Funniest part is that the 1970 Pittsburgh Pirates played in the best of 5 NLCS format versus the 2025 Milwaukee Brewers having a best of 7 NLCS format(changed in 1985).
There is a legitimate argument that these Brewers were just as bad in the NLCS as that 1970 Pirates team.

I will not be long for this sub if all there is between now and spring training is anti-Brewer banter. They had a better record than us. They beat us in a 5 game series and then got swept by LA (just like we would have). That’s it. That the story of this season. Move on and hope for more for the Cubs next season.
The retribution of the Baseball Gods was swift and merciless. Gifted them miraculous BABIP all season long, but the Brewers became prideful and spiteful, flying the flag with the mark of L. There was a terrible price to be paid.
