Major Reinforcements INCOMING to Upgrade Arizona Cardinals Roster
The Arizona Cardinals now two and two after their Thursday night football loss and things are looking down, but they could have some reinforcements come into play real soon. Bo Brock, Johnny Venerable, Johnny. Yeah, sure. Doom and gloom after a loss, but Cardinals roster could get a little bit stronger here real quick. Yeah, you’ve got Walter Nolan, the 16th overall pick, who’s poised to begin practicing as early as next week. He’s coming off its eligibility period for PUP as he’s been out of action dating back to right before training camp when he hurt his hamstring. We have not seen the 16th overall pick, the standout since then. But good news is he’s had ample time to recover. And yes, the Cardinals may be two and two, but their defense has done by and large a nice job with the absence of Nolan. You’ve got Darius Robinson fresh off a sack, of course, Josh Schwe, Kas Campbell, Dvin Tomlinson. So I would imagine Walter Nolan coming back practicing with probably a two-eek window to activate him as early as maybe Green Bay Indianapolis. Yeah, the key there as you mentioned like missed all of training camp. This is a guy who hasn’t played since he played collegiately. Uh the senior bowl was the last time he was getting anything that resembled reps outside of OTAAS and mandatory mini camp. So Walter Nolan’s going to need a little bit of runway to get ready and like you can never use enough defensive linemen. They lost a good one in LJ Collier. You add the 16th overall pick. Can he generate more pressure? Can this defense get better? Absolutely. With the addition potentially of Walter Nolan, we’re looking at two weeks from now maybe looking at that Green Bay Packers game after that calf injury just like Darius Robinson the previous season. Uh it’s one of those ones you don’t want to discount, you know, the the road getting back. Also, you could look at the Arizona Cardinals activating from PUP. Who would be eligible? thirdyear pass rusher BJ Ojelari. I know that’s a bigger almost a bigger question mark, Johnny, because this is a guy that’s dealt with injuries now in all of his seasons. Like he had the knee procedure the year he was drafted, wasn’t at full strength his rookie year, then there was high expectations going into year two. It’s been a well over a calendar year when he tore his ACL that wiped out his entire second season. But what can you even expect from the former second round pick for the Cardinals? Slow slow start. They don’t need him. Uh, and that’s a good thing for Ojelari. You don’t have to rush him back. Let him play, you know, on special teams if they need him to. Let him be a rotational guy. I mean, they’re already sitting Xavier Thomas who has nice pass rush abilities, who is a good special teamer. Like I don’t think there’s any guarantee like Ojelari is going to be active. I I think it’s been that big a fall from Grace. Sweat’s been fantastic. Baron Browning’s been unbelievable. Zavan’s a good player for what he is, especially against the run. And then Jordan Burch every week is improving. It’s it’s a group that I think Bjoari is gonna have to force the issue. They’re gonna have to see something from him in practice where it’s just like we need some of that on game day. It’s just I’m happy for the young man that hopefully his time is finally coming where he can practice with his teammates because Bo when we saw him even at training camp in August, he he had a long way to go. So, uh again, we don’t know if he’s going to be one of the people activated. I think Walter Nolan certainly is closer. Ojelari coming off an ACL and again like look at Brandon Iayuk who tore his ACL last year. John Lynch say he’s not even close to being ready to come back. So all these timelines are different but I think Ojelari like check back after Halloween to see if he’s got an opportunity to contribute. Yeah, there’s the other two guys who are eligible to come off their respective injury list that aren’t there aren’t any expectations. the two big defensive additions from the previous off season and uh Bal Nichols and Justin Jones. One was on pup, one was on IR. I think those guys remain to be stash there, break glass in case of emergency, but their practice window would be eligible to be open. I don’t think that happens just because you don’t know if you need them or not. And then we’ll get to the guys who are on the active roster that have been out uh the last couple weeks. The two Wills, Johnny, because you look at Will Johnson and what he could add back to this defensive secondary could add a ball hawking defensive back that we’ve seen glimpses of early in his career. I think that would just juice up what you want to do is try to get your hands on the football. Will her Will Johnson has an opportunity to play against Tennessee. Do they need him? Probably not. But again, you need him to have reps. Like you need him to play to get better. And if he’s healthy, put him out there. He was one of the best quarterbacks in the NFL before his injury. He was outstanding against Carolina. He was outstanding against New Orleans. He’s a physical player and he’s he’s got an opportunity to get his hands on footballs, which the Cardinals need right now with their struggling offense. And then on the flip side, Will Hernandez, I have taken a 180 on this approach. They signed him as a luxury pick because they projected Evan Brown carrying over to what he did last year. Quality player. And then Isaiah Adams, the third rounder in 2024 out of Illinois. It’s like he’s going to take the next jump. Two of the biggest disappointments on the team are their two starting guards right now. So, if Will Hernandez is in shape and that’s a big if and he feels good and he can get to that second level, then I think you have to consider benching one of of your starting guards. I couldn’t tell you who. I think in in retrospect it might be Evan Brown just because you have more invested in Isaiah Adams. You want him to continue playing and try to get better. But I mean, they they can’t run the football inside and they’re susceptible to pressure with Kyler Murray up the middle. I mean, that that’s a week- toeek thing that started right now and and Willer Hernandez is a damn good player when he plays. It’s an option, right? And you you want to at least have options to turn to when you got players that are that are struggling. Who do you think could make the biggest impact coming back from injuries for the Cardinals? 16th overall pick, Walter Nolan, BJ Oelari. Is it Will Johnson, Subzero, or Miho? Let us know in the comments. Drop a like.
The Arizona Cardinals could be getting a huge boost soon with the return of rookie DT Walter Nolen and standout CB Will Johnson. Both Cards young defenders are close to hitting the field, and their presence could completely reshape Jonathan Gannonโs defense. What impact will Nolen and Johnson have when they join the lineup, and how quickly can they help the Cardinals turn things around?

I was just thinking for the next draft day maybe in the 2026. I hope Arizona Cardinals move on from Kyler Murray and get a new QBโฆ.player that Iโm thinking is ASU QB โฆSam Leavitt ๐ช๐ผ๐๐ต๐ฅ๐ฅ๐ฅ he looks very darn good.๐๐ผ heโs 6โ2 and fast on his feet and great passing. I hate to bash on Kyler Murray but this guy is better.
Glad for that. Now we just have to get Marv off the ground from start to finish. Tennessee is a MUST.
Also, work on our blocks so we donโt have to abandon the run apparently.
Burch stalemated by the Seahawks for the first time this year.
Evan Brown was very unlikely to continue improving. Limited athletically. Thought his contract was a little rich for treading water. Surprised by his regression, though
Kurt Warner just posted a one hour analysis of the Cards game here on YT. "StudyBall Cardinals Wk 4"
I sure hope Gannon and Petzing watch. Or just bring him out to the facility for a week.
Can't wait for Walter to play
Hernandez G Need Him Now!
Anyone who has watched the Cards play this season would have to know that Isaiah Adams has been a disaster. Dont know how you could even say that Evan Brown would be benched instead of Adams. Not to mention that fact that Hernandez has played on the right side for Arizona. Maybe Johnny should just admit that he was completely wrong, saying that Adams would be serviceable
We donโt need reinforcements. We need a real OC and possibly Brissett throwing the ball ๐ฏ
We need to start Beechum over Williams at right tackle
WTF jobo are you even saying?…the major help needed is on the offensive side of the ball. Mijo is a welcome back….but much, much more is needed…STAT…like yesterday.
Offense ? 3yrs in the system. No progress. Dumb weak team.
I cannot watch the Cardinals anymore for the sake of my mental health. The off-season hype was just that – hype. The build-up turned into a big let down. The only decent thing about the team is the defense which can be attributed to a very good DEF Coordinator. Everyone else is ๐. The Offensive Coordinator needs to polish up his resume to work the concession stands or pickong up garbage because that is the only job he's qualified for. If the Cardinals were smart they would sign Calais to another 2 year extension because he won them games early. I'm watching another team because I can not take another disappointing season.
Way to late. U can also guess Hernandez might be a starter ๐!!! Bunch of maybes๐ ๐ ๐
Wouldn't mind see bechum,Hernandez, pairis, and froldholt on the line together
Nah ojulari in rotation is a must if possible browning and sweat has been decent but I think ojulari speed helps cards as the pass rush sees a let down after those top 2! Burch is getting there long way to go though drob is already getting his feet under him for the season once Nolan is ready im not sure there's a better dline in the nfl if Nolan hits that said 2 and 2 cards have the talent if we dont make playoffs there better be some changes to oc cuase thats the problem we were promised coaches who would adapt to what are players do best haven't got that yet drops aside the wr group is more than capable
The offens needs to come back from injury i think drew fractured it last year๐ hopefully it fully heals soon cause there some big games left to be had
Will Johnson
Hernandez should have been starting. Isaiah Adams has been a disaster as I predicted. We need competent guard play one OL.
I think Darius is a bust
Saw a couple clips of will running. And that knee did not look comfortable yet imo
The Cards are experts at choking. No matter how good they start, they always choke by the latter half of the season.
