Spencer Rattler had his chances and has been mid/ass, especially today with 4 turnovers. It's time to move on. Let's see what we got in the rook.

  1. Are you kidding, we can keep watching rattler go with the first read and throw an interception while a receiver is streaking open down field.

  2. Im telling you rn, young qbs make mistakes coming from a bengals fan. Let him develop. I promise you tyler shough isnt good. He’s had one bad game this year. There’s flashes. Let him play and learn.

  3. This is Ian Book all over again. Yall are gonna cry for Shough then be shocked when he’s also ass

This is not a good team. Jesus christ himself could be under center and it wouldn’t mean shit if nobody blocks for him and our defense can’t stop giving up 20+ points a game

  4. It’s not, it’s 1 bad game, but I’m honestly intrigued to see what happens after this.

Let’s say Rattler puts up another bad game..This is a scenario where you’d go give the other QB. Shot, if Rattler starts the next game does it say more about how much the coaching trust Rattler or how they feel about Shough.

Looking at our schedule I don’t think Shough might really start a game until the panthers game

  5. You can’t have Shough’s 1st game be against Tampa. Thats not fair to him, Rattler or the team. This is definitely a horrendous data point, but the potential change probably has to wait until the bye week at this point.

  6. The thing is even on Rattlers good games aren’t great, they’re just not bad, I think he’s allergic to numbers over 20

  7. At this point Rattler shouldn’t come out no matter what. We’re already 1-6, so put him out there for the remainder of the season and see what happens. Then if it goes the way most of us think it will, install Shough as the starter next season and repeat. Then we can reload in the next draft, see if Shough is the guy, and if he isn’t then we’ll probably have another top pick in 2027 where we can see how the QB class shakes out.

  8. Shough isn’t the answer. I know I will
Be downvoted but he ain’t saving this team with those happy feet.

  9. Idk man. I’ve been pulling for Rattler hard. But it’s hard to keep doing it with these performances.

  10. It’s not Rattlers fault.

You could put prime Tom Brady behind center for this team and we aren’t any better…

  11. Man to think I was defending Rattler yesterday saying he just needed better blocking. I feel like a dumbass today.

  12. So stupid lol the QB competition was actually in camp and the preseason – seems like you missed it. Rattler is the QB. Build a bridge and get over it

  13. And when he sucks, then what?

The truth is simple: we suck, and we are not going to win many games this year or likely next. It’s a necessary evil that’s long overdue to clear cap and get high draft picks

  14. If Shough was showing potential to be better in practice, do you not think they would put him in? Clearly, the coaching staff doesn’t think he will be an improvement just yet.

  15. I got shit for this take on a comment on a separate post. Thanks for your logical thinking. Make it at least look like we aren’t trying to get a top 3 pick

    Edit: Taysom hill?

  16. As a Bucs fan, I absolutely love seeing the Saints fanbase divided over the fierce QB battle between…Tyler Shough and Spencer Rattlee lmao

  17. I don’t understand the loyalty to Rattler, and I’m not saying this as a Shough stan either. He’s shown he is average at best, he’s got some moxy and he’s tough as nails, I don’t hate the guy and I’m not rooting against him, but his struggles with accuracy lead to games like this, his first int was 100% on him he threw a pass behind the wr across the middle. Keep him in as long as the coaching staff wants to, I’m good with that. But at some point this season we need to see Shough out there in game conditions to see what he’s got.

The investment with him is there. We spent a top 40 pick on him and we need to see what he’s capable of. I agree based off pre-season my hopes aren’t high. But you don’t draft a guy at 40 to never play him. The reality is we likely don’t have our franchise QB on the roster, but Shough deserves a chance to compete with the starters in a real game at some point this year, especially in a lost year.

And enough with the comparisons to Garret Grayson and Ian book. These are not the same.

  18. People still running PR for Rattler but isn’t this the purpose of a backup. If the first one is either hurt or isn’t playing up to standard wouldn’t that make Shough a waste of a roster spot. At some point you got to acknowledge a losing battle and use the guy you drafted for his purpose.

We will atleast get tape on multiple games to see if we got to draft a new guy high or build around what we have.

Building in anticipation of a player isn’t going to cut it we need to establish if we have a guy or not because clearly rattler isn’t him.

  19. It’s not even that I think he will be any better, winning doesn’t matter too much anymore. I just want to see what he is capable of, and we won’t ever know until he gets a chance. Rattler has had almost a full season of starts by now and at times has looked competent, and others incapable. It’s such a mixed bag but you have to see what Shough is able to do. If he struggles as well and blows his chance than at least we know that we need to draft another QB next year.

  20. Not a saints fan but this just popped up on my feed; has Rattler been that bad? Last time I saw his numbers I thought they looked decent

  21. While that may or may not be true, it’s absolutely obvious that it’s time for the fucking GOLD PANTS!

  22. Shough in there I bet you’re getting twice as many sacks. Rattler is constantly throwing behind his receivers, I don’t think he’s great, but I don’t think Shough is that much better. And I REALLY don’t think swapping out QBs on a whim is how you build team identity, not to mention leadership for either quarterback.

  23. At this rate I hope they give Tyler a shot. So when he shits the bed. Y’all can all come run back here and just talk about how shit of a team we have. We just played the coach who knows our player tendencies 😂. Tyler film doesn’t lie at all. Those injuries are in the back of his mind like a fat kid on a no sugar diet. He literally showed in college and in the preseason, and some of his throws are so off the mark. For our sake I HOPE HE IS THE FUTURE. he only got 6 years until he can retire from the nfl he’s 27 now 😂

  24. Shough would not have won that game. With our team rn, most QB’s in the league probably wouldn’t have done much different than snake man
