Christian McCaffrey’s 2 TDs Power 49ers to Win Over Falcons on SNF | Game Recap
another win. mentality takes once again for Robert Saleh for Kyle Shanahan. Entire situation with San. But in terms of the defensive effort, Tatum Bethune filling in future Hall of Famer Fred Warner and he showed up. He balled out. I on all three levels. And what he did in run support was felt went in for Fred Warner next guy? Who’s the next up and comer? Bijan Robinson is the next all around back. He’s the next great one. Oh, you must have forgot. Yeah. Christian McCaffrey is the best running back in the league. If you saw what I Shanahan with his design to get Christian the ball every which way he does. The amount of touches he’s going through when he is healthy, he is a bad man and he one. The Niners have been here. They’ve played a lot of prime time games. They’re used to that, have a lot of experience of playing when their players are injured, right. They’ve been used to attrition over then scrimmage yards to the point of Bijan Robinson 14 for 40 on the ground, another 52 through the air. He is the straw that stirs the drink. Did you on the top of this. And Robert Saleh did a fantastic job. Or of forcing so many pieces on offense where he did not want to get into a shootout. And so it was always going to be we’ret yards. And then in the past game you know six. He you know he got some first down conversions no doubt. But they didn’t let Bijan Robinson beat them. ten points 292 total yards. I want your thoughts here. Proper usage because we’ve seen him pop. We’ve seen this run game lead the NFL 161 yards per game. of m produces week to week? This is the first telling sign. Watch the NFL week in and week out. When you’re trying to determine who is in a certain consistent trend of production. That’s the issue for Atlanta. You understand what happened in Carolina and then that debacle in Carolina, and then you come back last week against playoff caliber team. And we see the total opposite. So this is a telling sign for me that they’re not there yet. The NFC North NFC South I’m sorry, is Tampa Bay’s division or on the road. And that is the most confusing, annoying thing. You can’t tell me you look how you look last week. Yeah, dominant for four quarters on both sides of the football field side of tl field. That’s the issue. So that tells all of us they’re not there yet. And they have to find a way. Because one thing about playoff caliber teams, they thrive Atlanta was trying to survive tonight understand tt building a little bit. Robert Saleh not there during your the leadership in that football like we’ve we’ve been told next man up since Little League. I mean we’ve seen injuries football careers. You’re used to that. A lot of us got our starts because someone else went down. And then you get in, because foa sport where I say every single play starts from a dead ball, we draw up a defense, you draw up an offense, every play is out of bounds play. So you got to get on your going to stop Bijan. No Fred Warner he’s going to go off. You talked about bringing pressure. Pressure. They found ways to keep Bijan in protection. He designed he pressured more than he has this year quarterback, te receiver, the tight end play well enough for Atlanta. And you talked what they have he sees he wants to go out of bounds. But then he sees the end zone. He made the right play. It just they wound up getting zero points when they could have gotten three. But tonight inexcusable Michael was whipping that ball through the Seattle rain. When they went to work him out throw it out of the back of the end zone. Instead he threw it out of bounds. It was ruled intentional grounding. Of course. The ball hits every sine point. It changes the end game there, right? Right down a touchdown and the end is not down. You got to kick a field goal. The onside kick. It’s if it’s a one score game down the stretch. And that’s the difference. We talk about. Win e ten. And that’s what the plus one the coaching Kyle Shanahan I know you get mad at him every year in the playoffs in the Super Bowls and stuff, but give this man credit. and counting. Here on CBS sports HQ. JJ, I want to give you an opportunity to wax poetic about Christian McCaffrey as force ins victory tonight. I’m not going to ask you if you’re surprised at his level of production at the year, but this is the most touches. This is the highest usage rate we’ve seen throughout his career. Does thaI do believe it is better to just keep drafting running backs and rounds three ultimately paying one. But there are a few difference makers in the NFL. There’s matter how many touchesu put on him and on his body over the years he is still able without a doubt the best player on the football field on either side of the ball. He was, he’s t showing up on the injury report. That’s not something that’s ever going away. It’s just lying dormant flare up again. He continues to handle himself and his body like a off Mac Jons last year. So much so that he signed a two year contract. Really cashed in in the off season. Christian McCaffrey comes through for the Niners. It was interesting and indicative Then it’s 23 in the endzone Logan I want to go to something that you said earlier before the reception. First much excitement off of blocking people. And it’s different because Gronk was in New England in the pass game and Kittle’s the number one option in the pass game in San Francisco. that this guy is so excited to say, hey, I’m not a top receiver tonight, but when I’m on the field, it goes up so much more because I’m going to get mixed it up with Trent Williams, we can run behind us on the left side. I’ll flash back and I’ll get my nose dirty and I’ll get in there and dig some people out. It’s a two loss team that’s been send some without their starting quarterback in Brock Purdy. Mac Jones gets the job done again. Mac, when we zoom toughest division in football when you look at San Francisco caliber team, great coach. And when you look at Seattle what they’ve done about what happens with the NFC West. And I could see all three of those teams that I just highlight, similar to what we saw last year with the NFC North, with them having three representatives in the playoffst October schedule and say, you know what, we still have a lot of football left to be played math and math. But when you’re playing in that type of division, every game matters. It matters. It doesn’t matter. t know don’t matter if you’re in pole position or not in that division as max down to the wire with a lot of good football teams, a lot of good football players. Depth once again on display

saleh is holy
Promising young defense, bang bang!
I love watching CBS Sports highlights after a 49ers WIN! It doesn't disappoint once again. NICE!!!!
Being a Falcons fan is the most maddening thing ever. Coaching is so terrible, how does Bijan not get enough touches? I don’t care if we are down, get the ball to your best player however you can just like the 49ers got it to CMC. Coaching lost us that game, no game plan and no sense of urgency, that’s coaching man.
major win!! kyle coach of the year? should be considered?
This is the game that showed everyone who is back.
Those dudes are so salty over the 49ers dominating that I thought they might cry. Lol. They couldn't bring themselves to compliment the 49ers as a good team.
NINERS ALL DAY 💪🏼💪🏼
The unsung hero of this game….Alfred Collins that big huge #95 was huge, he might have nothing on the stat sheet but wow you kept seeing 95 disrupt their running game and pushing that line back….
Next mNpup
23 a beast
The 49ers have been pulling the Falcons punk card for 45 years. Just acknowledge it and move on.
Doing everything but giving the niners credit we had their number tonight they were balling we just played better plain and simple
This is what a real Heisman do. Henry aint bad. But he's not the weapon CMC is.
National RB day that's why teammates was selfless tonight and let him shine.
Brendel going out and Hennessy going in for the 49ers changed the momentum of this game. If Shanahan is the genius everyone says he is, he'll keep Hennessy in the game.
CMac Runs downhill.
He jukes and whatnot, but he mostly points and goes.
