Looks like Cam Payne didn't make enough of an impression to make the roster. The Pacers moved off Delon Wright pretty quickly, and it was thought that could be injury related, but Carlisle said he "just didn't work out" with Indiana.
Payne got his chance but struggled with his efficiency and Taelon Peter has made a case for himself to potentially get real minutes at the outset of the season. Looks as if the Pacers are gonna go with Peter and QJax (if healthy) perhaps at the backup ballhandler spot, could also see Sheppard get time there, and we'll probably also see lineups without a traditional PG and they kinda go by committee.
I'm a little surprised they decided to keep all four centers for right now. I think you can make the argument they all bring something different to the table but I don't think Wiseman honestly made a major case for a roster spot. But having the options I guess counts for something. We'll see if there are more changes to come.

Lololol
Point God Jarace incoming
Thank the lord
unfortunately though we need a point guard. Quenton Jackson will probably take that role
He seems a nice guy but his play style is so ugly its hard to root for him.
I’m fine if we waive all the centers too
Let’s go, Q
Interesting they do this after last night, where they tried no point guard in the lineup. I wonder if they have plans to waive a center and sign a different guard, or if they think we can thug it out without a PG in certain lineups
I imagine Delon learned about the Beep test the hard way. If he wasn’t in tip top shape he wouldn’t fit in. Ditto Cam Payne.
We will play some big centers where Wiseman may be very needed.
Defensively I like the idea of Drew, Taelon, Quenton, and Shep taking turns being demons on the ball/point of attack. Great way to rest Drew and TJ but still attempt to maintain the full court pressure that defined us last year.
