the toughest time of the year after the deadline and did a really good job. And I just think now he’s kind of really taken it on and, you know, there’s more detail to his game and and he’s learning kind of or he’s learned a lot of those ideas and things that he needs to do each night and he’s been good. And then he’s thrown in the offense uh which uh you know, both have come off the rush and he’s finished them off pretty nicely. So you you you we’re talking about the opportunity that Morgan Baron’s been given about playing center. That’s without Adam Lowry in the lineup. But here’s another impressive part with the penalty kill. They’re 93% and they don’t have Dylan Samberg, your best shot blocker, and you have your best, you know, defensive forward and Adam Lowry out in that aspect. But this has also allowed Jonathan Taes to come in and has played a lot more minutes than expected. Yeah. You know, he had a heavy minute distribution against the Islanders the other night. They are not We always joke about the easing them back into things. I think the best way to ease people back in is to get them to the minutes that they’re used to playing all the time. So, he he’s been great. It’s it’s it’s been very impressive to see considering the players that are out of the lineup, but that was the veterans that they they they were they knew they were getting these guys that can just be thrown into any situation and and handle it just fine. And they’ve got that that and then some. And then of course Logan Stanley has two points. Yeah, that’s your secondary scoring. You’re not counting on secondary scoring from your defenseman in most parts, but the fourth line was big against the Islanders that on Monday afternoon. Yeah, absolutely. And you see the bump up it appears potentially based on line rushes. We’ll preface everything um by saying it appears that Tanner Pearson could be getting the bump up to that second line today. Yeah, just the job that he’s done as well coming over obviously the vet uh lots of experience won the Stanley Cup before but a goal and assist in just over 11 and a half minutes of ice time last game right with Jonathan the TA who just is a revolving door of wingers so far. Um, but uh, as promised a little bit earlier, we’re going to go back to talking about that 9A game uh, way back in 2011. And we’re pleased to welcome in former Winnipeg Jet and currently part of the Toronto Maple Leaf organization is Nick Antropov. Um, Nick, thank you so much for joining us. Uh, you’re looking great. Thanks. Guys, I I I know that, you know, there are a lot of great moments in your National Hockey League career, but that 98 game in Philadelphia 14 years ago, does that still bring back the memory, the good memories when you look back at that one? Uh well, obviously, yeah, like I mean, we won that game, but the way the way it uh you know, folded for us, uh it was kind of Yeah. crazy if you think about it. Yeah, I was actually looking for highlights of that game couple days ago when you reached out. So, it’s uh it’s good to relive this moments, but yeah, we came out on top. That’s what it was. Matter. Were you a little worried when you’re up 5-1 and then it starts to fall apart a little bit? I wasn’t worried up until that point and and then uh when it became Yeah. 52, 53, 54 slowly. Then, you know, you see a little bit of a I wouldn’t say panic, but it was a little bit of a panic on the on the bench, you know, like then our goalies get Yeah, we pulled I guess. Yeah, Andre got pulled and Chris went in, right? I think. And then Yeah. I believe if I’m not I think so. Yeah. So, anyway, yeah, it was a little bit of a uh panic, I guess. Yeah. And then uh but glad. Yeah. when especially like you know when we we were losing like 87 at one point right I believe. Yeah. So we had to tie the game and then Andrew scored within a minute or so left. So I’ve never been part of that in my life you know like game like that but uh yeah it’s fun. Yeah certainly not something that you’re used to seeing at the NHL level at least. Nick you spent your career in the East and when the Jets came uh when the Jets came back in they were still in the Eastern Conference of course. So you played in Philadelphia a number of times. That’s where the Jets are playing uh this evening. What is it like being a visiting player going in and playing in Philadelphia? Uh well, be honest. Yeah, it’s not pleasant, you know, when the fans the fans are uh right on top of you. I know. I remember those. Yeah, I remember those fans. Yeah, even I think like you go on a warm up and it’s like over 10,000 fans up there just watching the warm up and screaming and yelling and you know stuff like that. So kind of like a intimidation factor I guess they can but uh it’s always fun you know especially when you’re winning and then it’s it’s it’s funny. I remember like a couple of series playoff series with the Leafs when I was playing for the Leafs as well and we played Philadelphia and it was like back then it was still old school hockey you know before the uh rule changes and everything. Yeah, it was a hostile environment that’s for sure. Now like you know I play a couple alumni games here and there with few guys that are older than me and they talk about 70s and 80s Philadelphia Flyers. you know, I’m glad I wasn’t part of that, but I, you know, catch a glimpse of that hockey when I started. Yeah, absolutely. Um, when you think of that first year, this is the 15th anniversary season of the Jets, when you think of that first year in Winnipeg, what is it that stands out to you most, Nick? What do you remember most about that time? I remember that really, really well, actually. It was a lot of excitement in the city and you know like the closer we get to that first home opener game. Uh I was you know excited was building up in the city players you know can’t wait to get started and stuff like that. So the fan base obviously was the best best part of it. You know the white outs uh the first game against Montreal. Well actually the first exhibition game against Columbus I believe first shift. I don’t know if you guys remember that. Yeah we got two three big hits right after that and then uh the building was on fire you know and then obviously the first NH regular season NHL game was was fun. The whole year was fun you know like friends friends were anticipating and waited for a long time. to get NHL hockey back and it’s been what 15 years now like you said right since it’s gone by really quickly I imagine for you you know not being here as well but you talked about the big hit in the Columbus game what was it like to get to know Dustin Bufflin and then watch him in action night overnight because he’s such a just a unique person and personality Oh yeah was the best honestly one of the best one of the best teammates I ever played with uh tough ice on the ice is always fun, always with the smile. I don’t think he ever had a bad day, you know. Uh yeah, it’s been just, you know, he’s he came into Atlanta organization before we moved to Winnipeg with Stanley Cup degree, you know, so he knows what it takes to win, you know, to win the game. So, he brought a lot to our team and obviously from going from Atlanta to Winnipeg, Canadian market again, it was uh I was excited to see that for sure. Yeah. Yeah. Uh certainly still remains one of the most popular players that has ever worn a Winnipeg Jets jersey. Nick, give fans that are watching right now an idea of what you’re up to these days. Well, like you guys mentioned, yeah, so I’ve been uh part of Toronto Maple Leafs development staff, an ice development staff for the last six years. So I’ve been doing this uh based in Toronto, obviously just being father, you know. I love it. Yeah, that’s it. That’s a s simply explain. Did you think that this would be something you would do while you were playing? Like this was the in your wildest dreams. Do you think you’d be part of player development in some ways? Not really. No, like you know when you play like some guys now it’s a bit different but back then yeah just you know like you don’t really think about what what you’re going to do when you’re retired. You know that at least in my case that’s wasn’t uh it wasn’t even close what I was thinking I was going to do. And then uh just the opportunity came in, you know, like I was my oldest one was playing in the OHL at the time, my oldest son. So I got to meet uh few or I got to see if the few guys that I played against or with and then they become, you know, a part of management or stuff like that, you know, and so that’s how I kind of get into it. And yeah, like I said, it’s been six years and I love every minute of it. That’s great. Thanks, Nick. Hey, listen. It’s it’s nice to catch up with you as always. Thanks for taking us back to October 27th, 2011. One of the craziest nights of your life and I’m sure Winnipeg Jets fans. And uh thanks so much for your time. I wish you all the best. I appreciate it. Thanks for having me. Thanks so much, Nick. Yeah. Bye. Andropov, who’s always great to deal with? Yeah. So, I I’ve always wondered like whenever because I wasn’t here at the beginning, but obviously just what was someone like Nick like? Like he just seems very enjoyable to deal with. He was great and I had covered him when he was with the Leafs as well. um there. So yeah, he just came in with he had been around obviously for um a while and you think about his career with the Leafs as I mentioned he was in the East Leafs, he was with the Rangers with Atlanta/Winnipeg. So just a just a pro that was great to deal with. So um speaking of pro, like see our massive rundown there comment about here’s the interesting thing. It was brought up again yesterday by Ken Wee with Eric Comry. It’s about every two or three games they’re talking about getting comms in the in the net which Okay. Were you surprised and maybe you know let’s hear about you from the chat as well. Were you surprised that Eric Comry got the start on Monday afternoon? I I like and now the last year yes I would have been surprised because there’s that amount of games days between games right and you always think that Heli wants that the net all the time but now there’s just this now that conversation is out there about cutting back below 60 I just think it’ll be interesting to see Oh happy to see you hi hi Jamie okay we know where some were pleasantly surprised to see him play I was surprised Um partly because um I didn’t think that he would be in in the third game this season. Like I mean typically that it typically Connor runs about four games. Yeah. And then they would put him in. So I think it’ll be interesting to see what happens going especially because they had the longer break. So that kind of surprised me a little bit as well that they’d put him in. But now it’ll be something obviously that we and and everyone else there will be tracking as well. So probably now going forward when he’s in the game. And listen, we’re not surprised because oh, comms is getting the start. It’s just like you’re just typically especially so early in the season to to see us and then he’s like hello with the big stop early and it was unbelievable again. So what Arie was talking about the opportunities they are giving up a lot of high danger scoring chances but you know the fact they’re two and one but I think we’re just so used to them being so suffocating defensively. We still have to keep in mind, and we’ve talked about this a lot already about the the moving parts, and you just heard Arie say about, you know, I’d like to have more consistency in the defense pairings, but it’s been impossible because of injuries for him to have that. So, uh, regardless of who is, you know, the 56 pairing here this this evening, I I think they’re pretty happy with the way and Luke Shen talked about earlier today with Mitchell Clinton about same thing. Just there’s lots of things they need to clean up for sure. But I think that if you look around the league right now, early on in this season, first week, that kind of seems to be the case with a number of teams. I mean, I just, by the way, you’re not drunk. That’s our camera just autofocusing. So, whenever gets blurry, they’re Oh, is it auto focusing? It’s autofocusing. Yes. Yeah. So, anyways, um that I I think across the league you see a number of teams that are still obviously trying to find their footing as we’re so early into the season, just over a week into it. So, I think it’ll be interesting to see how it cleans up. It’s such a busy stretch again. You know, the Jets had the couple days off, uh, which is nice. Now they’re in a stretch again of three games in five days. They are going to stay over in Philadelphia tonight. So, another night in Philly, which is rare, especially in the East. So, not as uncommon in the West with obviously the time change, but uh, with it being a six o’clock central start. Um, typically they would fly home after the game. And this year, I think we’re going to see them staying over in the city a lot more often and this is a way to try to deal with and this condensed schedule. Yes, I think recommendations from sleep doctors or various people as well. So, we’ll see how that works out, but they’re trying something different to they took some of the lessons that they learned last year with this being even more condensed trying to apply it and and looking for success in that respect. Okay, so they are playing the Flyers. Flyers won their f uh won the game against they handed Florida their first loss the other day. So you you’ve seen the jacket presentation at the end of games uh for Winnipeg. This is Philadelphia’s kind of new thing this year. Of course, Bernie Pant, the great Hall of Fame goalender for the Philadelphia Flyers uh passed away recently. This is the Flyers way. They got it on their shoulder. Uh the number one and also they hand out the mask. Yeah, that’s Bernie Pon’s mask. So that’s a that’s a pretty cool find by you by the way. Well, I just thought it was I I always enjoy seeing different things that teams do for their um player of the game. Yeah, the Blue Jays have that big jacket they put on. Uh the Seattle Mariners when they hit a home run, they’ve got the Trident that they hand to the players when they come off. Uh the Los Angeles Dodgers throw sunflowers. Really going on baseball theme right now. Sorry about that. Playoffs going on. Yes. It’s just like it’s going out of focus the way our camera is going right now. So I feel drunk watching this show. So it’s So it’s 12 o’clock. So, but I just thought it was a great way to honor Bernie Peron, who obviously um you know, just with the best. Yeah, just an absolute icon there. So, I thought it was a I thought it was a cool one to be able to see. Let’s take a quick look at what we are expecting the Flyers lines to be. Now, the Flyers today, it was an optional skate. Uh you look on that first pairing, Cam York has been activated from injured reserve, so they are expecting him to uh get the to make his season debut. You mentioned a bunch of the either changes um some of the guys that are healthy back. Trevor Zegress, one of the most notable names as well obviously that came over from there. Um Owen Tippet’s a big winger on the right side. U Samuel Ersen will get the starting goal for the Flyers. So I saw someone asking about that. So obviously expecting it to be Connor Halbuck for the Jets. So uh you take a look at that. And one of the things that I think will be a storyline for this game when we talk about things is special teams. Um obviously you know the Jets very much looking to cut down on the number of penalties that they have been taking. Philadelphia one of the storylines with that team right now with Rick Chocket coming in is how can they improve the power play was something that struggled before he got there under John Tordell. It has for I think a number of seasons now. But they’re operating at 10% I believe to start this season. Last year they were 30th in the league in terms of the power play. That’s something that’s certainly been a focus for them to try to get going here and it’s been a lot of talk about it in the Philadelphia market. Yeah, I watched the game against the Panthers the other day and they were moving the puck around quite nicely and had lots of scoring chances but Florida shut them down that aspect. But you know that’s why you add a Ziggris. Uh this is another year for Mishkov um who’s got an unbelievable shot. So um that is what they’ve tried to do. They try to supplement the power play with some talent. uh Zerris are hoping is is going to help in that regard. So, but Gritty is amazing. Best part of the Fer. I agree with you. He is the best part of the Flyers. And that’s actually a story that Eric Comry told us on the pod last year about, you know, because you always see him and Helluck caught talking. Y um during uh TV timeouts when you’re at the game and I had asked about what’s the funniest thing you guys have ever talked about during a TV timeout and he said that Heli was telling him to not look at Gritty because Gritty was off the side and he said I kept looking over at him and laughing. So it’s just like so that Gritty plays a large role and he is very hard to not pay attention to. Well, right when you’ve been there, have you been to a Flyers game since Gritty’s been around? No, not since Gritty. It’s unreal how funny he is. Now Mickey Mouse is still better, hands down, but but Gritty But Gritty certainly uh can be a distraction out there. There’s so many different ways to obviously be able to uh take in Winnipeg Jets content. We’ve really wanted to uh remind you again that you always have your previews up on the website as well as your postgame pieces. We’ve got View from the booth with Paul Edmonds that comes out. You’ve got your podcast and then episode one of Runway uh we released as well. Cool. So, keep in mind it’s not debuting tomorrow. That’s at the end. So, ignore that last part of this. This is the video. Here’s the video. Here’s Arie’s comments last night about uh the progress we made in getting to the battle. That competitive foundation, expanding that competitive foundation starts today. It’s compete, get in the battle. Now it’s win the battle. We’re working towards winning the Stanley Cup. That’s what we talked about last year. Not afraid to talk about it. We need to push it even farther of winning more of those battles. As soon as I saw you pick it up, I knew you. You can go watch that on the Winnipeg Jets YouTube channel ready titled Reset. And so the approach that we took with it this year a little bit different. Just trying to give the perspective of different players going into a training camp because obviously training camp means different things for different players depending where you are in your career or where you are in terms of your established position within the organization as well. So go check it out. Yeah, there’s that conversation between Braden Joerger who is at the beginning part of his parole career and Luke Shen who’s at the tail end. It’s not over yet. No, no. But there’s a lot of wisdom being passed on by Luke Shen to Braden Jagger. Great part of that documentary. So check it out. Yes. Uh, we also wanted to quickly bring up Oh, it is out of focus. So, I know like seriously. Okay. Uh, there we are. We’re back. You’re fine. You just tuned in. This is what happens when people touch our material before we come on to the show. Um, they’re trying to tell me to go with the manual focus, but we’re not going to deal with that right now. Okay. We did want to tell you about Jetstown Takeover, which is going on right now. Boom. Uh, it is back. You may remember it from years before. 2223 season, I believe, is last time they did it. Okay. Running. It’s running from October 15th to November 24th. And so if you would like to see your community get the Jets town takeover, town takeover, then make sure that uh you nominate your community for a chance to bring an unforgettable Winnipeg Jets experience to your town. Head to winnipegjets.com/jetstown takeover to enter. So reminder once again to uh make sure you check out the warm-up. Yes. Yes, in Philadelphia today. But let’s put up quickly what the projected lines. Yep. So if you take a look at the projected lines with what seeing. So this is based on the line rushes that happened at morning skate. Yes, there is some question though. You know it uh it was said that Parker Ford could be a possibility. We will see. Uh Scott Neil was asked about him and he did say that one of the things that stood out about Parker Ford is his consistency shift in and shift out. Um Chipperov did stay out for extra skating after morning skate was done. So there is the possibility that we could see Parker for draw in for the first time this season. And then Connor Hllabuk will be back in goal tonight. So many answers to come either on CJ OB and Power 97 or TSN 3. That’s right. with Kevin and Dan coming up a little bit later today. So, we’ll get this focus thing. We’ll focus on the focus thing and get it fixed up for the next time. That’s right. Which is going to happen on Saturday. Saturday 12:30 show. Nashville Predators are in town. Looking forward to that one. Uh, always a good time. You know, Nashville obviously looking to have a much different that was brutal last year for them. Yeah. Getting Hellebuyck more time off during the regular season will probably make a big difference in the post season where Hellebuyck's fatigue has undone our playoff runs.
Tazer will score tonight!
