hit from Fantilian behind the goal and a shot from Jenner as well. Visible edge here early

There he scores. Ken Johnson with the finish. Boon Jenner set the tempo and Fantelli 
comes out goes to work. Good hit there early in the ship and then Ken Johnson 
cleans that up. Nice job by Fantully to take that hit on the wall too. The puck ends 
up and tonight it’s in the back of the net. And now it’s Diego Tinov. His second game of the 
season made his season debut on Thursday night. Dante Fabro straight away to Severson off the 
outside of the post. Pops over to Worenski. 57 seconds to go. The bench minor to Tampa Bay for 
two men on the ice. Carro Marenko as their long power play goal this year. He fires off the 
post. Neil Lillberg went down chipped out of the zone by Hegel. Over skated by Dicki. And here 
come the Jackets again with Jenner. Jenner along with Vantilli. Out of Vanilli right there trying 
to wrist it in. It’s loose. Daniel Hunson able to slide across as Pro came in with a glorious 
chance. The small area games very competitive spirited practice. Moretski wristster loose puck 
in front and was off the pad of Johansson in the early stages of the year. Only Buffalo has 
been worse and that was in a strength for the Blue Jackets. Good face off numbers for Londrom 
and Coil to the newcomers. This puck is nudged across and working his way in. Mcdana shoots 
and scores off the glove of Greavves and in. Ryan Mcdana down the wing ties the game 
up at one. So look at this one as Mcdana, the defensive defenseman. The past couple shifts 
for Tampa. They’re getting the defenseman the ball. There he comes on the scene. I’m not sure if 
that went off the stick of Jenner or not. Have to take a closer look here. Oh, that looks like it’s 
straight in there and just fooled Jet Greaves who thought he had it. Late reaction with the glove 
right under the stick and right by the ear. You can see how Jet had to bend that elbow to try 
to get that in the webbing of the glove. and he looks back. Keep an eye on Headman here. He’s 
usually shoot first. [Music] Got Braden Point, one of the best guys in that bumper spot in the high 
slot. Celli is in front and you got Jake Gensel in front looking for Celli. He scores. Anthony 
Selli on the setup from Gensel. Power play goal. Lightning up 2-1. Oliver Bjorkstran out there on 
the power play. You can see a little shift there to move guys over. And then everybody’s focused 
on Point. You said it. Point’s one of the best bumper guys. And as Celli does a really good 
job of getting on the inside of Prov here. See, they’re leaving him alone. And as Prov comes in 
to contest this puck, he’s on the back side of it. And that puck bounces to Celli’s backhand. And he 
just has to shovel it up over that pad and glove. uh when you get behind the bench as a coach, 
you know, you don’t have that kind of like uh uh time that you do as a player. So, uh 
uh it was a pretty cherished memory. So, I still have a lot of fans in 
the area that do that as well. And Kevin, you were the veteran player coming 
here to Columbus after all those years in Hartford and Philadelphia. What was it like to be 
in that role? Well, it was it was I mean to me, you know, your original comment uh Jody about 
getting through the neutral zone I think is really valid. There we go. Olivier denied by 
Hansson. Right on time. Dino how to act. Boy, he’s a great example. It still is for me in my 
life. Here’s Cole Cinger. And now Olivier. Olivier shot deflection. Cylinger doesn’t go. squirts to 
the side of the goal. Connor Geeki gets it to open ice. Knocked on by Marenko to Christensen. Delays 
eats it back down low for Veronov. His centering passing tied up was Monahan. Back to the net goes 
in. They score and they tie the game. Determined brand of hockey. Puck goes behind the net here and 
that forces everyone from the Tampa to kind of get low and look behind the net. And look who’s 
right there as Monahan goes to get that puck in as it comes back out. That clearing attempt 
goes wrong. That’s going to be Monahan’s goal as Tampa gets the puck. Monahan’s going to take this 
on the top of your screen and try to jam it in. Yeah, that came out. That’s offside. That’s the 
blue line camera. That’s the definitive look and it’s going to come off the board. 
After coach’s challenge video review, it was determined that 11:09 
the play was offside. No goal. First fight of the year after 15 last season. Sally to the net and that’s going 
to be the first shot on goal of the period for the Tampa Bay Lightning. 
Also like what he said Matthew Olivier drive score Damon Severson top 
he’s tied the game up at two. It’s one of play and it starts away from the 
puck. Nice little play by Matthew Olivier there to set it up for Coyle and then he’s going to 
get it back and look at this. Nice little pass by him to the defenseman Damon Severson up 
in the rush. He’s just wants to get this off quickly and as he does against the green, he’s on 
the board here for the Blue Jackets. Ties it up. He’s had a really good start to the year. But how 
about Matthew Olivier in that interview? You could tell this team is called Power play chance 
number two tonight for the Blue Jackets. Oh, Heaggle in is Warki holding on. 
Pass across. That’s a rebound. No, Adam Bentilli. Hegel goes to poke that puck one 
hand and Zach Winsky says thank you very much. Beautiful pass across and keep an eye on 19. Oh, 
again we’ve seen a couple of those reactions from Fanti where he’s on the doorstep and sees 
a lot of the net, but there Johansson. Wow. He battles and he was going the flex well 
wide of Greed. Players are jockeying in front. Pick off by Warenski trying to 
take off. Get something going for the Blue Jackets. Over the line is Veronov 
to the middle. Marenko, nice move. He fires. He scores. Guil Marenko. [Applause] 
What a snipe. Zack gets him back on top. Great buddies. Zack Winsky is going to be in 
a position here in front of the net. Breaks it up and then he gets moving. He’s up the 
ice. He sees his options. That just kills the play in that transition to the neutral zone. 
And how about this? Marenko’s strength there. The back check there right there. Gonzalez knows 
he’s got to let him go now or take a penalty. And as he lets him go, Marenko says, “Thank you very 
much.” Blocked by Cylinger. Churn to Jake Gensel. Gensel walking out on the back hand denied by 
Greavves. Sprol made the save. Gensel leans in for Tampa Bay. Tap to the point. Radish slides 
it over to Headman. Darren Radish is there. for Anthony Celli wrist rattles around in front. 
Breeze keeps it out and whack away and the whistle sounds. Jackets win another one up over 
56% on the draw but the Lightning have control. Here’s Hegel. A wrist shot fought off by Green. 
7 seconds to go. Cuts in front. Heel a chance. It’s blocked by Olivier Headman blocked by 
Prover. Two seconds and one. Jackets win.
