Chinakov is 24, has had some injuries and limited opportunity at CBJ. Regarded as natural scorer with his best assets being shot and offensive puck skills. His skating and defensive play are areas of criticism.
He requested a trade 3 months ago, and is a Russian national who could easily fuck off back to the K. I would expect he could be brought in pretty cheaply. Maybe time to move a second tier prospect and a pick out for some scoring help now?

He’s a natural scorer who can’t score and doesn’t do anything else
I wouldn’t give up future considerations for him
I don’t think this team has many goals in it, I’d be okay throwing a 4th – 7th at CBJ. Worst case he doesn’t perform, & returns to the KHL in the offseason
We have other players in our system that can replace Peterka (who doesn’t really need “replacing” the way Doan and Benson are playing). This guy isn’t going to just step into a 1st or 2nd line role with us.
I can offer a lightly used Isak Rosen
This is probably one of the dumbest choices Jarmo ever made as a GM. I would hope to god he doesn’t try it again.
You lost me at injuries.
I’m good.
We don’t need another reclamation project

What is this b.s. obsession that Paterka needs to be replaced? He was a net negative on the ice. Why would we want that again?
