Tennessee Titans SAME OLD CRAP as Mike Vrabel’s Patriots DOMINATE & Cam Ward is a MAJOR PROBLEM
The Tennessee Titans get stomped in the same way they’ve been getting beat all year long, but this time Cam Ward’s problems just keep on going. And that’s the worst part about this loss. That more on today’s edition of Locked on Titans. You are Locked on Titans, your daily Tennessee Titans podcast, part of the Locked On podcast network. your team every day. The Tennessee Titans just keep getting beat in the same exact ways over and over and over again. and Brian Callahan may be gone, but this team looks like the same old crap that we’ve seen all along. The worst part is though, Cam Ward is becoming a big part of the issue with this team and not part of the solution. But it’s not just Cam because look around at the players on the field and you’ll see just how terrible this team is and how far away they are from being good. Now, before we dive into anything, do want to thank you for making Locked on Titans your first listen each and every day. Remember, Monday through Friday, Tennessee Titans content all year round, always for free. Make sure that you get subscribed, stay subscribed. It’s your team every day. Speaking of everyday, shout out to my everydayers out there tuning in Monday through Friday. Couldn’t do it without you guys. If you aren’t an everydayer, you need to be one because this team can’t get any worse than they are right now. And as they start to build back up, you’re going to want to stay locked in with the Locked on Titans podcast. But with all that being said, again, Brian Callahan may have been fired, but that’s the same old terrible Tennessee Titans team that we’ve come to see all season long. And look, they fooled you for a minute, didn’t they? That first quarter, they come out, they put up 10 points. They make some plays. You’re thinking, “Hey, all right, 13- 10, the Titans are in a good spot.” And it lasted for about 28 minutes. 28 minutes. The Titans looked like a decent team before it all came crumbling down. Starts with just another again, it’s the same old same old crap from this team. What has been a problem for this team all year long before halftime? Before halftime, they absolutely crumble. And a lot of that has to do with Mike McCoy. What are we doing? You know, I I I like first Joey Slide kicks the ball out of bounds, gives the Patriots easing easy starting field position. Then Legius Sneed and Quandre Diggs, two absolutely washed and slow defensive backs, get beat by Kahan Booty, who’s not even a burner, you know what I mean? Get beat down the field and give up the touchdown. Then the Titans have three timeouts, 50 seconds. Cam Ward’s in a rhythm and they run the football and then they run the clock down to 25 seconds before they run a play on second down and they don’t even use their timeouts in the first half. They didn’t even use them. They just took them to halftime with them. So once again, like we’ve seen all year, you can get rid of Brian Callahan, but it looked like Brian Callahan was still out there running the team because the Titans once again went coward mode right before halftime and just go into halftime like, “Oh, okay. We’ll just go in with the Patriots winning 17 to3 and the Patriots get the ball.” And what do the Patriots do? What good teams do? They double up at halftime. This is why receiving the ball to start the football game is the is the sign of an idiot. You are an absolute If you take the ball to start a football game and you win the toss, you’re an idiot. There’s no way around it. Because the halftime double up is one of the deadliest things in football. And what does Mike Vrabel’s team do? What a good football team does. They get a touchdown before halftime. They get the ball. They come out. They get a touchdown again. Now, in the blink of an eye, you were up 13-10. And now you’re down 24-13 and the game is basically over. But if the game wasn’t over yet, Cam Ward made sure that the game was over. Cam Ward handed the ball to the Patriots and said, “Here, have seven points.” You know, earlier in the season, I joked around that we got to get Pablo Tore to investigate Brian Callahan. We got to get Cam Ward investigated at this point. Like Cam Ward is shaving points every single week and giving free touchdowns to the other team. He has gone full Will Levvice on us, folks. Cam Ward has gone full Will Levvice, and we’ll talk in depth about Cam Ward here in just a moment, but that’s just part of the classic Titans experience. Now, the quarterback is going to do stupid stuff and give the game away. The Titans offensive line is going to crater against a defensive line that’s not even that good. The Patriots have an okay pass rush. It’s like the Colts. The Colts have an okay pass rush. It’s not that great, but the Titans make it look like all stars out there. Tons of sacks. And then on the other side, yeah, the Titans actually had a decent amount of sacks in this game. They got four sacks in this game. But for waves of the game and long stretches of the game, the Titans have no pass rush whatsoever. And Drake May is just sitting back there playing on easy mode. I mean, look at Drake May’s numbers. 21 for 23, 222 yards, two touchdowns, zero interceptions. ran for 62 yards as well. Like Drake May was absolutely incredible and the Titans didn’t make him ve didn’t make it very difficult on him at all. And not only that, pass rush bad pass blocking bad quarterback with bad turnovers, conservative cowardly play calling and critical moments where you have to be aggressive. We get bad run defense. The Titans can’t run the football. What more do you want? You know what more do you want? It’s the full Titans experience out there. This is the same old same old crap team that we’ve seen all year. And firing the head coach, like I talked about, Brian Callahan needed to be fired. Okay, that’s one statement. Brian Callahan absolutely needed to be fired. But that doesn’t mean that this team is all of a sudden going to be good. I thought this game would be 31-10. That was my prediction cuz I knew coming into this game the Titans had no chance. whatsoever to win this football game. And it ended up being 31 to13. They scored three more points than I thought that they were going to get. Thank you, Chim DK. But like again, it’s just the same old same old crap every single week. And if I have to watch Cody Barton sit 10 yards back on a third and four in zone again, I’m gonna rip my hair out. Now, I I don’t mean it. I would never do that to this lovely flow that I got going on. And I would never do that. But I’m serious. How many times this year can we see Cody Barton back off 10 yards on a third and short and give an easy completion to a quarterback? Like, why do we keep doing this? How does this continue over and over and over again? You know, it’s just insane. And I come on here every week and I try to talk to you guys about, you know, what the team should do, how the game went, but it’s just the same thing. The quarterback is throwing the game. The offensive line is terrible. The wide receivers can’t separate. The defense can’t stop a nosebleleed. They can’t get to the quarterback. The best players suck or hurt every single game. It’s just the same old team with conservative coaching over and over and over again. You know, we’re in week seven and it’s just the same every single week. I don’t know how else to break it down. And the thing is, I don’t see it getting better anytime soon. I truly do think that this team wins two games at Max this year. They might win one more game this year, but that is the most that they have a chance to win. And let’s be honest, it’s time to be honest. Cam Ward is a part of the problem, not part of the solution right now. Do want to let you guys know that today’s episode is brought to you by Ripling. If you’re a business owner, here’s the truth. Titans fans, let’s continue today’s edition of the Locked on Titans podcast. Breaking down the Tennessee Titans massive loss to the New England Patriots 31 to13. Game went about how I expected except for the Titans playing a little bit better in the fourth quarter. Again, same old same old Tennessee Titans. The same problems they’ve had all year were the same problems they’ve had in this game. They’re not going away anytime soon. But what are the realities that we all have to face here? And quite frankly, if you weren’t willing to accept this and you weren’t willing to be honest, I simply don’t respect you. Like I I don’t respect you as an intelligent adult. I don’t respect you as a football fan. If you can’t admit that Cam Ward is part of the problem right now, does that mean Cam Ward is the only problem? Absolutely not. Does it mean that Cam Ward is the one ruining this football team and he can’t do anything? And listen, the offensive line isn’t good. the coaching is bad, the wide receivers aren’t good, but none of those people are to blame for Cam Ward just dropping the football on the ground all the time. And bro, he is a rookie. Bro, he’s a rookie. That is not an excuse for dropping the football on the ground when you’re not even being touched. That That’s not an excuse for a high school quarterback. That’s not an excuse for a college freshman. There is no excuse for Cam Ward to just drop the football on the ground every freaking game. How many times does he have to do it? It’s Will Levisike. He has gone Will Levvice on us. Like there is no excuse. There’s no blaming the wide receivers, the O line, the coaching, him being a rookie. There are no excuses for Cam Ward just dropping the football out of his hands every single week. That is part of the problem. And listen, it was early in the year, but week two, week two against the Rams, it’s 20-6. And Cam just drops the ball on the ground and gives the Rams a free touchdown. And now it’s 2716 and the game is over. Now, that was game two. There were a lot of other problems. All right, that’s when you say he’s a rookie. All right, that’s a rookie mistake. All right. But he’s continued to do it over and over and over again and it’s fair. People are saying it. He has small hands. He has really small hands. And maybe that is part of the problem. And it’s not just him dropping the ball on the ground. It’s when he gets hit on and it should be a sack, he just drops the ball all the time. That is a problem. That is a serious issue that is killing this football team is Cam Ward’s turnovers. He had turnover problems in college and he has turnover problems now. And look, the the fumbles, the no contact fumbles are egregious and impossible to understand and get over. There is no excuse. But at this point, we have to talk about the accuracy as well. Cam is off on throws very often. And when I talked about him being a gunslinger early in the season, I literally did a short video and I talked about it on this show. Cam Ward’s a gunslinger. He’s not going to be very accurate. He’s not going to be pinpoint accurate. He’s not Tom Brady. He, you know, he’s not Matt Staf. Well, Matthew Stafford is a bad example, so don’t lock me into that. But he’s not one of these pinpoint accurate guys that is going to throw it to the perfect spot all the time. That’s never going to be Cam. But his accuracy is so bad right now that it’s turning into interceptions for other teams because he’s so far behind people. Look at the very first drive of the game. Elocio Manor is wide open on a slant and Camar throws it so far behind him he can’t even get his hands to it. And then Cam touches his chest to say, “My bad.” Okay, bad throws happen every single week. Every the best quarterbacks of all time have bad throws. But patterns are what are a problem. Patterns are what are a problem. And then Cam Ward to Chicka Conquo. Chicka Conquo has to be in the matrix and turn his body back to try to get to the ball. And it goes off his hands and turns into an interception. And you guys are going to get on here and say, “Hit your hands, you should catch it.” That is one of the dumbest things. That is the ultimate casual fan phrase. Casual fans love. If it hit your hands, you should catch it. When they couldn’t catch it, if it came right to their chest, that is a dumb rule. And we have to be honest again. I can’t have like I can’t have conversations with people who can’t admit that Cam Ward’s part of the problem right now. The sidearm throws that get batted at the line of scrimmage. The inaccurate passes that are always behind his wide receivers that turn into interceptions. The phantom strip sack fumbles where he’s not even getting touched and he fumbles the ball away. Like these are unacceptable things. This is a problem. If Will Levvice was doing this stuff, you guys would kill him. You guys would kill Will Lev if he was making these mistakes. So, we have to be honest here. We have to have a modicum of selfrespect and shame and admit that Cam Ward’s playing terrible. Now, there are good throws mixed in. you roll the pocket and do play action on the first drive he’s a or the second drive he’s able to get out on the move and throw but can Cam Ward just win from the pocket. Can Cam Ward just sitt in there like a regular quarterback and throw the football and add in that playmaking ability? I don’t know. I don’t know. It’s been rough. It’s been rough. So, we can all admit both of these things are true. The environment around Cam Ward is bad. But that doesn’t excuse Cam Ward also playing bad himself. Both of those things are true at the same time. The environment is bad, but Cam Ward is playing bad on the things he can control as well. So, you can’t sit here and say it was all Cam Ward’s or all Will Levis’s fault last year because of the stupid mind-numbing turnovers he’s having and then not also criticize Cam Ward for stupid mind-numbing turnovers. So, I don’t know what else to tell you. If you can’t be honest about Cam Ward being part of the problem right now and not the solution, again, I just have no respect for your football conversations there, there’s nothing for me to say back to you because to me it’s childish at the end of the day. It’s it’s immaturity if you’re unable to look at Cam Ward and say, “Yeah, he’s not playing great despite the environmental factors.” Now, speaking of the environment, like all of the Titans quote unquote best players are hurt or terrible. Legarius Sneed terrible all game and then hurt. Jeffrey Simmons now hurt. And I’m worried that it’s a hamstring tear cuz he knew that he was out immediately after he got hurt with the hamstring injury. Cody Barton supposed to be a leader at linebacker. Cody Barton is a disaster, folks. Cody Barton is absolutely terrible. He has been awful this year. JC Laam, top seven pick. Arius Mims just got done shutting down TJ Watt. JC Laam couldn’t block me out there. Dan Moore getting beat. High paid left tackle. Calvin Ridley hurt. Cam Ward playing bad. Ammani Hooker gets an extension. He’s terrible. Like Titans second round pick. Femolio hurt. Everybody on the team that’s supposed to be any good is either terrible and hurt or just terrible. I How you going to win? What are you going to do again? This team is awful. I like I told you last week. They could fire Brian Callahan and they should fire Brian Callahan because they need to get a head start on their next coach. But I doubt it’s going to change much because this team’s best players are terrible. The rookie quarterback is playing bad and there’s no relief coming in sight. And listen, it goes even deeper than that. Look around at some of the players that are on the field and boy, it’s rough out there. do want to let you guys know that today’s episode is brought to you by Mazda. The Tennessee Titans get beat bad once again, 31-13, this time by the New England Patriots. Mike Vrabel gets his revenge. And at the end of the day, it’s the same old same old crap from the Tennessee Titans football team. Same problems they’ve had all year or the problems that they have now, it’s going to be the problems they have next week and the week after that. And the only week this season the Titans won’t have these problems is their by-week. And one of the biggest problems right now is Cam Ward and this turnover issue because at this point, you can’t blame all the other factors. Cam Ward deserves his fair share of blame as well. But go deeper. than that. The Titans quote unquote best players are all terrible or hurt like I just said. And then go down a step further. Look who’s out on the field. Ali Gay, Jiad Ward, uh, James Lynch, Shai Tuttle, Daryl Baker Jr., Jaylen Armar Davis, Quandre Diggs, Xavier Woods, Van Jefferson, Tyler Lockett, Chicka Conquo. I mean, the roster is so bad from top to bottom. The best players are terrible best players other than Jeffrey Simmons. The depth guys are disgusting and horrific. I mean, Jiad Ward, I guess, has been the Titans best edge rusher this year, but think about what we’re saying here. Jiad Ward. And Jiad Ward may have been pretty good in pass rush for the Titans throughout the season, but in run defense, he is a disaster. An outright disaster. that Raandre Stevenson touchdown. Jiad Ward just easily pinned inside by the offensive tackle. It’s not even close. Terrible. So, it’s like the team keeps making the same mistakes because they have a terrible coaching staff leading them. It’s not just Brian Callahan. It’s all the guys he hired are terrible, too. The quote unquote best players on the team are terrible. and the depth players are terrible and they’re the ones who are being asked to play now because of the injuries. It’s just again it’s as bad as it’s ever been, guys. This is the worst Tennessee Titans football team of my lifetime. And if you want to have some excitement, Gunner Helm played well today. Chim DK played awesome today. Kevin Winston made a big impact today. got a pressure on a quarterback blitz. Made a few special teams plays, get more time out there on defense, which is important. Tavandre Sweat, I didn’t think Tavandre Sweat had a very good game overall, but hey, he had that sack. He had that sack. He finally got to the quarterback. He put a quarterback on the ground. We’re going to be happy about that. We’re going to be happy about that. So, there are some rookies out there. Cedric Gray still playing pretty good football. There’s five guys right there that you can be excited about right now. Gunner Helm, Jim DK, Kevin Winston, Devandre Sweat, and Cedric Gray. There’s your There’s your five. Those are your five tightups for the day. Like, you could get excited about those, but outside of those players, you know, it’s rough. And you know, the Titans are looking like, well, the Jets are just absolutely ridiculous. The Jets are so bad that they might not, they actually might not win a game. And um either way, we have to take solace. Yeah. Funny from Jay. Even even the ball boy is messing up and and causing the Titans to mess up. The ball boy can’t handle the ball. So, you know, I see we need a better O line and defense guys. We need a better everything. We need a better everything. There is not a single position on this football team where you can’t look at it and say they need way better play. Not a single position on this football team is good right now. None. From top to bottom. Top to bottom. Tony Pard is worn down from last year’s workload. Taj Spears can’t be trusted. The wide receiver group is terrible. Cam Ward is playing terrible. The offensive line is playing terrible. The defensive line is getting bullied. They can’t rush the passer. They can’t stop the run. Outside of Cedric Gray, the linebacker spot is a disaster. Cornerback is one of the biggest disasters on the entire team. Safety has somehow become an absolute disaster as well. Everything is bad. Johnny Hecker was terrible in this game. Joey Sly kicked a kickoff straight out of bounds. What are we doing? Everything is bad. So, you know, I I hate the I feel like I’m repeating myself to some point like I like but it’s just it’s it’s deja vu every single week. Bad players, bad coaching, conservative play calling, turnovers, no pass rush, bad pass protection, no run defense, best players playing terrible, depth players not able to do anything. It’s just constantly terrible. So, I like I don’t know what else to say. I don’t know what else to say. It’s It’s a lost year. This is the worst year of Tennessee Titans football of my life ever, you know. And with Cam Ward playing so bad, it makes it feel so much worse. Cuz if Cam Ward played well and they still lost, I could live with that. But again, the worst thing coming out of this win, yeah, it’s the same old crap we’ve come to expect from the Titans, but Cam Ward is not getting better. He’s playing worse. And the mistakes that he’s making out there, you can’t even blame other people for him to, you know, you just can’t, if you’re a reasonable person, at some point you can’t blame Cam Ward or you can’t blame everything else for Cam Ward’s mistakes. It’s not anybody else’s fault he’s dropping the ball over the place. It’s not anyone else’s fault he’s three or four yards behind his wide receivers on throws. You know, that’s the worst part of all of this is Cam Cam Ward looks pretty bad. So that it’s unfortunate. Now, I know when I say Cam Ward looks bad today, Cam Ward has played bad. People, it’s like I say that and on the bottom the caption says Cam Ward is a bust. That’s not what I’m saying. I’m not saying that Cam Ward is a bust, but what I’m saying is he is playing poorly right now. And if you can’t admit that and say everyone else is playing bad, but Cam Ward’s playing bad, too. Again, I I just can’t have conversations with you about football cuz I don’t respect your intelligence. There’s no other way around it. Both things are true. The team is terrible and things around him are terrible. And Cam Ward is also playing terrible himself. And um every single week feels like rock bottom with this team. But getting stomped by Vrabel, having the fans cheer for him, it being an away game for the Titans. That was an away game for the Titans. Every game’s an away game for the Titans, it feels like, if you listen to the crowd. Um, but again, Cam Ward being so bad and not being able to blame it on anybody else, that’s definitely the worst thing about this one. But that’s going to do it for me today, folks. As always, I am your host, Tyler Roland, and this was Locked on Titans.
The Tennessee Titans lost in the same old ways as they always do to Mike Vrabel’s New England Patriots with no pass rush, bad run defense and Cam Ward making terrible turnovers. The ‘fired head coach’ bump they got last about one quarter before things all came crashing down. Cam ward was at the center of the issues as his fumbling problem continues to crush his team. Ward had some inaccuracy too that has to have fans concerned about whether Ward can win from the pocket long term. Finally, you look at the roster out on the field and it only gets more depressing as it is clear how far the Titans are from fielding a solid team regardless of who is at quarterback.

Just want to say the middle of our defense was wide open all night!!!!!
Sweat ain’t good so u we’re right
Been telling people Ward isn't it right now. Everyone was calling me a hater and saying it was the coaches fault or the ownership fault. While I don't disagree that the ownership and coaching needs to be better, Cam Ward is just not it. He needs to develop under a veteran for 2-3 seasons to adapt to the NFL and not be thrown to the wolves or made to take this retirement home of a team to a positive record
Different coach, same old Titans. Glad you're finally holding Cam Ward to his below than average play. That fumble, TD killed anything the team had left
Vrbrael took the best titans with him😂
We Need to trade for olave
In his 1983 rookie season with the Denver Broncos, John Elway completed 123 of 259 passes for 1,663 yards, 7 touchdowns, and 14 interceptions. He had a 4-7 record as a starter in 11 games, finishing with a passer rating of 54.9 and was sacked 28 times
Overview+3 In his 1998 rookie season, Peyton Manning started all 16 games, recording 3,739 passing yards, 26 touchdowns, and 28 interceptions,
Bro we have a rookie QB man give him a couple years
In his 2009 rookie season, Matthew Stafford played in 10 games for the Detroit Lions, recording 2,267 passing yards, 13 touchdowns, and 20 interceptions. He had a passer rating of 61.0 and the team finished with a 2–8 record in the games he started.
If anything our defense let us down smh secondary is crap fr
Sneed sucks
In his 1989 rookie season, Troy Aikman's stats included a (0-11) record as a starter, (1,749) passing yards, (9) passing touchdowns, and (18) interceptions. He also completed (155) of (293) passes and had a (52.9%) completion percentage.
I’ve been telling y’all since day one we should have drafted Sheduer, but nooo! Y’all didn’t want to hear it. You blamed everyone but Cam, You blamed Cally but yet there’s still turnovers and mistakes. You’ll never learn you will continue to blame everyone but Cam. The blame game continues.
And to think Jaxon dart went late in the first round… And he's looking like the future star when all the talk was cam and shedeur
In his 2018 rookie season, Josh Allen played in 12 games, threw for 2,074 yards, 10 touchdowns, and 12 interceptions, and had a 5-7 record as a starter. He also had 631 rushing yards and a 52.8% completion percentage.
Last season, the Titans BEAT the Patriots with Mason Rudolph as the starting QB! This year, the Titans get demolished with the #1 overall pick in the draft at QB.
My advice to any Titans fan is to get the NFL Network so you can watch a brief summary of the games and not waste 4 hours of your life watching trash. 🤣
In his second NFL season (2001), Tom Brady's stats were 2,843 passing yards, 18 touchdowns, and 12 interceptions, with a passer rating of 86.5 over 15 games. He also made his first Pro Bowl appearance during this season, in which his team had a record of 11-4.
The percentage of rookie quarterbacks who have led their teams to the playoffs is very low, with fewer than 25 ever having started as a primary starter for a playoff-qualifying team since the 1970 merger. While a precise historical percentage is not readily available in the provided search results, the low number of instances suggests a rate well below 20% and possibly even lower, especially when considering only those who have been the clear starter for the whole season.
In his 1984 NFL rookie season with the Houston Oilers, Warren Moon had 3,338 passing yards, 12 touchdowns, and 14 interceptions, with a passer rating of 76.9. He played in 16 games and also set a single-season franchise record for passing yards.
I mean Cam can’t just straight up drop the ball man. Surely that is fixable right? I didn’t see that in Miami last year. Where tf is this coming from? Is the ball bigger??
Brett Favre's rookie season was in 1991 with the Atlanta Falcons, where he appeared in 5 games, completing 32 of 70 passes for 315 yards, with 0 touchdowns and 4 interceptions. He also had a 31.4 passer rating, threw one fumble, and the Falcons went 0-1 in his starts, resulting in a 1-1 win-loss record for him as a rookie.
0 for 3: Malik Willis, Will Levis and Cam Ward. What’s next? It’s not a strong quarterback class again.
Several number one overall draft pick quarterbacks have taken their teams to the playoffs in their rookie year, including Cam Newton (2011), Ben Roethlisberger (2004), and John Elway (1983). Some of these quarterbacks, like Roethlisberger, also earned a first-round bye as a top seed.
Cam Newton: Led the Carolina Panthers to the playoffs in 2011.
Ben Roethlisberger: Guided the Pittsburgh Steelers to a 13-0 start and a first-round bye in the playoffs during the 2004 season.
John Elway: Started 10 games for the Denver Broncos in 1983, leading them to a playoff appearance.
Eli Manning: While drafted first overall by the Chargers, he was traded to the Giants and has led the Giants to multiple Super Bowl wins.
Peyton Manning: Was the first overall pick in 1998 and led the Colts to a playoff appearance in his rookie season.
Terry Bradshaw: Was a rookie quarterback for the Steelers in 1970 and led them to a playoff appearance.
Troy Aikman: Was the number one overall pick in 1989 and took the Cowboys to the playoffs in his rookie season.
AI is wrong on Troy Aikman. They were 1-15 his first year. Cam, you'll be ok.

Definitely a supporter but why do you think you’re in the minority of people that believe Cam is playing poorly?
