Honestly yeah this was our worst performance by far this year but we are going into the bye at 4-3 and most of our toughest opponents we’ve already played I’m pretty sure if anyone told us this before the season started would be our record with a new coach and the schedule we’ve played so far we would have ripped their hands off and taken it
Last year, the Bucs were 4-6 before the bye week just outscoring their opponents 279-266 (27.9-26.6 per game). After the bye week, they went 6-1 and outscored their opponents 223-119 (31.9-17 per game).
Commanders went from 8-5 to a 4-0 finish to the season last year after their bye. Now, Jayden Daniels was amazing, but they were also a team that revamped everything in one year.
Sure, it doesn’t work for every team, every year – see the Steelers for an example of constant fall-offs after the bye week in recent years.
However, if Coen and Campanile can work on cleaning up one or two things over the bye there is some hope.
“he just needs another year!” vibes.
The reality right now is that this team is worse than their record.
The defense was ranked 23th coming into this game, the offense 17th, and the special teams OK-to-bad (OK in coverage and returns, bad in kicking). Turnover luck has been the thing hiding that, and now that that has dried up, the flaws are evident.
The team needs to make substantial improvements, not just hope that the turnover magic reappears.
We desperately need strange and Walker back without a cast. And probably a trade for someone.
I think plenty of great teams make adjustments in the bye week or even week to week. Thanks for the take.
We have two options. Believe in the staff and have faith*. Or doom and gloom the entire year. We are not yet at option two. So we ride with Duvaaal Faith
Sadly, I think our biggest move this week will be at Kicker.
Hopefully Trevor, BTJ and Travis spend the entire bye week working on whatever the hell is going on.

the injuries have really killed us and i have big concerns that the tyson campbell trade really affected the vibes of the team. hoping they can get things together to be a presentable team for the rest of the season rather than this embarrassment.
