FINAL 3 OUTS: Jeff Hoffman slams the door as the Blue Jays force Game 7 in the ALCS! π¨π¦
Coming up when the game finishes. Stay tuned for the postgame show on FS1 with Matt, Alex, Poppy, and Derek presented by Shouts. Jeff Offman’s going to stay in there, try to get the last six outs of this ball game. We’ll get it to game seven. Razor leads off and take strike one. So, when you look ahead to the game tomorrow for John Schneider, the pitching staff for the Blue Jays, Shane Bieber to start it, uh, you had Jeff Hoffman here probably going to be unavailable going two innings. Oh, he’ll be available. Yeah. Oh, yeah. Yeah, there won’t be anybody besides you Savage that won’t be available for a game seven. Yeah, I would think there no reason for him to roll back out in the ninth if he didn’t think he could bring him back. He’s only gone two full innings three times all year. Only gone more than one inning one time. So, this is much heavier load than he’s used to. But the point is they’re going to have a really loaded staff. one guard in the nine. Plus, as Kenny said, Matt Sher about a week ago that wouldn’t have necessarily felt like a great thing. Sher looking like a different guy in game four. Torres walking an RBI single. Six runs on 11 hits for the Blue Jays. Two runs on seven hits for the Mariners. Jays have out homered them two to one. And in the air column, zero for the Jays. Three by the Mariners. Same score as the fifth game, just flipped upside down. Six innings from that man in game three. All set for the game seven start. I tell you what, the crowd in Seattle was impressive. The crowd here has been impressive. There’s going to be some sore shoulders. They’ve been waving them towels. They’ve been flipping them around. They’ve been on their feet begging for game seven and they’re close to getting it. Here’s another 2-2 taken by Suarez. Scout goes full. What’s that like going to bed the night before when you fever? I mean, you this is what you’ve been hoping for, right? You got back here, you didn’t look good after two games. You’re like, man, if I could ever think about pitching in game seven, but the biggest thing is he’s got momentum on him side with the last four innings that he pitched in Seattle. He made the corrections. He had his slider working, pinpoint command. And on the other side, if you’re Kirby, you’re like, “All right, here we I’m if you’re Kirby, you you got to make the adjustments you you didn’t make in the in-game scenario against Toronto the first time.” And you if you haven’t been dreaming about this game, you better start dreaming about it cuz game sevens are the greatest in the world if you let them be. If you approach it like, “Oh no, I don’t want to be the goat.” It’s never a good situation for players like that. But it is a once ina-lifetime opportunity to I think it’s the greatest it’s the greatest game we have in our sport. Game seven, winner goes on, loser goes home. Two teams win tonight. The Blue Jays and the Los Angeles Dodgers, no matter who they face, will have gone the distance to get there. What I’ve noticed about both pitchers though, and again, you don’t know what’s under the hood. You can only read their mannerisms. They seem like very slow, heartbeat pitchers. That’s what you need to have in a game seven, especially on the road. 20 to 2 and one. And I will say when you’re the visiting pitcher, you’re facing this atmosphere. So if this atmosphere is going like this every time you’re out there, that doesn’t that doesn’t bode well for you. That means runners are on. That means things are happening. There’s all kinds of rallies. So, you want to keep that to a minimum. Two teams born in 77 going to play seven for the American League penalty to again. First pitch coming around 8 Eastern. Barring a miraculous two-out rally here from Seattle as Dominic Anzone comes up. You know who don’t like doesn’t like game sevens? Managers, they hate them. There’s nothing fun about managing a game seven. I don’t care what side you’re on because you have to read, react, and make decisions that have severe ramifications if they don’t go well. We’ve seen each manager survive decisions that didn’t go well. That’s why we’re out of game seven. Josh Schneider, third season as the manager, full-time role for the Blue Jays. Dan Wilson took over late last year. 32 pitches for Jeff Hoffman. Next one will match his season high. There goes Crawford from first. Popped out of his hand. After the five and two/3s from Treya Savage in this game, you talked about a nice start and some offense making life easier on John Schneider, make this an easier game to manage. And that’s what it became. Marlin one and a third, no runs. Hoffman trying to go the last two without a run. One to Kzone. Fouled off and he’s a strike away. Pop up. Buckle up for game seven tomorrow night. All the twists and the turns of this series, the highs and the lows, the nitpicking has led to a game seven to decide an American League champion. 17 innings tomorrow. Let’s go. That’s all Seattle knows how to play in chaos games. That’s true. They’ve certainly been here before, winning game five a little more than a week ago against Terk Scubble and the Detroit Tigers in 15. And you know, Karali love a shot at a bounceback game after his 0 for fourth day today with the air. So it is 6-2 in game five for the Mariners. It’s 6-2 in game six for the Blue Jays. Jeff Hoffman throws a season high number of pitches to finish off the game. Treya Savage with a bounceback. The 22-year-old moves to two and one in the postseason.
Jeff Hoffman secures the final three outs as the Blue Jays defeat the Mariners 6-2 in Game 6 of the ALCS to force a Game 7.

If Hoffman had been the closer yesterday, the Jays would be on to the finals.
Da blue jays win. Shout out to big papi
Hoffman probably won't be available tomorrow. He's one of the two reliable relievers in Jays' bullpen.
The Jays still aren't going to the World Series. They don't have what it takes
Game 7

Different year, same old Mariners
See you tomorrow, everyone: bars across the Greater Toronto Area will be filled to the brim on a Monday night for this!
Could've advanced tonight had it not been for john schneider
Tomorrow Vlad gets a chance to do what his dad did. Play in the fall classic. π
Jays defense also shut down the Mariners' offense with three double plays in straight innings
