First bit of news from the Yankees since they got eliminated. Two coaches not returning. It said the word fired, but sometimes their contracts are up and they’re just not coming back. I don’t know what to be the case here. I didn’t look into it. I’m being ordered to lay down in the sleeping bag right now, but I’m a bit surprised by Mike Harky, the bullpen coach, because he’s been there forever and is friends with everyone. So maybe his just contracts up or something happened behind the scenes. Maybe he like went into a meeting one time and was like, “Maybe we stopped playing Vulpy.” And they were like, “You’re out of here, dude. Tow the company line. This kid starting.” That was a joke. Uh, probably not what happened. We have no idea. Sucks that two guys lost their jobs. That’s not fun. Travis Chapman, first base coach. If you go back to that Dodgers report after the World Series where they said the scouting report was that the Yankees get the worst leads in Major League Baseball and that the infielders have no idea where to be when the throw is coming from the outfield and they’re bad at shifting. Those are all of Chapman’s jobs. Who knows if he actually is coming up with the research and the data to perform those jobs or if he’s just getting stuff passed down to him and being told to implement him, implement them. But I’ve been talking about for two years how bad the Yankees infield is when a ball is coming in from the outfield. They’re just terrible. And um they just do the same two shifts no matter what the batter is. They just do the same. There’s lefty, we do this. Righty, we do this. Um, and so I’ve been complaining about the things that fall under his jurisdiction for a while. I doubt that’s the reason because who knows if he even has any say in that matter. We know nothing.
