Uh just how’d you see that one? They obviously were very motivated to play a good defensive game and they did that. Yeah. Yeah, they played they played well. I thought it was a real tight- checking game for the first uh you know 25 30 minutes. U you know I I liked our game in the first halfway through the second. We’re fine. They got the first goal is one of those games that first goal is going to give a team a lot of momentum. Uh they they got the first one. Uh then you know a series of of plays there. We didn’t win a lot of draws and um um in the third I thought we pushed back hard to get to get the one but uh you know whatever you’re down to uh going into the third it’s not a great recipe. So uh some good things there. Uh certainly some puck play that has to be uh you know our our our turnover rate is is too high right now and uh it’s it’s hard to win that way. Do you see anything on faceoffs or tonight was a rare you’ve been very good up to tonight. Tonight was I don’t know if that’s competition or if that actually is strategy. You know what? They got a couple good righties in the circle. When you ice a couple pucks and they get their guys out there, they can get in and they got the momentum and that’s when we dipped a little bit. Um it was pretty even before that. They’re a good faceoff team, too. Um so it was pretty even, but then when they got the momentum, they seem to take it over on the draws and had a couple chances off faceoffs just uh you know it was extended zone time. So uh that’s when you really got to dig in and try to stop that momentum. But um uh you know it was a little bit of a you know we always say it’s a race to three in this league and they got there and we we we didn’t. So um you know there are some good things here tonight. Uh I thought our battle level was higher. Uh I thought we won more 50/50 pucks. Um playing a good team but uh uh we certainly have to clean up our puck play. Did you see anything from Duchain coming back after missing the game? Yeah, you know I thought he skated well. I thought he skated well and um he’s just getting back so it was good. It’s good that he played and he’s he’s feeling healthy and uh I thought uh a few guys skated well. I thought Maverick skated well. Um so um we just need everybody to just up their level a bit and clean up the puck play. We didn’t ask this morning. How’s Lquist? Any update there? Uh we’re still waiting. We think he’s going to be out for a little bit with a lower body injury. I’m not sure on the time frame. Uh we’ll know more when we get back to Dallas. uh and talk with everybody there. Thanks. Thanks. I guess first off, how do you feel just the recovery from that hit the other night? Yeah, it’s fine. Um yeah, I mean tough tough sledding there. Obviously, it’s a car accident type thing and few there’s still some effects of it, but uh you know, nothing that kind of nothing that hurt me out there tonight and nothing that hampered my game. How did you see this game? I think it was pretty even through one and then uh pretty even until they got that first goal and then uh you know they just kind of took over. We didn’t break out well enough tonight uh as a as a group, fiveman group. Um they did a good job you know not letting us get any flow. They’re a tough team to play against. Every game we play against them is 2-1 or what you know whatever. Um we knew what to expect coming in and uh we got on the wrong side of it tonight. We talked about situation they motivated. They obviously are coming off a game where they really wanted to be good defensively and it it looked like it out there and does that make it harder when they’re that motivated? Um I mean we knew what to expect. We and we should have you know been motivated too I guess and obviously I didn’t play the last game but uh I know that you know the talk was that we wanted to be better and um you know it was give them credit they played a good game but we you know we got we got more than that. What do you see after what is it six games now? I know it’s early in the season. Just what do you guys have to do? It seems like everything’s different every game and that’s that’s the nature of this early in the season it seems like. Yeah, we’re we’re learning new some new stuff and we’re you know obviously there’s a there’s a few changes that we’re still getting used to and uh we’ll just keep working. Thank you. Thank you. Yeah, we knew it’s a tough tough building to play in, you know, and uh they were probably frustrated, you know, and uh they wish to brought the best best game they they had and uh uh yeah, uh I think we didn’t respond properly and uh I think we had to do better. Was that maybe the hardest game you guys have had? Seems like this was a game where you it really was tough to get anything going compared to the other four you’ve had. I would say it was similar game from uh when we played in Colorado, but uh in Colorado uh we found way to win. We found a way to score more goals, you know. Uh they were defending really well and uh yeah, we have to do a better job. Uh second period’s last game, a little bit of a rough spot. This one a little bit of a rough spot. Do you see anything any trend or is it just two games? It’s just two games, but uh I agree with uh uh we probably didn’t have uh one game with full 60 minutes like having good game, you know. So we we need to fix that. And then what was like in the cheer? Obviously you had a a nice year here last year, right? Okay. Sorry. Uh yeah, you know, I played with most of the guys last year, you know, uh uh you you find some new friends, you know, you got some friendship going on. So obviously it’s a little bit weird to play against like especially the first game, but uh especially here at St. I don’t know, you know, but uh yeah, I’m sad we didn’t find find a way to to get at least a point, you know. Uh but we have to learn from that and be better for next games. Thank you. Thank you. They were obviously, you know, motivated, I think, off their last game to play really good defensive hockey and seems like they clamped things down pretty pretty well. Yeah, I think they came out very hard, but I think like first and third period were pretty even and I think the second period made the difference today. like once they got the goal, they got some momentum and it was tough and in the second we tried to come back and but came short today. Uh the last game, second period was the same. Is there anything in there that you guys see? I know it’s a long change. Uh but you you faced it before. It just seems like this is backto-back games where the second hasn’t been very good. just I well probably the snowball effect kind of is a good way to say it kind of if you get in the or the other team gets the momentum and keeps they get fresh guys our ships gets longer so it’s harder to defend and that way obviously the momentum builds up and we just need to work that and find a way to turn it to our advantage How do you guys see this after five games? It just every game seems to be different. I don’t know how you adjust to all that. It’s just that’s early in the season it seems like. Yeah. Uh probably every game has showed something different. We can be better and then just you know it’s beginning of the season and I heard Dutchy mentioned that just keep working and that’s all we can do to improve our game. Great. Thank you. Thanks.
