Also I wonder if part of the reason our offense looked extra bad the first 3 games is because we played the 3rd, 6th and 7th goalies on this list
At least in the opener I only really faulted Lyon for one of the goals. He’s played really well and it shows even more when he’s supported by his team.
Would think his stats can get even better when Kesselring returns. He was week to week two weeks ago right? Hope to see him soon.
He’s been putting 100% into every game and really happy the team in front finally got him some wins. This stat and shutting out Florida are well deserved.
That was a roundabout route, but we may have found a bonafide #1 goalie.
I don’t think I’ve ever seen lateral movement much quicker than he has. It’s amazing actually.
I’m still not 100% bought in but if there’s a scenario where they get in the wild card this year, having Lyon play like this is 100% part of that recipe.
He played lights out against Florida, but what I’d say is that the high danger chances weren’t as dangerous as they would seem based on shot location.
Lots of chips, contested shots in front of the net. Very little wide open shooters in the slot.
