was a nice start. Um, Aaron Rodgers is not the issue. Nobody sat around all summer saying Aaron’s got to lead the Steelers. Aaron in his prime in Green Bay. Yes. Aaron at 40 with Mike Tomlin. That’s not what we thought. He tried to go deep in the second quarter and he got burned. Um, I don’t think this is a deep ball offense. I think it’s a tight end offense. And DK Metaf, his mobility’s been excellent. He leads the NFL in touchdown passes. He’s more than mobile enough. um in his prime. We wanted more. I think he’s overd delivering right now. He’s been unbelievable. They just got to keep throwing to tight ends. When Aaron throws to tight ends, all four of his touchdowns last night were tight ends. When he throws the tight ends this year, 73% completion percentage, 118 passer rating. So, I think Aaron’s made the offense smarter, more reliable. They’ve got like an NBA front line of tight end and receiver size and he’s throwing underneath a lot when he went deep up the left sideline. I think second quarter he got burned. I don’t think that’s what the offense is. So he’s spreading the ball around. Eight different guys made a catch. Yeah, this is the one up the left sideline. I in a double coverage. I just don’t think that’s what this offense is. That’s that’s not what it is. Um this is tight end le. So I think Aaron’s been great. He’s one of the few things working. The run defense was atrocious. The pass defense, the pass rush, I don’t know what I’m getting, but offensively with Aaron, the Steelers are on track to have their most yards per play since the last great Big Ben year. Remember that Big Ben year where he had like 35 touchdowns. The following year, he had the elbow injury and the surgery. The last great Big Ben year, this is they were putting up these kind of numbers at quarterback. So that was 2018. So I don’t worry about Aaron at all. Aaron has held up his end of the bargain. I think he’s been really good. I think he’s identified the size advantage with their bigs. Darnell Washington, Frier, Muth, Hayward, even DK Metaf, not a tight end, but he is playing to Pittsburgh’s offensive strength, size and physicality. Here he was after the loss. Listen, we want to win every game. Uh there there needs to be an expectation of winning, but uh this is a short week, division opponent. anything can happen. Uh, obviously Joe played really well for them. This is the NFL. You know, we had a chance to really open up some space, but we’re 4-2, still first in the division. I’m not going to ride the roller coaster, and I know Mike isn’t. And hopefully you guys follow suit. It’s interesting. He goes to the Jets for a couple years and he can’t rely upstairs on the dysfunction and then he goes to Pittsburgh. Now, he can’t rely on the defense. Maybe Aaron’s not the problem with New York and Pittsburgh because I think he’s played really, really well. I know he’s not being graded particularly high because he’s not throwing the ball down the field. You watched last night. That’s not what this offense is. Yeah, Aaron Rogers has been awesome. Aaron Rogers has been elite. Everybody always just wants to hate on Aaron Rogers because of Aaron Rogers reasons, but I don’t even fully blame him blame people because, you know, he’s he’s Aaron Rogers. He’s always been a little been a little difficult, but he’s he’s he’s not the problem at all. He’s he’s been playing awesome. He’s been playing as great at quarterback as you could ever ask your quarterback to play. That’s just the reality of the situation. Um, this offense has been awesome. And this offense against the Bengals was awesome. And that’s why I said in my previous video, like I want to see them make a move. I want to see them get another piece for Aaron to work with offensively, another receiver, and go all in and boost up that defense. Go all in. start start trying to get the pieces of the teams that are that are collapsing and and are looking to sell sell sell. Get out there and make a move. This team can be legitimate. This team can be a bonafide top team in the NFL. That’s what I kind of keep pushing. That’s what I said a lot in my uh you know uh postgame uh video on Friday. The Steelers have a real real real chance. Look around the NFL right now. Who scares you? Nobody. Nobody. This is not last year or the year before where you’re looking at these other teams and you’re just like, man, are we really going to be able to keep up with the Can we really keep up with the Bills? Can we really keep up with the Eagles, the whoever? Like, that’s not what this year is about. That’s not what this year is about. This year is like, don’t make mistakes and be highly functional. Be disciplined. Don’t hurt yourself. The Steelers lost this game mainly because of the two turnovers and the one interception was such a fluke interception. Such a fluke interception. That’s really why Yeah, the defense was not good enough. Undeniably, but if they didn’t turn the ball over, wouldn’t have mattered. The Steelers would have won. Be competent. That’s all you got to do. Be competent. And you’re winning a lot of games this season. So, you know, everyone’s kind of all doom and gloom at the Stewish because they’re like, “Well, now they got to play this team. Now they got to play that team. now they got to play this team and it’s like okay and the Steelers can’t hang. Of course they can. Of course they can. But make some moves at the trade deadline to really reinforce that. If I’m the Steelers and if I’m a Steelers fan and I’m watch this I’m like you better go all in. We have a real chance. Look around the league. What are we waiting for? Go all in. Get after it. Aaron has been awesome. Awesome. He is everything you could ask for a quarterback right now. Everything you could ask. The run game has been great. The O line has been great. The coaching has been great. Everyone’s been great on offense. Everyone Everyone’s doing their job. I’ve been so impressed with the run game. It’s so physical, so aggressive, so violent. I love it. I love it. Just bullying their way through. You see them fighting just even for that one extra yard. It’s just everyone is just all on the same page. All on the same page. And again, imagine if you give Aaron Rogers another receiver. We We have a Jamar Chase, T. Higgins, and Joe Flacco. I mean, Joe Flacco was able to do whatever he wanted offensively. Give Aaron Rogers another big receiver. It’s money. It’s money. It’s game over offensively. All you do is just got to give him a second in the pocket and it’s game over. Game over. Make a couple trades defensively, start to actually put pressure on quarterbacks, it’s done. It’s a wrap. Bonafide true elite top team in the NFL. And anyone doubting would just be hating off of preconceived notions of Aaron and the Pittsburgh Steelers of the Pittsburgh Steelers and Mike Tomlin. I think if you get three new players at the trade deadline, one offensive player, two defensive players, I’m not going to go out there and start picking names. It’s up for you all to decide. You go do that. Why is this team not a top team in the NFL? Why are we going to say, “Well, the Lions are better, the Bucks are better, the Chiefs are better, the Eagles are better.” Why would we say any of that based off of what? Opinions of how we felt about these teams before the season started or or based on what we saw last year and the year before? That doesn’t make sense. That doesn’t make sense at all. I think there is a real real real opportunity here for the Pittsburgh Steelers. A real opportunity. I see that game last the other night and I get excited. I really do. So that’s why I keep telling Steelers fans, do whatever you got to do. March down Forbes. March down Fifth. Do whatever you got to do. flood the streets of Oakland. Where what? Whatever you got to do, you just do it and you say, “Make a move. Make a move. We can win. We We can have another ring here.” I remember when I was living in Pittsburgh, uh, when the last time they won a Super Bowl and the buses, they all had the hand with the R with all the rings on it and it was just like, “We win rings. That is what we do.” And I think there’s a real chance here. a real chance here. And I just got to give another shout out to the Pittsburgh Steelers fan base for I asked you guys to watch the full length of the video and you all showed up. You all subscribed and when you did that, we absolutely took off and this video now is a couple days old and it is the one of the most watched videos of this entire channel out of over 4,000 plus videos. and just Steelers fans adding nearly 500 new subscribers and they’ve added thousands of subscribers over uh these last few weeks. Literally thousands. So, you all keep showing up. I cannot thank you enough. All I can ask is that you keep doing it so we can keep adding, keep building so we can continue to have the best possible Pittsburgh Steelers uh conversations and really be firmly rooted in this sports world. Uh, that is ultimately what I’m trying to do so we can have real conversations, make real content, and just get after it. But I’m telling you, the Steelers, they have a real path here, man. The previous years, you’re kind of like, “Yeah, I can see it. I can see Yeah, this and this, this.” They have a real path forward. They have a real team, a real path. Shocking what a real quarterback can do for you. So, I’m telling you, man, get after. I want to see three new additions. Offense, defense, defense. Boom. Bonafide, undeniable. Top team in the NFL. Go all in, man. Take a big swing. It’s like, what else are you waiting for? Because you’re going to have to hit the reset button anyway once Aaron leaves. Like, what what’s the exact move anyway, right? Like, you’re going to have to draft a quarterback or I don’t know what other quarterback would he be available for you to like kind of try to get out there and scoop. There’s really no Daniel Jones, Sam Darnold type situations I feel like coming up in these next couple of years. There’s no other one where it’s like actually we could take this quarterback. The closest you would have to that is like a Justin Fields and I don’t think Justin Fields is going to be resurrected in the way that uh you know Sam Darnold did and Baker Mayfield did. Uh and the Steelers obviously had already been there done that. Uh so it’s just like go all in this season man. Just take a big swing, get after it. Those are just my thoughts.
