The Seattle Mariners are 1 WIN AWAY from their FIRST-EVER World Series appearance! 🔱

Three outs away from becoming the first home team to win a game in this championship series. Andre Munoz well-rested, has not pitched since Sunday. Claims in a strike to Isaiah Conor Fa. Six and a third in this postseason. Has not given up a hit. Little bit outside. One ball, one strike. Yeah, it took three games for this place to really rock. It wanted too badly those first two games. It did. Droed the game playing right, replacing Camzone. But when it rocked, it rocked good. [Applause] First it was Raleigh and then it was Suarez, his second of the day. All six runs for the Mariners via the home run. 11 out of the 12 in the three games here. Live by it, die by it. And in game five, Luben. Yeah. A lot of things had to happen though to get those home runs and a lot of pitches, a lot of takes, and some big walks. When we wrap up, stay tuned. They’ve got the postgame show presented by Strauss. Of course, our all-star cast, Kevin Burkar with Alex Big Poppy and Derek Jeter. Right when we wrap up, update you on the Dodgers Brewers game. They’ll tee up game six of this series in Toronto sideline. Strike out Jason. Trey Savage in his ninth major league or in his sixth major league start is going to try to save the Blue Jays season. Well, I mean this game I mean obviously it it never could happen this way, but if this game was played 10 straight times the same way the Blue Jays with all that traffic will have done damage. Six runs, seven runs. They didn’t get it done tonight. Seattle was able to make plays and get out of those jams and then they were in the game long enough to get two huge swings in the eighth inning. You can’t keep flirting against the Toronto Blue Jays, though. If you’re Seattle, even though you’re you may be up three games to two, you’re going to have to have cleaner innings because that place in Toronto will be just as loud as here. And those that offense is still not going anywhere. Logan Gilbert, the likely starter for the Mariners. He did not pitch great when he faces lineup in game two. Lazy fly to the Razer. Two gone in the nine. And these Mariners have gifted these fans quite a summer. At least one more gift for him right here. This comeback in game five. Mariners fans are hoping that they get another shot at this. A shot in the World Series for the first time. Lerido. I mean, they have been the most active fans. Now, granted, they have never been to the World Series and they knew coming home really only had to win two. Now they’re lucky enough to be in a situation to only have to win one more looks like. But this crowd is like had a huge party all day and for the last three days, this one felt the best. up the middle. Crawford so close they can taste it. The Mariners take a game five thriller. They’re one win from the World Series. [Applause] Bayu Haneo Suarez came into this game six for his last 50. Connects on a solo home run in the second inning and the biggest of his 52 home runs this year. A grand slam to win the game in the eighth. Of course, Big Dumper is in the middle of it. Kari tied it. His fourth home run of the postseason, 64th overall. Was the home run that defined this team all year. That and the pitching. And don’t forget about the pitching in this game. Just two runs allowed. Here’s the swing though that they’ll talk about forever. You’re not kidding. I mean, pass ball, center cut, if nothing else, it was going to get the lead run in and it ended up getting four runs in and it’s a moment. They were waiting for the moment. They got the moment. Now they have to cash in after a day off and head to Toronto. Well, they have the double and they’ve been playing that for three decades. Now they have the grand slam. It’s auhaneo Suarez giving the Mariners a 6-2 lead and he stands by with Tom Verduchi. Thanks, Joe. Gino Suarez, 12 years in the major leagues, more than 300 home runs, but this trip around the bases, tell me what that felt like, what you were thinking. Obviously, this is the the biggest home run of my career. [Music] Yeah, like I say, this is this got to be the biggest home run of my career. Always so special. I’ve been I’ve been waiting this for a long time. It been a while to have a game like this today. It was awesome to be able to hit that grand slender and give it a win to my team to the fans. They’ve been here support us all year long, all seasons. Nobody say it’s going to be easy, but you got to keep you got to fight. You got to stay in the fight. Never quit. And I glorify God because he give me a power. He put everything on myself. I lock in myself right there and just try to drive one man and God is good and I I dream four. Well, Gino, take me through that at bat because it wasn’t just one swing, six pitches, an epic at bat. What was your approach and how did it change with two strikes? I mean, I knew I knew he got a good stop. I tell myself, don’t don’t let that fast be you. I knew he going to at some point going to throw me one right there. not try too much lock locking myself in and and try to put the ball in play. I know I got a enough power to at least drive my mean and uh I hit that big flight right there and and and now we win the game. Gino, it’s your second time here with Seattle. You know what baseball means? What’s the Mariners mean to this town right now? The Mariners are closer to the World Series than they’ve ever been. You have the opportunity to go to the World Series in Toronto in game six. Tell me about that opportunity and what it means for this franchise and this city. It will be a special this year being special for everybody in this organization for our fans. They’ve been waiting long time for this moment and we here to give it them. We’re here to fight for a World Series, not only for the ASL. We We’re here to fight for a World Series. We want to give it to them. We want to stay in the fight and we needed them to stay with us on the pie. Congratulations, Gino. Thank you so much. [Applause]

  1. When it comes to the Mariners, don’t ever count the chickens before they hatch. You’ll learn this after 48 years of being a fan and waiting for a World Series.
They still have to win a game in Toronto after stinking up two great opportunities at home and only winning 1 of 3.

  2. That hit by Geno is easily the biggest hit in mariners history. Given the circumstances and what was at stake seeing him swing was a feeling I can’t even describe. One away!!!

  3. I'm from Northern California and I've only been supporting two teams this post-season, the Yankees and Mariners. I really hope to see Mariners in their first ever World Series.

  5. Poor Seattle. They’re going to get thoroughly embarrassed by the Dodgers. I’m happy that Canada ends up getting nothing out of their trip to America. So fitting. 🇺🇸

  6. This year the Seattle Mariners are determined to make history, that's if and when they advance to the World Series.

The return of Eugenio Suarez has something to do with the team's success. In this video, we'd see Suarez, a native of Puerto Ordaz (in Bolivar State) Venezuela, with compatriot Leo Rivas, a native of Maracay, Aragua State.

The Mariners' success is having an impact on business and tourism. There has been more guests at hotels and more visitors to tourist attractions which include the iconic Space Needle.

  7. One more win. Beat Toronto and then beat LA. Go Mariners, go Cal and Gino. Love you guys. Get to the World Series, beat LA and make this Phillies fan very happy. To take an old phrase from Tug McGraw…YA GOTTA BELIEVE!!!❤
